Story
Orion is a 3-year-old rescue from the Huntsville Animal Shelter. Orion loves to go on walks and car rides; he makes a great travel companion. Orion likes to cuddle with people and smother them in love. Sometimes he can even be a bit rude when it comes to personal space. Orion is a very loving dog, he enjoys being right beside his person at all times. He is the perfect dog for someone who needs a loving companion. Orion has separation anxiety; he doesn't do well when being left at home. (He does not like to be left at home alone, and will bark for a short period) The ideal owner would have a lot of free time and a decent sized yard. Please reach out if you have the room for an extremely loving and protective dog.

Story
Dante is about 1 year old. He is a pretty quiet dog in the house and at night. He is not house trained but he knows how to sit & go out. He loves to play and his favorite toy is the pull rope and fetch. He loves to run and he can jump really high. He’s friendly toward people and kids but he has the tendency to get excited and jump on them. I would like to say he’s good with dogs. He plays with a small dog often. He hasn’t been to a dog park not sure how he does with bigger dogs but he thinks he is a small dog. He is up to date on shots and he is neutered

Story
Meet Buddy (A564557), a gentle soul hoping for a quiet place to finally exhale. Buddy walks nicely on a leash, though he does best with a little encouragement and reassurance along the way. He is on the nervous side and still figuring things out, so we are not sure what tricks he knows yet. What we do know is that Buddy is not impressed by toys or treats. His real love language is calm company and peaceful moments.Buddy shines in relaxed environments where he can do what he loves most. Running freely in the yard, settling in close for cuddles, and curling up in a lap when he feels safe. He has tested well with female dogs and seems happiest when things stay low key and predictable. The shelter can be a scary, overwhelming place for a dog like Buddy. He is ready for a home where he can feel secure, decompress, and enjoy the simple comforts of love and routine. If you have a calm home and a soft spot for shy dogs, Buddy would love to meet you. Buddy is guesstimated to be 1 year old and weighs 50 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Buddy? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D35. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID

Story
**In foster - please call ahead to meet** Meet Hannah, a stunning beauty with impeccable manners. Hannah will thrive in a calm, adults-only home where she can be the only dog. She’s not a fan of sharing the spotlight with children or other pups, but she gets along great with cats - so feline friends are welcome! This smart girl is fully housetrained and can comfortably stay home alone for a few hours while you’re out. When you’re together, she’s happiest playing with her favorite toys or snuggling up for some quiet company. Hannah rides great in the car when necessary, but she's a bit of a homebody who doesn't mind staying in. Does this easygoing, affectionate gal sound like your type? She might just be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Milo (A562857) If there has ever been a dog who has known nothing but love, it is Milo. Born April 7, 2024, Milo was one of 11 puppies and was scooped up by his family the moment he was old enough. He has been cherished, doted on, and treated like family his entire life. Unfortunately, due to major life changes, Milo is now facing something completely new for him. Being without a family. It is no fault of his own, and it has been a big adjustment for this sweet boy. Milo is energetic, affectionate, and full of life. He absolutely loves being outside, especially when it involves walks and fresh air. He can be a little strong at times, but with training his leash manners have already improved a lot. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you are doing and will happily follow you around like your shadow. If you enjoy kisses, constant companionship, and a dog who truly wants to be part of your world, Milo is your guy.He is playful and fun, loves toys, and will proudly bring them to you so you can see how awesome they are. Milo grew up with a teacup poodle and did great, and he has also lived around cats with no issues. He has been around children as young as eight and did wonderfully. Sometimes he forgets he is about 60 pounds when he gets excited, but he listens when corrected and settles quickly. Since he is still young, a slow feeder is recommended since he has not quite learned that inhaling meals is not ideal yet.Milo is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves hard. He may whine if he is away from his people for too long because being close to his humans is what he knows and loves most. This sweet, loyal boy is looking for a family who will give him the stability and affection he has always had and deserves again. If you are looking for a fun, loving, people obsessed companion who will fill your days with energy and your heart with love, Milo is ready to meet youMilo is guesstimated to be 1 year old and weighs 60 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Milo? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D29. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID
