Deku is 7 yr old He sleeps on our couch and we dont ever crate him when we go out for the day. He likes to watch TV and likes his Bone. He love to go to doggy daycare too and get to play with the other dogs. He walks on a leash to go outside to go potty. He loves to snuggle up on the couch. With us having a baby on the move now our baby just wants to be all in his dog food and tries pulling on him and messing with all our dog stuff wanting to put the dogs stuff in her mouth. Bentley is my rescue dog, and I adopted him four years ago. He’s turning ten this year! I’m so sad to say that I need to find him a forever home. My work schedule and travel make it impossible for me to care for him. I can’t bring him along when I travel. I’m hoping someone will love him forever.

**In foster - please call ahead to meet** Meet Hannah, a stunning beauty with impeccable manners. Hannah will thrive in a calm, adults-only home where she can be the only dog. She’s not a fan of sharing the spotlight with children or other pups, but she gets along great with cats - so feline friends are welcome! This smart girl is fully housetrained and can comfortably stay home alone for a few hours while you’re out. When you’re together, she’s happiest playing with her favorite toys or snuggling up for some quiet company. Hannah rides great in the car when necessary, but she's a bit of a homebody who doesn't mind staying in. Does this easygoing, affectionate gal sound like your type? She might just be your perfect match!

Story
Meet Macie (A564579), a sweet soul who is new to our shelter and quietly hoping this is her last stop. At 8 years old, Macie knows exactly who she is. She is very much a people dog and would prefer to keep it that way. Making new doggy friends is not on her wish list, so she would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. When Macie first arrived, she was pretty shut down in her kennel, but we are already seeing her personality come through. Once she is out, she relaxes and shows just how lovely she can be. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys spending time outside, wandering and sniffing out all the good smells on her own.Macie knows “sit” and “speak” and is very food motivated, which makes her a great candidate for learning even more. Age is just a number to her, and she would love a home that enjoys bonding through gentle training, walks, and quiet time together. If you are looking for a loyal companion who is past the chaos of puppyhood and ready to be your one and only, Macie might be the perfect fit for you. Come meet her and see just how special she is. Macie is guesstimated to be 8 years old and weighs 51 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Macie? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find her in kennel D28. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID

Story
Meet Milo (A562857) If there has ever been a dog who has known nothing but love, it is Milo. Born April 7, 2024, Milo was one of 11 puppies and was scooped up by his family the moment he was old enough. He has been cherished, doted on, and treated like family his entire life. Unfortunately, due to major life changes, Milo is now facing something completely new for him. Being without a family. It is no fault of his own, and it has been a big adjustment for this sweet boy. Milo is energetic, affectionate, and full of life. He absolutely loves being outside, especially when it involves walks and fresh air. He can be a little strong at times, but with training his leash manners have already improved a lot. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything you are doing and will happily follow you around like your shadow. If you enjoy kisses, constant companionship, and a dog who truly wants to be part of your world, Milo is your guy.He is playful and fun, loves toys, and will proudly bring them to you so you can see how awesome they are. Milo grew up with a teacup poodle and did great, and he has also lived around cats with no issues. He has been around children as young as eight and did wonderfully. Sometimes he forgets he is about 60 pounds when he gets excited, but he listens when corrected and settles quickly. Since he is still young, a slow feeder is recommended since he has not quite learned that inhaling meals is not ideal yet.Milo is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and loves hard. He may whine if he is away from his people for too long because being close to his humans is what he knows and loves most. This sweet, loyal boy is looking for a family who will give him the stability and affection he has always had and deserves again. If you are looking for a fun, loving, people obsessed companion who will fill your days with energy and your heart with love, Milo is ready to meet youMilo is guesstimated to be 1 year old and weighs 60 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Milo? All you have to do is stop by our shelter at 4950 Triana Blvd and head to our dog areas. You can find him in kennel D29. All adopters must be 19 years or older with a valid ID

Story
Meet Chance (A564246) In his kennel, Chance can seem a little unsure of himself, the kind of dog who hangs back and quietly watches the world go by. But take him outside and it is like flipping a switch. Suddenly he is relaxed, happy, and ready to enjoy life. Fresh air is his comfort zone, and watching him soak it in is pretty special. Plus, that little nub tail wagging away is enough to melt anyone on the spot.Chance does great with female dogs and has a really respectful play style. He enjoys playing, but he is not pushy and knows when it is time to settle down and relax. He also loves treats and is very motivated to work for them. He already knows sit and shake, and with just a little more time and guidance, he could easily learn even more.If you are looking for a gentle, sweet companion who just needs someone willing to see past the kennel nerves and give him a fair shot, Chance is waiting. Give Chance a chance. Chance is guesstimated to be 2 years old and weighs 58 lbs. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.Ready to meet Chance? Story
Age: 5 years 6 months Why do you need to rehome Nova? She's very aggressive with my other female dog, I've done training. She's on trazadone and still fights leading to many vet visits costing me thousands. It's not fair for her to remain in a home that she's not happy in. How does your pet get along with dogs/cats? Not females Does your pet have any behavioral notes (digs/climb fences/food guarding/toy guarding, etc)? Toy guarding with other dogs. We call her the fun police when other dogs at home are playing, she gets worked up and barks at them a lot. I think she would thrive in a home with no pets. I love Nova so much she had no training when I adopted her. She's come a long way, but I can no longer care for her. My physical health is declining as well. I can't keep breaking up these fights. She's such a cutie I call her my little moo moo or derp lol. She loves cuddles, kisses, scratches and just being with her human.
