Story
Hi my name is Astro! My mom had puppies and I was the last dog left that no one wanted. We decided to keep him until someone else wanted him but that forever home never came. I’m a sweet dog and great with children! I spend most of my time being lazy and sunbathing. I do enjoy playing and I’m energetic only while playing. I love cuddles and belly rubs. I won’t jump on you when getting excited. Please help me find my forever home!

Story
I am Calli. I am playful and in need of a special owner who can care for my special needs. Due to my kidney issues, I am on a special diet and medication. I am greedy with my food and need to be your only pet. I am off-site, currently getting care from a family that is fostering me until I can go to my forever home. If you are the owner for me, make an appointment to learn more about how I can be yours.   ##1229232##

Story
Zeus was found wandering the streets. Unfortunately, his owner's circumstances have changed and they are unable to take him, so I agreed to foster him and help find his forever home. He is about 5 years old, 85 lbs, fully vaccinated, house trained, and a big lunk of love. He doesn't bark and I have seen no signs of food aggression. He would make a great companion dog and would prefer you to be home most of the time (work from home or retiree would be great). He bonds quickly and just wants to be with his people. Zeus gets along with my 2 yr old golden-doodle and is very tolerant of his youthful pestering. Zeus knows a few basic commands (sit, stay, no), rides well in the car, and would love to sleep in the bed with you if you allow it. (He sleeps on a dog bed at my house, but wishes I'd let him on the bed). He would love a house with easy indoor/outdoor access (doggy door) but it's not required.

Story
Walrus was found abandoned in stockton and was passed between several owners who were inexperienced or unable to keep a med-large dog. Shelters were full at the time so i agreed to take her on for a short time but immediately after two of three people in my house lost our jobs and we already have other pets to support we havent been able to vaccinate or spay her due to this shes energetic and loves other dogs and kids but needs socializing and training im unable to provide at this time. Food motivated and intelligent but forgets how large she is when shes excited.

Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
