Story
Samson aka Son is one of the best dogs/sons anyone could have. Yes that is a heart shaped nose!! Cause he’s a lover boy! He loves to go on walks!!! He loves to cuddle in the bed at night, scared of the edge of the bed so will continue to push you to the edge all night long. He has toddler human siblings, they are 2 and 1 and he is really good with them, but with other kids he’s just really excited just like a little kid and a little rough, be careful introducing Samson to new children. He loves his family and anybody he recognizes. Very protective of his family. He has younger human siblings that he loves but sometimes can be jealous and may growl if too annoyed. Samson is a great dog, huge on cuddling and treats, if you have a back yard even better! He loves to run, even though he doesn’t go to dog parks because he is not good with other dogs.

Story
Maverick is the sweetest boy. He’s a year and half and we’ve had him for almost a year. We are struggling to make ends meet and can’t afford to give him the fulfilled life he deserves. He loves to run and play and loves people. He hasn’t had a lot of contact with kids, cats and other dogs, but he’s never had a bad interaction. He is a very high energy and happy dog, buts he’s also a giant cuddler who wants to always be with his people and thinks he’s a lap dog. He is behind on some of his shots due to financial issues, but other than that he is in good health. We have also been wanting to get him some professional training due to some behavioral issues. He knows basic tricks and commands, but he is reactive on leash and recently has been resource guarding his food, but I believe it is due to stress from us being at work. We have difficult schedules to keep him on a routine and he seems to have some separation anxiety. We love Maverick very much and want the best life for him.

Story
Calliope is a little over a year old, a beautiful mix of pitbull and (we think) border collie. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and brimming with energy. This playful girl loves the outdoors, chew toys, and most of all, anything involving a ball. She would thrive in a home with a yard and someone who enjoys being active, whether that’s playing fetch, going for walks, or just spending time outside. Calliope does great with other dogs. She has been a wonderful addition for our pit bull this past year. Unfortunately, our pitty has been diagnosed with cancer and can no longer keep up with Calliope’s playful energy. Calliope has been wonderful with our 4-year-old, but due to her working dog nature we think she’d do best in a home with older children or adults only. Calliope is a sweet, affectionate dog who deserves a family that can match her enthusiasm and give her the active lifestyle she craves. She wasn’t the right fit for our current situation, but we know the right fit is out there

Story
Meet Provolone, our lovable pittie mix gentleman! He is a fun-loving, silly boy with a nice balance of playfulness and affection.Provolone recently spent a week in foster care so we could find out more about him.We found out he’s an easy energy dog.He needs a little exercise each day, then he’s fine with chilling after that.He loves soaking in the sun.He likes giving and receiving affection, and he’ll follow wherever you go.But he’s not clingy or needy. He’ll cuddle for a couple minutes, then hang out nearby enjoying your company. He’s good on leash, enjoys a nice romp around the neighborhood, and checks in nicely with his leash handler. He loved his foster mom and foster dad equally and was excited to get attention from either. He’s treat motivated, takes treats gently, and learns easily. We haven’t seen him around kids or cats.Pro had good manners in his foster home and was not destructive. He loves toys and is happy to play with them with you or by himself if you’re too busy. He’s crate trained and sleeps quietly all night in his crate. While his people are away, he’s happy to chill in his crate with a chew bone. He’s also potty trained and had no accidents in his foster home.We do always suggest close monitoring and putting new dogs on a potty schedule until they acclimate to their new environment to make sure they are set up for success.Provolone has met lots of dogs in our shelter playgroups and done well.We think he would enjoy a playful female canine companion in his new home. He’s shared his shelter suite with multiple dogs at the shelter. His current pittie gal pal and he can be found wrestling or enjoying the sun beam that comes into their suite in the afternoons. He’s been waiting patiently for someone to notice just how wonderful he is.He promises to bring love, laughter, and wiggle-butt greetings.Check out Provolone`s playgroup videos here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm.

Story
Meet Stanley, the lovable hunk with a heart as big as his blocky head! This handsome pittie is a low-drama, easy-energy kind of guy who’s just looking for a home that appreciates his goofy charm and zest for zoomies.Stanley is on the chunky side (more to love!), and he could benefit from shedding a few pounds—but don’t be fooled, this boy can MOVE. His favorite pastime? Running big joyful laps around the play yard like he’s training for the World’s Happiest Marathon. Give him some open space, and he’ll put that grin to work. When it comes to other dogs, Stanley isn’t much of a social butterfly—unless your idea of friendship is side-by-side sprinting. He’s not into rough-and-tumble or wrestling matches but might enjoy a canine buddy who shares his love for the open track.Stanley’s vibe is delightfully chill when he’s not mid-zoom, and he has an easygoing presence that makes him a joy to hang out with. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts mellow companion and backyard athlete, Stanley might just be your guy.Ready to cheer on this chunky track star as he trots into his best life? Stanley’s laced up and waiting! This cutie guy has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. Story
Meet ElectraThis adorable live wire is ready to light up your life! Electra is a bright, playful pup who loves a good game of fetch and proudly shows off her “come” and “sit” skills. Her signature bat ears are always on alert—she doesn’t miss a thing (especially the sound of a treat bag!).Electra’s got a hint of mischief in her, but her biggest wish is to make you happy. She’s full of energy and enthusiasm, so she’ll need someone who can keep up with her adventurous spirit. She can be a strong puller on leash—especially when a squirrel dares to cross her path—but she listens well to gentle correction and aims to please. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, big-hearted pup who’ll keep you smiling (and maybe keep the squirrels on their toes), Electra’s your girl! This fun cutie has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  She`s previously shared her shelter suite with a very rude bitey puppy, and she`s helping him (and us!) by teaching him some manners.  Nanny dogs are really good at teaching rude puppies about bite inhibition, and she`s doing a great job.  She`s a helper dog in playgroups, and she is able to play with the big rude dogs and teach some manners and burn off some of their energy.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. Story
Meet Baloo, your snuggle girly! 💖 Baloo is a beautiful 3-year-old Boxer/American Staffy mix with the softest cuddles and the silliest personality. This girl is searching for a patient, loving home where she can truly shine. Baloo is incredibly gentle and absolutely wonderful with children. She has a calm, tender spirit that makes her a great fit for families. She does best with older kids or younger children who can understand and respect her boundaries. This cutie is very eager to learn! She picks up on routines quickly, responds beautifully to praise, and genuinely wants to please. Baloo can be timid when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet, cuddly personality blossoms. She thrives with someone patient, gentle, and willing to build trust at her pace. In terms of the perfect home, Baloo would flourish in a place with no other pets, or with a calm, larger neutered male dog who gives her space and helps her feel secure. Ready to meet this cuddle bug? (spay on 12/29)
