Story
85lb, 6-year-old Pit Bull who is the SWEETEST to all humans. He lives with 2 cats and a bunny and is a very good boy for those wanting a best friend. He thinks he is a lap cat. He is not a guard dog, but barks when someone comes into the home. He is VERY dog reactive/aggressive due to a sad upbringing (he was adopted 3 years ago from a shelter). He cannot go to dog parks or be in a home with any other dog. He is good for nail trims, vet appointments and grooming, but techs. Reason for rehoming is due to special needs small children accidentally hurting him and letting him outside and taking off his collar. The home is becoming dangerous for the DOG, not the children. Walks with face and body harnesses, eager to please, treat motivated. Does not like water play like lakes or ocean. loves walks and home body. Loves to cuddle, rough play and laze about. Perfect for a home as a single dog with loving family including babies, adults and children of all ages.

Super sweet and loving. Everyone loves and adores him. He is super gentle and full of excitement when he sees his humans. He has been raised around little kids, over dogs and cats. He is a huge cuddle bug and just loves being on bed next to his loved ones. Potty trained and a great listener to commands. Easy to walk.

Story
It’s Sugar here and about time for a foster update! Are you looking for a snuggle buddy? Then I’m your girl! I love to snuggle and give kisses. I’m potty trained and can proudly say I’ve never had an accident inside! Did you hear that -NEVER! I’m also crate trained, but I’d really love to sleep in the bed with you or on you. Who doesn’t like a good human pillow?!My ideal day would consist of snuggling with my humans, going for a walk, a nice long nap, playing with my squeaky toys, and getting lots of treats (I’m a foodie). Older dog savvy kids would be better for me as I can sometimes get too excited when playing, especially with my meatball figure. I do best with slow introductions to new people, but if they give me treats (especially peanut butter & bananas) oh boy, you’re my new BFF. No cats for me. I think they’re for chasing and foster mom says I shouldn’t do that.  Email my foster mom at megansfosterdogs@gmail.com if you need some extra Sugar in your life! She’s short. She’s built like a picnic basket. She knows how to two-step. Her name is Sugar. “Well, my dad was a meatball and my mom was a cowgirl,” Sugar explained. “I had identity issues for a while, as you can imagine, but then I realized that it’s okay to be different. We’re all different, and we’re all worthy of love.” However, other dogs aren’t sure what to make of her meatball and cowgirl heritage. “They look at me weird, so then I look at them weird, and it’s a whole thing,” Sugar told us, sighing. “I think it would be best for everyone if I just went to a home with people and no dogs. I also don’t want to go to a dog park because they’ll start calling me Yeehaw Marinara, and again, it’s a whole thing.” “Due to my meatball genetics, I literally have to have a snack every 30 seconds to keep my blood sugar from dropping too low, so that’s why my name is Sugar,” Sugar said. (Our vets told us that this is absolutely not true, so please do not be fooled.) She first came to our shelter on Jan. 23, 2023.

Story
My name is Panther and I`m a handsome young boy looking for my forever home. I`m affectionate and love giving kisses to my human friends. You will often find me running around in the shelter yard during my outing, playing fetch and dipping in the kiddie pool. I enjoy going on walks but I can be a bit of a puller and will do better after getting some energy out from play time. If you prefer to sit and read a book or catch up on your emails, I will lay by your feet and chew on my Benebone, preferably if dipped in some peanut butter. Panther has participated in shelter playgroups with males and females and has shared his kennel with several dogs in the past.  But many dogs won`t appreciate his rough and rowdy play style.  If you have a dog who needs a friend, bring it to the shelter for a meet and greet. Come by and meet him soon, and for now, you can check him out in shelter playgroups videos below:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm.
