Story
**Big Tank is currently in boarding (through no fault of his own) and needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible! All Better World Rescue intake is closed until we can get Big Tank out of boarding** Meet Tank, a short, squishy-faced senior bulldog mix with a heart as big as his adorable blocky head. He’s a low-energy sweetheart who loves nothing more than curling up on the couch, taking naps, and soaking up all the affection he can get. Tank adores people—every single one of them—and he does the cutest little tippy tappies when he sees you have treats. He’s also wonderful with kids and would make a loving, gentle companion for a family. Tank prefers not to share his space with large dogs, though he may do well with small dogs after a slow introduction, and he may also be okay with dog-savvy cats. He rides calmly in the car and is about as easygoing as they come. He has been let down more times than any dog should endure. Tank was first placed on the euthanasia list at Manteca Shelter, then adopted, then rehomed, and eventually ended up at Stanislaus Shelter, where he again faced euthanasia. He went to a foster home but recently lost that placement through no fault of his own due to landlord issues, and he is now in boarding. Through every setback, Tank has remained gentle, loving, and hopeful. He’s ready for a calm, caring home where he can finally enjoy the stability and love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal couch buddy and a sweet senior who will make your home warmer just by being in it, Tank is ready to meet you. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. Tank is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you would like to meet Tank to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet & greet. If you are interested in fostering Tank, please fill out this application instead: www.betterworldrescue.org/foster-application

Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi!! My name is Koa! ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I am a very sweet boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I am around 10 to 11 years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a pit bull mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am 50 pounds of muscle. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a tan little muscular boy with a big smile and an even bigger heart. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my food and treats as well. I have discovered that I enjoy fruit as well like bananas, blueberries and apples. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a pretty chill little man that loves his chew toys. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day starts with grabbing my favorite toy and heading outside to do a little sniffing around. Then I take care of business and head back in the house to get breakfast. I usually like to fall back to sleep while chewing on my favorite toy. I nap most of the day, potty, eat, play…the simple things in life make me happy! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love all toys that I can chomp down on, but I do have a pink rubber ball that is my favorite. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I have learned how to sit and I have discovered that I get treats when I do it. So, I sit even before I am asked to now. WHAT SCARES YOU? Loud noises like vacuums and fireworks scare me. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I do like children, but I don’t like to share my toys, so no children under 13 please. DO YOU LIKE CATS? No cats please. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I have been through a lot in my past, so I would like to get all of the attention. No other doggies please. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I would like to be anywhere where I get lots of love and treats. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am a healthy boy. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I currently live with my foster mom. Her boyfriend comes over frequently and I love to lay on his lap. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my crate. It is my safe, cozy space and I can relax and just be chill in there. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I like walking on my leash. I like to carry my pink ball with me as I walk on my leash. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? I do like to steal brooms and chew them up, so brooms should be out of my sight. I also like to bark when playing with my pink toy outside. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? Heck yeah! I am all good with the potty stuff… no worries there! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I run to the bathroom for bath/shower time! Swimming? I am not built for water sports, so let’s make it a team effort to keep me safe from pools and other large bodies of water, okay? WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I have learned that people aren’t so bad. I get lots of cuddles and treats! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I had a not so good life before coming to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue. I was brought in after being shot in the head and arm. (Yikes, right? Scary!) But I am so lucky that NorCal Bully Breed Rescue took me in and nursed me back to health. I have put all that behind me now and I am doing great! I am looking for my forever home that can give me lots of love! Maybe you are looking for a chill guy who just wants to be loved and have a few toys to play with? I promise to love you for the rest of my life and give you lots of cuddles and kisses! ***KOA’s ADOPTION FEE IS $100** If you are interested in Koa please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For more information on where we adopt to and what that means and why that is, please click on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/333019703483910/posts/3264412130344638/?extid=0&d=n Thank you so much in advance for understanding!!

Courtesy Post – Rehoming Needed This dog is not at the shelter. Meet Sherman – a mellow and loving 4-year-old male English Bulldog (brindle). &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Spayed/Neutered: Yes &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Vaccines: Not current &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Potty trained: Yes &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Crate trained: No Sherman has been with his family since he was a puppy. Unfortunately, due to his owner’s limited ability to provide the care he needs, Sherman is now in need of a new home. Sherman is a gentle, friendly companion who loves children and enjoys attention from people. He is typically very easygoing and affectionate. Recently, he has shown some medical concerns, including an eye infection, ear discomfort, and fatigue, and he has an upcoming vet appointment to address these issues. His new family will need to provide him with ongoing veterinary care and daily support to ensure his comfort and health. Like most Bulldogs, Sherman enjoys naps, treats, and being near his people. He is food-motivated, sometimes playful with toys, and would do best in a calm, loving home where his care needs can be met. If you are interested in adopting Sherman, please contact his owner, Paul, directly: Phone: (530) 852-1275 Email: paulardenjr@gmail.com All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Story
Meet Truffle Shuffle! Who could resist this little butterball?? Truffle is a 6-year-old bulldog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s full of character—your classic bulldog girl through and through. At first, Truffle can be timid and a little skittish with new people, but with a bit of patience, she warms up quickly. Once you’re in her circle, she’ll want nothing more than to be by your side and soak up all the love and pets you can give. (Boundaries? She’s not too familiar with that word! ?) Truffle does well with most dogs, especially calmer males, but she likes to be the queen of the house. Slow intros are the way to go to make sure she acclimates smoothly to a new environment and with other dogs. Good with cats too! She is not a good fit for homes with small children. When Truffles was first rescued from the shelter, she was in rough shape—painful ear infections, bad skin, eye infections, and struggling to breathe. She’s had two major airway surgeries (common in flat-faced breeds like bulldogs), along with her spay, and is now feeling so much better. Truffles is also slowly going blind and will require lifelong eye medication to keep her comfortable. It’s important to know that bulldogs and other brachycephalic dogs need extra care, especially in the heat. They are not outdoor dogs, and families must be aware of the lifelong commitment their health can require. Want to meet Truffles? Please fill out an adoption application! She is currently being fostered in Dixon, CA

Story
Meet Studley — the name says it all! 😎 This 5-year-old, 45lb hunk of bulldog charm is all about good vibes, comfy couches, and living life at his own pace. With his stunning rust-colored coat and serious model face, Studley turns heads wherever he goes — and he knows it. He’s a professional couch potato who enjoys the occasional stuffed toy snack (purely for fun, of course). Crates? Not his jam. He’s a certified escape artist, but don’t worry — when he breaks free, he’s not out to destroy your house… just to remind you he’s smarter than the average dog 😏 Studley’s still working on his house-training skills and loves sprinting around like he’s in a tiny-legged marathon. He’s got the zoomies, the charm, and the heart of gold to match. He does prefer to be your one and only — no other pets needed when you’ve got this much love in one dog! 💖 📍 Currently in San Jose, CA 🏡 Studley is looking for a foster or adopter who can give him a comfy couch, some love, and a chance to shine. Ready to meet your snuggly, goofy, rust-colored dreamboat? Studley’s waiting to sweep you off your feet!

Story
Animated Zoey would like to work her way into your heart! She is a charming 2-year-old, 20-pound, French Bulldog. She is a compact beauty and has a very sweet face that will melt your heart!. Zoey loves people and enjoys exploring the outdoors—whether it’s a neighborhood walk or a new trail in the wilderness on a cool day. She is very independent and will be great as an only dog. She seems to be housebroken and is using the Doggie Door making her a great, low-maintenance companion. So if you have breed experience and are ready to give a special girl a second chance. French Bulldogs like other brachycephalic dogs (Flat faced dogs) have an increased risk of heat-related illness (such as heat stress and heat stroke), which can have life threatening consequences. Shorter walks at the coolest part of day are needed. Zoey is scheduled to be spayed, is microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! If you’re looking for a loving and adventurous furry friend, Zoey might just be the perfect match! If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5.
