MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsDoggy Daycare Pro!Faith - our 'Faithy' :-)   Faith is a beautiful, petite, joyful, blonde and caramel pittie mix. At just around 40lbs, she is the perfect medium size girl. She LOVES and ADORES other dogs and needs her best doggy friends at all times. Her best friends are currently Krissy & Tobie, but Faith is a doggy daycare regular and might be the most popular girl in school. She plays with 50+ dogs at doggy daycare, loves to go in the kiddie pools and splash around, but can also just chill and relax in the shade.   At home, Faith loves everything cozy - blankets, cuddling, sleeping in bed with her humans, giving kisses and a good movie night on the couch. However, as soon as daylight hits, she's ready to run around in the fenced backyard with her friends. She is nervous around most men and takes time to warm up to them, but will come around. She will bark at them at first, but is easily persuaded with treats. She loves women.   In Faith's ideal home, she needs another playful, happy dog (or dogs), someone home often and a secure 6' fenced yard. She has been around all sizes and breeds of dogs and does well with all of them. She can be nervous at times, so a home without young children or young children that visit, is best for her so that they don't let her out.   Faith is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. Her adoption fee is $250.   Adoption applications for Faith can be done at maxxandme.org. Please follow up with one email to maxxandmerescue@gmail.com to confirm receipt of your application.   Maxx & Me is an all volunteer, all foster home rescue and do not have a shelter. Please allow at least 48 hours for applications to be processed (missing information may slow the process, so please take your time and be thoughtful in your answers). All dogs posted are available (so no need to ask). We place dogs based on best home for each dog and not order of applications received. Email us at maxxandmerescue@gmail.com for updates and questions. Thank you for choosing rescue.November 3, 2024, 8:21 pm

Story
Kendall is an eneretic, 5-year-old Pittie mix. She is treat obsessed and smart. Kendall has learned basic commands and walks well on a leash. She loves to play and be near people, even after all she's been through. Kendall was neglected and abused, but she's a survivor. She was hit by a car and has mild fecal incontinence but still goes to the door when she needs to go outside. She does have accidents overnight, but high fiber food and scheduled feeding have helped immensely. Kendall loves people, but prefer people to introduce themselves slowly - quick motions sometimes cause her to cower and run away. After she gets a few sniffs in, she'll roll over and show you her belly - belly rubs are her favorite. Kendall is very friendly on walks and plays well with other dogs, but resource guarding  makes her a better fit for a single dog family home. Kendall is an absolute sweetheart who deserves a loving home all her own.Kendall's adoption fee is $75. She is spayed and up to date on shots. To meet Kendall fill out an adoption application at www.pawprinthearts.com.Please NOTE: Kendall is a courtesy post. PPH cannot confirm the demeanor or health of Kendall.December 13, 2025, 12:52 am

Story
Mrs. Maisel is an energetic sweetheart that aims to please, always willing to sit for head pats or roll over for belly rubs! She is around 4 years old and was found running in morning traffic in Baton Rouge, LA. After not finding her owners, Maisel moved to Tampa with her foster family in search of a new home. Maisel is very playful and loves bouncing around the yard, playing fetch and chewing on her favorite toys. She loves sleeping in her kennel and is house trained. She gets along with dogs her size but due to her large size and energetic nature she not recommended for families with small children or pets. Maisel would be best suited for a family with older kids and larger dogs. Maisel requires a fenced in yard and a comfy couch. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, chipped, and heartworm negative.

Story
Meet a charming, 4-year-old blend of Chihuahua spunk and Pitbull affection! I am a truly loving and devoted dog with a huge heart. I am smart, ready to learn, and promise years of unconditional love. My main challenge is "reactive enthusiasm." I get incredibly excited when meeting new people or starting walks, which leads to jumping and pulling. While I can look intimidating, my foster confirms this stems from high anxiety and a lack of training, not aggression. I just need the right routine! In fact, I have never attacked another dog or cat. My current foster loves me dearly but can no longer safely manage my strength due to a physical disability. I need a special home with an adopter who has experience with reactive dogs and is physically capable of managing my leash pulling. If you have the patience to guide me, I will be your most loyal companion. I am fixed, most loyal, and waiting for my forever hero!

Story
Ms. Bowser’s owner is sadly nearing the end of her life due to cancer, and we are desperately hoping to find Ms. Bowser a loving home where she can live out her golden years. She needs to be the only pet in the home. She was previously attacked by another dog and has understandably been reactive since. She can also be a bit wary of men at first due to past abuse. She previously lived peacefully with a cat, but she’s not doing well with my cats. Ms. Bowser loves her stuffed animals, and classical music helps keep her calm and comfortable. She has truly become my shadow, and I truly wish I could keep her but it’s not fair to my cats. The thought of her going to a shelter breaks my heart. If you or someone you know could give this sweet girl a safe, loving home, please reach out. ❤️

Story
Loretta is a 4-year-old staffy mix looking for her forever home. Her playgroup style at the shelter was described as gentle/dainty, and her foster believes she would do best with submissive dogs. She does love to play and absolutely loves to cuddle with her foster parents She does have skin issues, which is common in bully breeds. She will likely need to be on oral allergy medicine for life. She aims to please and knows tricks like "sit" and "kisses." Due to Loretta's size, we do not recommend a home with small children. She has not been tested with cats, but her foster family believes she would do best in a home with no cats. She is crate-trained and house-trained, and her foster family is able to leave her in their guest room and she isn't destructive. Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

She came from the humaine society, so we believe she is at least 2-4 years old. Looking for a loving family that loves dogs! She is very very sweet, non aggressive, good mannered and very well behaved! Very obedient! She LOVES being outside and chasing the squirrels and lizards. She will stare up at a tree for hours if she knows there’s a squirrel in it, haha! She did go a little crazy over the cat so we don’t think she likes them. Other than that she is great at keeping you company and she will melt you with those big brown eyes. Unfortunately we cannot keep her and don’t want to take her back to the humane society. She also just had puppies recently when she came to us in August. We are definitely sad to let her go but hopefully she will have a new loving family that loves her as much as we do! I think she will definitely capture you heart!!
