Meet Sweet Mama Moosh! For years, Sweet Mama Moosh has known what it means to survive—but not what it feels like to truly belong. This beautiful 4-5 year old girl spent her life on the streets, where neighbors watched her lovingly raise at least two litters of puppies. While she made sure her babies were safe, no one was there to make sure she was. She endured hunger, uncertainty, and even an injured paw, yet somehow never lost her gentle, loving heart. When we trapped her, the plan was simply to spay her and return her to the streets. But after spending time with her, we knew we couldn't do it. Sweet Mama Moosh is far too affectionate, trusting, and deserving of love to spend another day wondering where she'll sleep or if she'll have enough to eat. She has fought to survive long enough. Now it's her turn to be cared for. Today, her paw has completely healed, and she has blossomed into a happy, healthy, beautiful girl who is finally ready for the life she's always deserved. She is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is now spayed, vaccinated, up to date on preventatives, potty trained and crate trained! Such an amazing girl!! She adores gentle pets, leisurely walks, and never says no to a tasty snack. 🥹 She has lived alongside other dogs on the streets. I love going on walks (I’m great on leash and don’t pull!) and then coming home to relax and snuggle. Meet Little John 🐻 aka LJ ADOPTER NEEDED ❤️🐾☀️ Tampa, FL LJ was found as a stray with a missing paw and taken to a rural Ga shelter. That’s all we knew… he was a black dog, with a medical ailment that would make him undesirable to the public and he was sitting at a shelter that’s severely overrun with need. LJ was definitely up against it… On a wing and a prayer, we committed to him. We didn’t have a spot for him. We didn’t know what else Little John would need but we did know his leg would need attention and we wanted to give him that. His sweet face just killed us…we hoped during that month that we saw his picture at the shelter someone would come to save him, but that someone never did so Maxx & Me stepped up. When LJ arrived, it was immediately obvious there is a laundry list of medical problems he is dealing with. He’s severely emaciated. His bones stick out such that it seems they will rip through right through his skin. His testicles are extremely infected – red, inflamed, with open sores. His leg was definitely NOT a congenital defect. His injury was some traumatic amputation, the origin is unknown. His leg still bears the ringed scars of entanglement. He bears old scars all over his body, evidence of a life lived unloved and scrounging for survival. And yet… Little John is as lovely as the character for which he’s named. He’s sweet. He’s starving… He’s friendly with both cats AND little dogs. He’s friendly with dogs his size and good with cats as he stayed temporarily with two small dogs and 6 cats. He loves people and craves touch but he’s cautious when meeting new humans – unsure if they’re there to hurt him or help him…he wagged his tail so much that he had “happy tail” where they whack it against the steel metal bars in the shelter because they are so happy to see you it bleeds. It has since healed❤️ For a dog to be in that situation and still exude joy, simply shows the resilience of little John. He is gaining weight and is a strong boy. We are still working with veterinarians to determine if his back leg is a hindrance or help and will determine amputation or not, but he will be ok no matter what! She also enjoys playing with other dogs and making new friends. Nena was abandoned at my house by a former friend. She’s a full blood pit, super sweet and loving, very protective as well she makes a perfect house protector. We are in Tampa, Town and Country Area. I’ve been to every shelter none can take her because of the breed and the pit rescue has a virus everytime I try they can’t take her. I cannot keep her longer than a week. She is not fixed, she’s 2 years old. 8 1 3 3 6 9 2 2 4 3 she needs someone to love her and cherish her and in return she will protect you and love you and her little silly side is adorable she wiggles her tail when you scratch her back and she rolls around when it’s time to play.. she loves defeating every toy she’s met and will hours. I’ve just moved into a restricted area and they've given me one week to get rid of her because a neighbor saw her and complained about the breed. I never had plans to keep her I’ve just been trying to find her a home but now I am on a time crunch and she has to be gone in a week.
