PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING! 💕 Hi, I’m Lonnie 🐾💕 I’m a 5-month-old Boxer puppy with a big personality, tons of energy, and a whole lot of love to give! I’m playful, smart, energetic, and always ready for the next adventure. I love being near my people, so if you walk out of the room, don’t be surprised if I happily follow right behind you! 🥰 I’m house trained and crate trained, and I already know some commands. I’m doing great in my crate and can settle down nicely at bedtime. I’ll happily go to sleep when you do and can sleep through the night for up to 8 hours. I’m still working on potty training, but I understand that potty happens outside—I’m just learning how to let my humans know when I need to go. I’m a VERY energetic puppy and definitely need a family who can keep up with me! I get the zoomies and love to run and play, so a securely fenced backyard would be wonderful for me. I also enjoy playing with other dogs and would love a playful doggy sibling who can help me burn off some of that puppy energy. 🐾 Like many puppies, I’m still learning how to play politely. When I get really excited, I can be a little mouthy during play, but I’m improving and learning that gentle play is much more fun. I’ll need a family who is patient, consistent, and willing to keep working with me every day. I do well with big dogs and older cats, and because of my energy and enthusiastic play style, I’d do best with older children who can handle my puppy antics. My foster says I’m a sweet girl who just wants to love. I may not always show my cuddly side right away, but when I’m calm and sleepy, all I want is to snuggle up next to you. ❤️ Adoption FEE: $650 which includes her spay, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. A Mercy Full Project (MFP) Adoption Application MUST BE COMPLETED in order for you to be considered as a potential adopter. By filling out the MFP Adoption Application you agree and understand that ADOPTION IS NOT GUARANTEED. We are not first come, first served and submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption. You will be contacted by an Adoption Coordinator once your application has gone through the approval process. Please ONLY APPLY IF you are ready to commit to adoption. TO ADOPT, APPLY ONLINE: www.mercyfullprojects.org PLEASE NOTE: We do our best to supply all known information about each animal in their profile. Story
Meet Little John 🐻 aka LJ ADOPTER NEEDED ❤️🐾☀️ Tampa, FL LJ was found as a stray with a missing paw and taken to a rural Ga shelter. That’s all we knew… he was a black dog, with a medical ailment that would make him undesirable to the public and he was sitting at a shelter that’s severely overrun with need. LJ was definitely up against it… On a wing and a prayer, we committed to him. We didn’t have a spot for him. We didn’t know what else Little John would need but we did know his leg would need attention and we wanted to give him that. His sweet face just killed us…we hoped during that month that we saw his picture at the shelter someone would come to save him, but that someone never did so Maxx & Me stepped up. When LJ arrived, it was immediately obvious there is a laundry list of medical problems he is dealing with. He’s severely emaciated. His bones stick out such that it seems they will rip through right through his skin. His testicles are extremely infected – red, inflamed, with open sores. His leg was definitely NOT a congenital defect. His injury was some traumatic amputation, the origin is unknown. His leg still bears the ringed scars of entanglement. He bears old scars all over his body, evidence of a life lived unloved and scrounging for survival. And yet… Little John is as lovely as the character for which he’s named. He’s sweet. He’s starving… He’s friendly with both cats AND little dogs. He’s friendly with dogs his size and good with cats as he stayed temporarily with two small dogs and 6 cats. He loves people and craves touch but he’s cautious when meeting new humans – unsure if they’re there to hurt him or help him…he wagged his tail so much that he had “happy tail” where they whack it against the steel metal bars in the shelter because they are so happy to see you it bleeds. It has since healed❤️ For a dog to be in that situation and still exude joy, simply shows the resilience of little John. He is gaining weight and is a strong boy. We are still working with veterinarians to determine if his back leg is a hindrance or help and will determine amputation or not, but he will be ok no matter what! We desperately need a foster and adopter for his gentle boy☀️🐾❤️ Apps @maxxandme.org Adoption fee is $300 If you can help us with LJ’s needs please help us provide Little John with all he will need to get healthy and start to feel better. Donations to his care can be made via www.maxxandme.org/donate Cash App $maxxandmepetrescue www.paypal.me/maxxandme Venmo@maxxandmepetrescue Checks mailed to 12191 W Linebaugh Ave #554 Tampa, FL 33626 We love this precious boy so much already. Story
Angelina, lovingly called Beanie, is a threeyearold sweetheart with a quirky charm and the gentlest soul. She had a brain injury as a puppy, and while she does take daily medication, her seizures are well managed with a calm, predictable routine. Once she feels safe, her playful personality shines: she’ll toss toys in the air, zoom around for a moment, and then curl up for quiet cuddles. Beanie is foodmotivated, which makes building trust and reinforcing routines easier. She gets along well with other dogs and with children, but she truly thrives in a peaceful home, ideally with one or two calm canine friends rather than a busy household. She enjoys car rides and exploring new places at her own pace. She would do best with someone who is home often and can offer stability, patience, and steady affection. Beanie bonds deeply with her people and simply wants to feel understood and secure. She is a sensitive, loving dog with so much character and for the right person, she will be an incredibly meaningful companion.  She is a loving dog with a lot of character, and for the right person, the relationship with her will be very meaningful. She is ready for a home that can appreciate who she is and love her just as she is. ##1661209##

Story
Contact: Alisa8/21/2026 - Pablo is a sweet, gentle, affectionate boy whose perfect day is pretty simple: relaxing inside, curling up on the couch, and staying close to his people. He absolutely loves attention and will happily snuggle up beside you for as long as you let him. One of the cutest things about him is how much he smiles when he is getting pets, and when he gets really excited, he curls his whole body into what we have started calling his little “cheese curl.” Pablo is deaf, so he relies heavily on visual cues and being able to see where his people are. He loves sleeping in bed, lounging on the couch, following his people around the house, and generally being wherever you are. He is much more comfortable at home than out in the world right now. He is not currently a farmers market, brewery, or long-walk kind of dog. In unfamiliar outdoor environments, he can be hesitant and may stop, look around, or decide he would rather head back home. He needs someone patient who will let him build confidence at his own pace. He has done well using a fenced backyard for potty breaks and is happiest when his person comes outside with him. A quieter home with a fenced yard would probably suit him better than a busy downtown environment. When Pablo gets nervous, his response is to freeze, hesitate, or retreat rather than act aggressively. He has been incredibly gentle with people and really seems to come alive once he feels safe and knows he can settle in for some attention. As far as we can tell, he has not had much formal training and does not yet seem to know basic cues such as sit, stay, come, or look at me. Because he is deaf, he will need someone willing to patiently teach him a consistent set of hand signals. He would also benefit from continued work on confidence, being comfortable alone, and crate training. He is not especially food- or toy-motivated, although frozen dog ice cream and meatballs have definitely won him over. More than anything, his favorite reward seems to be being close to his people and getting affection. Because Pablo previously had a negative experience with other dogs, we believe a single-dog home would likely be the best fit for him. His history with cats is unknown. Pablo really is a loving homebody. He does not need an adventurous lifestyle. He needs a quiet, patient home, a comfortable couch, a safe yard, and someone who wants a very affectionate companion. If your perfect dog is a smiling little shadow who would rather spend Saturday morning curled up next to you than at the farmers market, Pablo may be your guy. ❤️ 7/30/2026 - Pablo is under our mandatory evaluation period, and is not available for adoption at this time. The foster home will have the opportunity to adopt once the evaluation period is complete.  If you would like to be a back-up applicant for Pablo, please complete an application at:   http://flbr.org/application-form/.  Please also take a look at his available boxer friends as we get to know him better. September 5, 2026, 2:52 pm

Story
Hi, I’m Zoey! 🐾 My name is Zoey, and I’ll be 6 years old on September 10. I may be a pit bull, but if you ask anyone who knows me, they’ll tell you I’m really just a giant cuddle bug wrapped in a wiggly body. My favorite things in the world are being with my people, going on walks, taking naps near you (or preferably on you), getting belly rubs, and reminding you that you’re never alone. If you’re sitting down, I’ll probably find my way right beside you. I’m a well-mannered girl. I’m house-trained, walk nicely on a leash, don’t bark much, and I’ve never bitten anyone. I love kids of all ages and have spent my life being part of a family. I’ve been an only dog in my home, but I’ve also gotten along well with other pets when I’ve met them. I do have one little quirk—thunderstorms make me nervous. When the sky gets loud, I take medicine that helps me relax until it’s over.
