He loves going for walks, is excellent on a leash, and great traveling in a car. Someone with a backyard would be ideal. Marcus is a very smart, trainable dog. He knows sit, spin, paw, down, off, drop, high five, leave it and wait. He is used to being boarded. Marcus is not a cat lover, however, with slow introductions he can be with other dogs. Hank is a sweet, loyal pit mix weighing around 60 lbs. He’s a very laid-back, easygoing guy who loves walks, belly rubs, and spending time with his people. He’s especially fond of kids and truly enjoys being around people.Hank does great day to day. Occasionally, if he drinks a lot of water too quickly, he may have a little reflux, which is easily managed. He also has a mild, intermittent tracheal sensitivity that’s been evaluated by a vet. It rarely comes up, and when it did briefly flare last month, it resolved quickly with short-term medication. He’s feeling great and doing well.Hank enjoys being the center of attention and can get a little jealous when other animals are around, so he would do best as the only dog where he can soak up all the love.In addition, Hank did have an incident where he bit a smaller dog and snapped at a cat, reinforcing that he would thrive as an only pet.Hank's adoption fee is $50 and includes his neuter and first shots. Maisel is very playful and loves bouncing around the yard, playing fetch and chewing on her favorite toys. She loves sleeping in her kennel and is house trained. She gets along with dogs her size but due to her large size and energetic nature she not recommended for families with small children or pets. Maisel would be best suited for a family with older kids and larger dogs. Maisel requires a fenced in yard and a comfy couch. She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, chipped, and heartworm negative.
