Name: Harriet Age: 7 years Breed: Pit Bull Terrier mix Size: 52 pounds Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Sweet Harriet Harriet is a beautiful 7-year-old terrier mix with a heart as big as her smile. After spending many years being a devoted mama, she’s ready to retire and start a brand-new chapter, one filled with love, comfort, and a family of her very own. This affectionate girl walks wonderfully on a leash and is the perfect mix of goofy and cuddly. Like any lady with good taste, she looooves treats and attention, happily melting into your arms the moment you show her a little affection. Whether it’s a road trip adventure or a lazy movie night on the couch, Harriet is happiest just being by your side with her best friend. Harriet is heartworm positive due to not being on prevention in her former home. With proper treatment she can live out her day happy and healthy. This sweet mama deserves a happily ever after. Story
Name: Bruce Age: 5 years Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Size: 62.6 pounds Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Meet Bruce ,quite possibly the most wonderful terrier mix you’ll ever have the pleasure of knowing. He came into our care as a stray and this sweet guy was a little banged up and battered. Now after a little TLC this handsome boy is doing much better. Bruce is a sweet, gentle soul with a heart as big as his adorable personality. He’s a total ham in the best way soaking up attention, leaning in for love, and charming everyone he meets. Sunshine walks are his happy place, especially when they’re followed by plenty of outdoor lounging, belly rubs, and being spoiled with treats (his favorite!). This gentle teddy bear is looking for his best buddy ,someone to share adventures with during the day and cozy couch time in the evenings. Whether you’re exploring the world together or just relaxing side by side, Bruce is happiest simply being with his person. Through no fault of his own, Bruce found himself in a shelter after testing heartworm positive, as his former owner didn’t have him on prevention. With the proper treatment Bruce can live out his days happy and healthy. This gentle boy definitely deserves his happy ending. Bruce's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Story
Name: Butch Age: 7 years Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier Size: 54 pounds Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Butch...our Pitty with a big head but an even bigger heart. Butch recently found himself in our care as a stray after being picked up by animal control. This special boy has been in our care before when he was a bit younger. He did have a microchipped registered owner; however we have been unable to get ahold of them. So now he waits patiently for a new forever home, gazing out his kennel door with his big-ol puppy dog eyes. This handsome boy is 7 years old and loves to play with other dogs. He is all about people watching, and always very excited to meet new friends. He seems to be kennel trained and does know how to sit for treats (but only the best stinky treats, none of those milk bones). Butch is heartworm positive, but with the proper treatment he can live out the rest of his days happy and healthy. Are you a pitty lover? Ask about Butch today! Butch's $250 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN.
