Story
Name: Sueanne Age: 2 years Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Size: 39.4 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Sueanne is a gorgeous 2 year old Pit Bull Terrier with a sleek grey coat and an even sweeter heart. At just under 40 pounds, she’s the perfect medium size big enough to join in on adventures but small enough to curl up comfortably beside you. She’s still young, which means she has plenty of playful energy and curiosity, but Sueanne also has a gentle, affectionate side that shines through when she leans in for love. She’s the kind of dog who will wag her whole body when she sees you, reminding you every day how grateful she is to be by your side. Sueanne is ready for a family who will give her the guidance, care, and attention she deserves. In return, she promises loyalty, laughter, and a lifetime of love.

Story
Name: Kovu Age: 1 year Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Size: 56.3 Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Imagine someone coming to the shelter with two dogs they want to meet. They meet you first, and they love you! but they decide they like the color of the other dog better. Then someone else comes with a list of two dogs and they met you first and they said SHE IS THE SWEETEST DOG! but they picked the other one because of you are heartworm positive. So my shelter folks figured out a way to sponsor OVER HALF of my heartworm treatment so that the NEXT person will for sure pick me. And the next couple did come in and they both loved me and I loved their kids! But they decided to wait until the move is finished. It's crazy because everyone that meets me REALLY LIKES ME but there is always something that keeps them from taking me. I know I look like I've had puppies before - I can't help that - people bred me too much in my little life before I got to the shelter. I know I don't bark at my kennel door to get your attention - but that's a good thing! It means I am a more calm, sweet lady. I do like to have time outside to smell the roses but as soon as see you calling to me I will run over, do a little tippy tap dance, and jump up in the air so you can catch me like the baby I think I am. (It really is the cutest thing I do but I realize not every one can catch me) I walk well on a leash, I really try to wait to do my business outside, I love kids, I sit for a treat so pretty you won't believe it, and I have been patiently waiting for someone to see me even though I don't bark as loud as my roommates. Could you be the one I've been waiting so long for?

Story
Name: Linda Age: 2 years Breed: Pit Bull Terrier mix Size: 47.8 lbs Special Needs: Heartworm positive Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org "Listen Linda....You're the best dog ever!" Linda is a 2-year-old Pit/Terrier mix who recently came into our care as a stray. She did have an owner but sadly they did not come for her. Now she awaits YOU to be her family and give her a second chance at forever. She is the sweetest girl who adores everyone she has met, and loves to be cuddled. She is unique in her markings as her face looks just like the mask from Phantom of the Opera. Linda is up to date on vaccines, prevention, microchipped, dog friendly, and is already spayed. She is Heartworm Positive, but don't let that turn you away from such a sweet girl who deserves to live the rest of her life happy and healthy. Are you looking for an outgoing dog who will fit right into your family like a puzzle piece?
