Our team worked their wonders and had a fantastic foster step up to help him with his care. Now he can walk and run, just has a little wobble to his walk. Eddie loves other dogs and requires a home with one. He has a slightly enlarged heart and will be a special needs boy for life, however long that life may be. He loves people and going on walkies! Cats are a hard bargain with him. Some don`t bother him and some he likes to chase after. He absolutely adores kids! Walks well on leash. We do our very best in providing truthful information about our adoptable dogs. If you do not see information about one of our dogs’ personalities, it is because we do not know much about them yet. We do appreciate a dog meet and greet to see if the dogs are compatible, an appointment is helpful but not required. We can complete a cat introduction at the shelter in a safe manner to get a sense of the dog’s behavior towards cats. With that knowledge, we will provide a blanket statement that you are ultimately responsible for keeping your cat safe. We recommend crate training for all our dogs while they adjust to a new home environment. Please bring along your family to meet the dog you’re looking at to see that it is a good fit. Also bring landlord permission for adopting a dog which includes any breed or weight restrictions.

Espera is a lab/bully mix that more closely resembles a giraffe than a dog! She is taller than her pictures will lead you to believe. Espera came to us from a rescue, and we haven't had her long. Unfortunately, and through no fault of her own, after adopting her we were hit with serious health issues that involve travel. She was originally found as a stray in Minneapolis, where she was rescued and given a FHO surgery to help repair an injured leg. When we adopted her, she was still putting on weight and last weighed in at 65 lbs. We believe she is about 2 years old, although two separate veterinarians placed her between 1.5 and 2.5 years old. The reasons you WILL love her: - She is relatively calm indoors and loves to sleep near her humans - She listens very well - She will loving throw her head on you to get comfy - She is an angel on a leash - She gets sad when the children passing by don't pet her - She is good with car rides (every day!) - Great at fetch - Bully kisses

Lloyd is an older gentleman seeking a retirement home who wants a well-mannered guy who is past the puppy stages. He is estimated to be about 8 years old. He is the typical pittie who loves all people and does the happiest backend booty dance for butt scratches. Lloyd loves to go on walks, play with his toys and be around his human. Age: 8 years Breed: Pitbull/mix Weight: ~65lbs Kid-friendly: He's a big boy so we recommend older kiddos! Dogs: Yes, likes to go off and do his own thing though, sniff trees and walk around.
