Story
Location: Minneapolis, MN If you are looking for a pup with a lot of love and a lot of wiggles, Jillian is your girl. With big, beautiful amber eyes, Jillian’s personality easily shines through. While she is a huge sweetheart, she does need continued boundary work as she thinks the best way to let others know she loves them and wants to play is to get right up into their personal space! Fortunately, she is a little smarty pants and is picking up on cues and commands very quickly. Jillian is also continuing to improve with crate training even if she will default to a dramatic puppy flop before walking into the crate willingly. Her progress is best with the help of treats as bribes! We have learned that when crated, she does a lot better in a high-traffic area as she seems to relax when she is able to see what is going on around her. She does cry a bit when crated, but only because she has a serious case of FOMO, but appears to be calming more quickly as time goes on. While Jillian has not been left alone for long periods of time in the house, during the short bouts, she has done really well and usually is just lounging on the sofa. Jillian is primarily potty-trained but sometimes seems to “forget” she can’t just pee wherever is most convenient; with that being said, accidents are becoming more and more uncommon. She does very well with potty prompts and will wait for someone to accompany her when she needs to pee outside but doesn’t hesitate to explore once she is there. Since we are still gauging her overall reactiveness and recall, we always keep an eye on her in the backyard even though it is fenced in. Jillian has a lot of energy, is outgoing, and loves to play with both four-legged friends and humans. She does have a high prey-drive and would do best in a house that does not have any other pets aside from dogs. Jillian is also taking several walks a day to work on her leash skills and catching on really quickly - we are learning to “leave it”, “wait”, and “eyes” (when needing her attention); she tends to crowd and pull on the leash so we are also working on side by side walking and pressure commands with the leash. With patience and consistency, she will no doubt continue to improve. Most days, Jillian will be out playing in the backyard with her foster brother Meeka, a husky, taking walks through the neighborhood, playing with her squeak toys, getting all the pets, and curled up on the couch or dog bed taking a nap. In just a short amount of time, Jillian has learned both the verbal and nonverbal signals for “sit”, “wait”, “hands in”, and “lie down”. While we haven’t done tons of car rides, she seems very interested in hopping in whenever the car door is open. She is eager to learn and very treat-motivated! Jillian is a sweet, playful, and loyal pup who is looking for a loving, active family to grow with. If you are ready for a lively spirit, funny personality, and unconditional companionship - Jilly Bean will be a great fit! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Hi, my name is Laklyn and I am from Georgia! From her foster: This pretty little lady will warm your heart. She is a huge snuggler and loves lots of attention. She also is very goofy and a bit clumsy, but that just adds to her sweet and calm disposition. She LOVES to play with other dogs and has thrived at doggy daycare. She has separation anxiety in the crate and gets very anxious while in there, but is very well behaved when leaving her home alone with my other resident dog where she is free to roam the house. She knows how to sit, has good recall, and loves to chew on her toy bones or the occasional beef cheek roll. She is also a good walker and likes to walk in step with my resident dog. She is the sweetest dog and would love to be in a home with another dog (or two) and a yard to play in. From the Vet: Laklyn was evaluated at The BB Vet Center shortly after arrival, she has completed treatment for a mild eye infection. The main concern for her was we noted she has a tendency to stand on 3 legs instead of all 4. We took radiographs of the rear leg she holds up in the air and the veterinarian noted deformities/inflammation consistent with Panosteitis or "growing pains" commonly associated with the long bones in large breed dogs. She may hold up her leg from time to time, however she is regularly using the leg normally and is still a high energy happy girl!

Hi! My name is Sesame, and I am from Alabama! From the foster: Sesame is in a litter of 9 pups, 3 girls and 6 boys. He is a very sweet boy who will patiently wait for attention while all others are getting attention. He is gentle and sweet. He loves to play and cuddle up and fall asleep in your lap. He is kenneled trained for night time sleeping making it all night. He does “kennel up” to go into his kennel, sit and is also learning leave it and off. He is learning these commands with training treats. He will need a lot more reinforcement on these. His mom weighs 56lbs. Sesame is doing well on potty training. He is medium energy and very calm for a puppy. Many of the puppies in this litter are more on the calm side.

Story
Hi! My name is Poppy Seed, and I am from Alabama! From the foster: This little low riding girl is the sweetest and is gentle with all. She loves nothing more than being held and cuddled. With her short stubby legs, she looks like a bunny hopping around in the snow and bouncing around the house when she gets the zoomies. She is good with our 90 pound resident dog and has no fear of big or small animals. She has met babies and kids, and is very calm and gentle around them. She does not use those puppy teeth, yet, and she is potty trained on a good schedule- she has had zero accidents in our home- smart girl! She sleeps soundly through the night in her puppy pen, a full 8 hours! And she is quiet as well, which would make her a good candidate if you have shared walls. She makes a great copilot in the car riding along wherever you go. She loves playing with her toys, but she also is on the calmer side for a puppy, and would make a great companion to a calm household that likes to Netflix & Chill often!

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can say YES to fostering this animal! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi, my name is Marmalade. I am from Georgia. From her foster: Marmalade is a really sweet and loving dog. She loves naps, chewing on things & playing with her toys. She sleeps through the night in bed with her human. She’s just starting to come out of her shell and show her true self. She’s silly and very athletic! I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.
