Lloyd is an older gentleman seeking a retirement home who wants a well-mannered guy who is past the puppy stages. He is estimated to be about 8 years old. He is the typical pittie who loves all people and does the happiest backend booty dance for butt scratches. Lloyd loves to go on walks, play with his toys and be around his human. Age: 8 years Breed: Pitbull/mix  Weight: ~65lbs Kid-friendly: He's a big boy so we  recommend older kiddos! Dogs: Yes, likes to go off and do his own thing though, sniff trees and walk around. Cats: No, he does have prey drive. Crate trained: Yes!  Loves to sleep by his human family though. Potty trained: Yes Health concerns: He does require Thyroid medication daily. Current medications & estimated costs: ~$25 every 2 months Adoption fee: $275 As a rescue, we provide the care, procedures and testing that is available to us. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies and distemper) HW test and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.   Grey Face Rescue does not adopt outside of Minnesota for now. We apologize for the inconvenience.  We do not adopt animals to families whose current pets are not up-to-date on vaccinations or not altered. Story
Meet  King , a sweet and mellow 9-year-old Pitbull with a heart as big as his love for belly rubs, car rides, and—above all— food  (nothing gets him more excited!). Despite being blind, King navigates his world with impressive ease and confidence, even tackling stairs like a pro. He's fully potty trained, great with other dogs, adores older children, and has never shown food aggression—he’s just a gentle, snuggly soul. Though he's not a fan of crates, King is happiest lounging on the couch or snuggling up next to you, soaking in all the love. If you're looking for a calm, loving companion who will be your biggest fan (especially if treats are involved),  King is ready to rule your heart! Story
Say hello to Lola! She has lived with cats and acted playful, but with her high energy the cats were quite nervous around her. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Lola is a very excited, happy, energetic gal. She has a lot of jumpy energy that she is still working on. Lola has been crate trained and acts calm when in the crate. She is housetrained as well. She loves treats and playtime. Lola would love to have durable toys to chew on and keep them entertained. Patient and consistent training using treats is a good way to work on obedience cues. Ask a TCHS staff about training and suggestions for the perfect toy for your new friend from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Prepare to fall head over heels for Chase n' Tails, an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion who blossoms with love! We don't know his past, but this "land seal" has a heart full of love and is ready to be your shadow and co-pilot in all of life's adventures. Chase is the ultimate "Netflix and chill" partner, happy to curl up in a blanket beside you, his cute little grunts a sweet soundtrack to your evening. He's also your best sous chef, delighting in trying new dog-safe foods like blueberries, cucumbers, apples, and carrots with his big, soulful eyes. This silly boy is full of "parkour" energy and his tail never stops wagging on walks. He thrives on routine, enjoying hearty meals from his slow feeder, followed by walks and long, satisfying naps. Mornings are his peak energy time, full of playful affection and sweet, spontaneous kisses. He's getting along great with our resident adult female dog and is enjoying having a canine friend! Chase dreams of a home where he can be at your side, whether running errands, exploring new places, or simply snuggling on the couch (or in bed!). While he'll happily sleep in his crate, his true joy is being cuddled up next to his favorite people. He does great in his crate while we leave the house, making him a fantastic companion for those who need to pop out for a bit. He loves to chase and chew balls or stuffed toys, even if fetching isn't his main game. He enjoys a good tug-of-war, and while he sometimes gets a little possessive with a toy, he'll readily give it up when asked. Chase is gaining more confidence and getting more independent in the home. He loves to follow us around but is also comfortable finding his own space and napping (his favorite spot is under the bed, we are always “losing” him!). This very go-with-the-flow type of dude is always ready to do what you are doing; whether that’s getting outside for a long relaxing nature walk or binging America's Next Top Model on a gloomy weekend! And for a special nightly treat, he loves to hear “Baby Beluga” as a lullaby before bed each night – it's the perfect way to send him off to dreamland. Chase n' Tails is looking for a home with adults or other dogs (no cats, please!). He's a dog who feels like he's been waiting his whole life to give and receive the deepest love. If you're ready for a devoted, joyful companion who will melt into you with excitement, then Chase n' Tails is your perfect match!

Story
Looking for a sweet, affectionate companion? Meet Bobbi Jo! This lovely girl adores everyone and wants to be your best friend. With a heart of gold and no aggression ever seen, she's pure love. Bobbi Jo is incredibly food motivated, making training a breeze! Just watch for her adorable "dinner dance" when it's mealtime – her favorite part of the day! Her days are filled with window-watching, playing with her doggie pals (like Leo!), chewing on stuffies and bones, napping, and backyard visits. Some days include walks or yard play. Evenings bring happy jumps and snuggles. Bobbi Jo doesn't believe in personal space – she'll sit as close as she can, even in your lap, showering you with kisses if you let her! She loves playing with her toys and other dogs. Her only "quirk" is being a vocal watchdog when she hears door sounds. Ready for endless cuddles and a loyal friend? Bobbi Jo is waiting for you! Bobbi Jo is an unclaimed stray from a local impound.
