Hello! The name is Stan, or Stan "the Man" as everyone likes to call me! A good Samaritan saw me chasing after her car, asking for help, and took me in. I was pretty skinny and had cherry eye as well, but that didn't stop me from being the sweetest boy! I got to come to Leashes & Leads and play with a bunch of dogs! I get along with other friendly dogs and I LOVE to play. I have a lot of energy, as I'm still a young boy. Because of that, I could benefit from some training classes. Other than playing, my favorite thing to do is snuggle. I am very affectionate and love to lay with any human I am near! Everyone jokes that I have no boundaries. I'm crate trained and potty trained. I've had surgery for my cherry eye and now my eyes are doing great! They feel so much better. I've gained weight in foster care and feel good and healthy. While I've had a rough go of it, I still am an upbeat, happy guy. I really want a longterm, stable family. I'd love another doggy playmate, but I'd be happy with a lot of toys and a cuddle partner, too. Kita is a wonderful dog! She is 10/11 years old and we have had her for 8 years. She recently lost her companion dog to health issues. We have two children, a 15 year old and a 4 year old. She is great with them! Kita is laid back and very chill. She does get an occasional case of the zoomies. She loves walks, outdoor smells, cuddles, treats and a good game of fetch/tug. She can be vocal when meeting new people and dogs at home. She has never bit any humans or dogs. We are relocating to Hawaii on June 1st. With her being older, I worry about the move being too stressful on her (flying on an airplane, quarantine time away from us). We would like to find a good home for her to live out her golden years.

We have had Benelli since he was a puppy! He was our typical, energized pit! He grew up around an older pit mix (now 7 years old) & a tabby cat (now 6 years old). He is now about 3.5 years old. He is friendly to people & follows around our toddler. He loves cuddles & treats. Unfortunately, we have a behavioral issue where he does not like other dogs that come in front of our house & has gone after another dog. We are no longer able to keep him since this is the second similar incident. He has done great with our older dog and cat. But I think it’d be best he is the only dog in the home for safety as well as a fenced in yard. Over all, he loves pets & it breaks our heart to let him go. We are hoping to find him a loving home!!

He's now a long term resident who's been overlooked, which is a shame. Having been with us for so long, one of our volunteers was curious about his breed mix and decided to find out with a dog DNA test. He's a pit bull mix with about a quarter of German shepherd and his appearance does hint at these results. He's a big boy who's aged out of puppyhood, but is still a lot of fun and likes to play hard. Rowen loves people and would be a great walking/running companion. Rowen is fully vetted and his $125 adoption fee is sponsored. Rowen is doing really well with basic training but does forget his manners sometimes. He needs someone who is willing and able to provide him with the exercise he needs, along with consistent training and boundaries. He is strong and active. He's a happy and outgoing dog with a slight mischievous streak that is kinda endearing. Cats? Most likely a no for him. He's looking for an adult only home. Teens are fine. He will require regular exercise to keep him happy and well balanced. The woman had originally found him as a stray in a rural area. She was going to keep him as no owner was located. She decided that Rudy was just too energetic and strong for her to handle. He does have a slight impairment when it comes to his eyesight, perhaps due to an injury he sustained at one time or maybe a genetic thing. He has been vet checked and neutered and his fee is $125. Nothing slows Rudy down. He's a happy and rambunctious dude who literally bounces through life. He will need a lot of basic training and exercise. He keeps his kennel clean at the shelter. An adult only home would be best for Rudy (teens are okay). He is looking for a home with no other animals. A fenced yard would rock Rudy's world!
