You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Quest was surrendered to the shelter on 5/9/2025 due to rental restrictions. He is 4 years old and was a very loved dog who had lived in his home his whole life. His owners were forced to relocate and couldn't find an affordable place that would accept dogs like him. Quest is a mix of boxer, Doberman, and pit bull, and he is big and strong. He has been fully vetted and microchipped. His fee of $150 is fully sponsored. Quest did live with his canine sibling in his home and was fine. They grew up together. We do think that he'd be okay with a mellow female dog of similar size. No smaller animals. He would do best in an adult only home. Teens are okay.  Shelter life has been hard on our Quest and he has lost a significant amount of weight. We've had him completely vet checked and this weight loss is due to the stress of the shelter environment. He would make a very loving and loyal companion. He needs a home! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. Doug is in the house!This big, handsome boy is Doug. He came to PCHS when he was found as a stray and no one claim to claim him. While we do not know a lot about his back ground, we do know that he is super friendly, loves people, and has an exceptional enthusiasm for life! Doug is estimated to be a pitty/lab mix and roughly 2 years old. He does know some very basic commands such as sit, he will need some practice with his leash manners. He is a very strong boy and using a harness to walk him would be recommended. Doug is a smart boy and would likely learn more commands with some time and consistency. He would love a fenced in yard where he can run around and burn off some energy, however, we are not requiring it. Doug has not been dog or cat tested at this time. He may be too much for feline friends, but with proper introductions he may do okay with a canine companion. (Avery, Addison, Ariel, Alice, Anna, Anthony, Adam, Andrew, Archer, and Axel)The `A` puppies are a group of 10 pups (5 boys and 5 girls) who all have names starting with the letter A. They were named after their momma, Abigail. These 10 sweet babies found themselves on a euthanasia list when they were only a few weeks old. Thankfully, we were able to take them into our care with their momma where they have spent the last several weeks growing, learning, and getting vetted. Now that they are weaned, the pups are ready to find homes of their own!These pups are thought to be some sort of bulldog mix, but we do not know what their dad was. Their momma is only 45 pounds but it is thought that this group of pups will range between 45-55 pounds (give or take a little). Since they are still pups, they would be able to integrate into almost any household. They would likely enjoy having a canine or feline friend to play with in their new homes! This whole group of pups are social, fun, and loving. They seem to take after their moms disposition with their sweetness!
