Story
Kiefer is a stunning young Boxer with a heart full of love and so much to offer. He’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly loyal—your perfect sidekick for snuggles and companionship. Once he trusts you, he’ll stick by your side like a shadow and melt into your arms at every opportunity. He is potty trained, does fine with cats, and is thriving in structured environment. Kiefer is smart, sensitive, strong, sassy, and eager to bond deeply with his people. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved in return. Kiefer does need an experienced adopter or someone familiar with the boxer breed. He does resource guard food and other high value items. He does have some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who can be home more frequently than not. Kiefer does fine with children but often forgets his size so would do best with older kids. Apply at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $450 plus tax.

🍯 Meet Honey 🍯 Honey is equal parts Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Roo, & a bit of Eeyore too. The vibes: Pooh= Lovable, gentle, hungry. Food, honey or any food at all is the best thing ever. Tigger= Cheerful, bouncy, enthusiastic although sometimes a bit reckless Roo= Brave, playful, optimistic Eeyore= Good heart, low-key 💛 Honey is so lovable with her kisses, cuddles, and blocky head. Despite her home instability she stays optimistic and brave, loving and trusting everyone. Her cheer & enthusiasm sends her bouncing high when I get home from work. Playful moments are endless with her bestie, the resident Golden Retriever. When her playful adventures are complete she curls up for a low-key nap. Weaknesses= * prey-drive (she has an unhealthy obsession with backyard chickens in trying to jump their fence or barge through it, she sometimes makes a short sprint towards one of the cats but cuddles with them the next). * obedience (she shows little to no realization that I'm calling her unless I sit on the ground and makes kissy noises, but she does seem to understand "kennel up" for mealtime). * enthusiasm (her bounces can knock you over without realizing, she does the bully breed gargle of excitement when she sees other/new dogs especially if on leash and with paw/play somewhat obnoxiously). Strengths= * Gentle (seeing her with calm, gentle, little humans has literally brought me to tears). * Tolerant (other dogs, including the resident sassy Chihuahua, can get grumpy with her and she backs away calmly, without reacting). * Chill/go with the flow (outside she'll lounge in the sun, inside she'll lounge on the couch or in bed). * Cuteness × infinity. 📍Apply to adopt Honey today at campcompanion.org 💲Adoption fee $450 plus tax

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Quest was surrendered to the shelter on 5/9/2025 due to rental restrictions. He is 4 to 5 years old and was a very loved dog who had lived in his home his whole life. His owners were forced to relocate and couldn't find an affordable place that would accept dogs like him. Quest is a mix of boxer, Doberman, and pit bull, and he is big and strong. He has been fully vetted and microchipped. His fee of $150 is fully sponsored. Quest did live with his canine sibling in his home and was fine. They grew up together. We do think that he'd be okay with a mellow female dog of similar size. No smaller animals. He would do best in an adult only home. Teens are okay.  Shelter life has been hard on our Quest and he has lost a significant amount of weight. We've had him completely vet checked and this weight loss is due to the stress of the shelter environment. He would make a very loving and loyal companion. He needs a home! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 23, 2026, 1:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Boxer/Boston Mix | Senior | Professional Napper Dani is the ultimate comeback kid. She came to us after a really tough road—malnourished and recently a mom—but her spirit is completely untouched. She is a tiny, happy, independent soul who is just genuinely thrilled to be here. The Vibe Dani has the senior lifestyle down to a science. She still has plenty of "let’s go!" energy and playful zoomies, but she’s also a pro at taking long naps. She’s an absolute superstar in her kennel, too—totally chill overnight or while you’re away. The "Lunge-Nibble" Dani is a "full-contact" lover! Because she’s small and gets so excited to see her people, she tends to launch herself forward for what we call "lunge-nibbles." There’s zero bad intent behind it; she’s just a tiny ball of enthusiasm who doesn't quite have an "off" switch for her kisses. To keep everyone happy, she’d be best in a home without small children. Health Update When she first arrived, her eyes were very cloudy from her past, but they are clearing up beautifully now that she’s getting the nutrition she needs. She navigates the world with confidence and is ready for her next chapter. Dani’s Wishlist: A home with adults or older kids. Someone who loves a dog with a bit of an independent streak. A comfy couch for her frequent naps. Dani has been through so much and is officially ready for the pampered retirement she deserves. Could your home be her forever spot?Click here to watch a video of Daniela.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 13, 2026, 9:14 am

Story
Doug is in the house! This big, handsome boy is Doug. He came to PCHS when he was found as a stray and no one claim to claim him. While we do not know a lot about his back ground, we do know that he is super friendly, loves people, and has an exceptional enthusiasm for life! Doug is estimated to be a pitty/lab mix and roughly 2 years old. He does know some very basic commands such as sit, he will need some practice with his leash manners. He is a very strong boy and using a harness to walk him would be recommended. Doug is a smart boy and would likely learn more commands with some time and consistency. He would love a fenced in yard where he can run around and burn off some energy, however, we are not requiring it. Doug would do best with another dog who can match his play style, or being the center of your attention! He would do best in a home without cats. If Doug sounds like he could be a good fit for you, apply online today!*Kids 16 years of age or olderAdoption fee is $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
**Please note: Pip was recently diagnosed with IVDD. He has started treatment for his current flare and is responding well to the treatment. However, his adopters will need to understand that this is an ongoing, chronic issue that will need to be managed for the rest of his life. An adopter who is familiar with IVDD or has done plenty of research on it are heavily preferred.**Pip is a 4-year-old French Bulldog who came to us from a rescue partner. This little guy is as sweet as they come! Pip is fun, outgoing, and loves everyone he meets, including other dogs and people of all ages. He’s sure to keep his future family smiling with his goofy personality and adorable looks. French Bulldogs are a breed that can develop health issues as they age, so we encourage anyone interested in adopting him to do their research and be prepared for the potential care needs that can come with the breed. Pip is ready to find a loving home that will cherish him for the wonderful little guy he is.Adoption fee $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax
