Story
Kiefer is a stunning young Boxer with a heart full of love and so much to offer. He’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly loyal—your perfect sidekick for snuggles and companionship. Once he trusts you, he’ll stick by your side like a shadow and melt into your arms at every opportunity. He is potty trained, does fine with cats, and is thriving in structured environment. Kiefer is smart, sensitive, strong, sassy, and eager to bond deeply with his people. He’s the kind of dog who just wants to love and be loved in return. Kiefer does need an experienced adopter or someone familiar with the boxer breed. He does resource guard food and other high value items. He does have some separation anxiety and would do best with someone who can be home more frequently than not. Kiefer does fine with children but often forgets his size so would do best with older kids. Apply at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $450 plus tax.

Story
Meet Honey 🍯 — a 4.5-year-old Boxer/Bulldog mix weighing in at 54 pounds of pure sweetness and charm! Honey truly brings the best of both worlds. She enjoys getting outside for walks, exploring, and a little playtime, but she’s just as happy curling up inside to relax with her people afterward. She’s not overly hyper or demanding — just a wonderfully balanced girl who would fit beautifully into many different kinds of homes. Honey has that classic bully-breed personality people fall in love with: loyal, affectionate, goofy, and incredibly easy to adore. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to giant Great Danes. She’s also cat-friendly and has done well walking past chickens without issue. In fact, the only animal that seemed to concern her was an Emu — which honestly just makes her even more relatable. If you’re looking for a loving companion who’s equal parts fun and cuddle buddy, Honey may be your perfect match. Apply to adopt Honey today through Camp Companion. Her adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Quest was surrendered to the shelter on 5/9/2025 due to rental restrictions. He is 4 to 5 years old and was a very loved dog who had lived in his home his whole life. His owners were forced to relocate and couldn't find an affordable place that would accept dogs like him. Quest is a mix of boxer, Doberman, and pit bull, and he is big and strong. He has been fully vetted and microchipped. His fee of $150 is fully sponsored. Quest did live with his canine sibling in his home and was fine. They grew up together. We do think that he'd be okay with a mellow female dog of similar size. No smaller animals. He would do best in an adult only home. Teens are okay.  Shelter life has been hard on our Quest and he has lost a significant amount of weight. We've had him completely vet checked and this weight loss is due to the stress of the shelter environment. He would make a very loving and loyal companion. He needs a home! NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 31, 2026, 3:36 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Nanette came to us on 3/21/2026 after fulfilling the legal stray hold at the city pound. She is an approximately 2 to 3 year old pit bull type mix, possibly with boxer and/or other breeds. She did have some hair loss when she arrived, which we think was due to a prior flea issue (we treated her right away), but otherwise looks good. She has been vet checked, chipped, spayed, and her fee is $150. Nanette is a gem! She is a happy and loving girl who is fairly well mannered and appears to have had some basic training. She currently weighs around 55 pounds and is somewhat short and stocky. We do think Nanette would be okay with a well mannered male dog and kids over 5. We have no way of knowing how she would be with cats. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Boxer/Boston Mix | Senior | Professional Napper Dani is the ultimate comeback kid. She came to us after a really tough road—malnourished and recently a mom—but her spirit is completely untouched. She is a tiny, happy, independent soul who is just genuinely thrilled to be here. The Vibe Dani has the senior lifestyle down to a science. She still has plenty of "let’s go!" energy and playful zoomies, but she’s also a pro at taking long naps. She’s an absolute superstar in her kennel, too—totally chill overnight or while you’re away. The "Lunge-Nibble" Dani is a "full-contact" lover! Because she’s small and gets so excited to see her people, she tends to launch herself forward for what we call "lunge-nibbles." There’s zero bad intent behind it; she’s just a tiny ball of enthusiasm who doesn't quite have an "off" switch for her kisses. To keep everyone happy, she’d be best in a home without small children. Health Update When she first arrived, her eyes were very cloudy from her past, but they are clearing up beautifully now that she’s getting the nutrition she needs. She navigates the world with confidence and is ready for her next chapter. Dani’s Wishlist: A home with adults or older kids. Someone who loves a dog with a bit of an independent streak. A comfy couch for her frequent naps. Dani has been through so much and is officially ready for the pampered retirement she deserves. Could your home be her forever spot?Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2026, 12:22 pm

Story
Doug is in the house! This big, handsome boy is Doug. He came to PCHS when he was found as a stray and no one claim to claim him. While we do not know a lot about his back ground, we do know that he is super friendly, loves people, and has an exceptional enthusiasm for life! Doug is estimated to be a pitty/lab mix and roughly 2 years old. He does know some very basic commands such as sit, he will need some practice with his leash manners. He is a very strong boy and using a harness to walk him would be recommended. Doug is a smart boy and would likely learn more commands with some time and consistency. He would love a fenced in yard where he can run around and burn off some energy, however, we are not requiring it. Doug would do best with another dog who can match his play style, or being the center of your attention! He would do best in a home without cats. If Doug sounds like he could be a good fit for you, apply online today!*Kids 16 years of age or olderAdoption fee is $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Lola is a 4-year-old pittie who came to us from a rescue partner. She’s a short, beefy girl with the sweetest personality you could ask for. Lola loves to snuggle, and she’s always ready to give (and receive) plenty of kisses. She has the most expressive eyes and a gentle, well-mannered nature that makes her easy to love. Lola is more than ready to find her forever home where she can soak up all the affection she deserves. She would prefer to be the only pet and center of attention in her new home. adoption fee $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax
