Miller is currently housed at Rochester Animal Control- please apply online and PCHS staff will be in touch to set up an appointmemt to meet him! Meet Miller! He and his brother, Stephan, went on an unauthorized jaunt around town when they were picked up and taken in to Rochester Animal Control. Their owners were located, but ultimatly decided that they were unable to keep them any longer. They were released to Rochester Animal Control and now are on the look out for their forever homes! While these boys do get along, they don`t need to be adopted to the same home. Miller is larger than his brother, and is the more dominant of the two. Stephan and Miller have both lived with other dogs in tehpast, and have done well. Both are goofy and happy boys who would love to find active families to enjoy life with! Miller is around 2 years old and would benefit from getting some basic training to help hone in on his manners, and help him build his confidence. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Quest was surrendered to the shelter on 5/9/2025 due to rental restrictions. He is 4 years old and was a very loved dog who had lived in his home his whole life. His owners were forced to relocate and couldn't find an affordable place that would accept dogs like him. Quest is a mix of boxer, Doberman, and pit bull, and he is big and strong. He has been fully vetted and microchipped and his fee is $150. Quest did live with his canine sibling in his home and was fine. They grew up together. We do think that he'd prefer to be the only dog in a home right now. No smaller animals for this moose. He's looking for an adult only home. Teens are fine. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. Doug is in the house!This big, handsome boy is Doug. He came to PCHS when he was found as a stray and no one claim to claim him. While we do not know a lot about his back ground, we do know that he is super friendly, loves people, and has an exceptional enthusiasm for life! Doug is estimated to be a pitty/lab mix and roughly 2 years old. He does know some very basic commands such as sit, he will need some practice with his leash manners. He is a very strong boy and using a harness to walk him would be recommended. Doug is a smart boy and would likely learn more commands with some time and consistency. He would love a fenced in yard where he can run around and burn off some energy, however, we are not requiring it. Doug has not been dog or cat tested at this time. He may be too much for feline friends, but with proper introductions he may do okay with a canine companion. A kind Samaritan reached out on her behalf and we were able to get her to us here at PCHS.Shayna spent several weeks getting some much needed TLC.
