Hey, I'm Cheerio! I came to the shelter from a really neglectful situation. I was super skinny, tethered to a heavy chain, and kept outside. Luckily, I got rescued and made my way here to PCHS where they have taken good care of me. I have gained 20+ lbs and am much better! I am an absolute sweetheart and love people. I've had a rough start in life but I'm hoping a special someone will come along and see the good in me. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). Margo loves her humans and loves to snuggle. She is a very sweet girl who loves walks, sticks, food and laying out in the sun. She gets along great with our boy dog. After 4 years of being best friends and snuggle buddies with our other girl dog she got into a fight with her while my parents were dog sitting. Since then they have not seen each other. It is not something that we can risk happening again due to us expecting a child. Margo would be a fantastic pet for someone that wants a dog who is loyal and a dog who will love their humans with every ounce. She would do best in a house with no other dogs or a boy dog.
