I've just come back to the rescue after 4 and a half years in and am still settling in. My volunteer friends are spending lots of time with me, getting to know my unique personality and helping me feel safe and comfortable. I am currently in boarding as a foster home has not been found for me yet. What We Know So Far • I'm currently being evaluated by our vet to make sure I'm healthy. • I'm learning the daily routine and making new friends. • My volunteer buddies are starting to see what makes me happy. I'm excited to find my forever family and would love to tell you more about myself soon. Please check back for updates as my new friends learn more about me! I was surrendered back to the rescue due to death in the family and financial hardships and they decided it was best for the recue to take me back. I used to be Potatah when I came to them at first from the shelter in 2021. Now I go by Darla and my surrendering mom said: Darla is the sweetest girl and loves everyone. She likes to cuddle and lounge on the couch. She loves her belly scratches and she likes to chase birds and cats in the backyard so no cats in her new home. She also loves to sun bathe. She knows when it’s time to eat and will tell you when it’s dinner time. She has been raised with other dogs in the home, but can be food aggressive so a home with no other dogs or with a resource guarding savvy home to work on this skill.
