Story
I am currently looking for a home for my sons' two dogs, he has left to serve our country and unable to take them with him since he will be stationed on the sea for months. I cannot keep them for long since my landlord will not let me keep them. I am not too familiar with the puppy, but I can tell you the old is the sweetest dog ever, it is breaking my heart that he will not be part of the family anymore. He loves kids, cuddles, has never made messes in the house and hardly ever barks. He loves hikes and the river. I am def gonna miss him, but he needs a good home.

Story
Honey is a spirited pup with an incredible journey. Initially adopted at a young age, she faced the heartbreak of being abandoned by her first family. She braved the streets for eight long months before finally being rescued. But her journey didn't stop there. After her time on the streets, Honey was adopted once again, only to be returned because she didn't get along with one of the family dogs. Despite these challenges, Honey remains an energetic and resilient spirit. She's been spayed, is up-to-date on her shots, and is microchipped, all ready to embark on her journey to find her forever home. Honey may pull a bit on the leash, but with proper training, she could be an ideal companion for walking, running, or hiking. Her vivacious personality and boundless energy make her a wonderful match for an active family, and she's sure to bring joy and adventure into your life. It's important to note that Honey cannot be around small animals, and for larger dogs, a meet and greet would be necessary to ensure compatibility. Honey is eagerly awaiting the right family to provide her with the love and care she truly deserves.

Story
Meet Prince! At almost 4 years old, Prince's recent rescue from the tough streets is thanks to SNARL, providing him a second chance at finding his forever family. His life experiences have instilled resilience but also made him discerning about his inner circle. Despite his survival instincts, he's eager to open his heart to the right humans. Special Considerations: -Barrier aggressive -Resource guarding tendencies -May do best with a submissive female furry friend or as the only pet in the household Prospective adopters should be aware of Prince's tendencies, but with patience and understanding, he promises to be a loyal and loving companion. Prince is a total love bug and adores all humans. He craves love and gives it back with the sweetest, wettest kisses. Freshly neutered and overflowing with affection, Prince is ready to find his perfect match. Whether it's a forever home or a cozy foster spot, he's eager to share cuddles and affection with his new family.

Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. Adoption Fee $550   2 year old Coco Chanel had just given birth to the Fashion Litter when we met her at the shelter. We couldn’t let an overcrowded, loud environment test her fate, so we whisked her and her puppies to a foster home filled with love and warmth. Chanel did a great job raising her joyful bunch and now it’s time for her to find her forever home where she can be doted on and cherished for the icon she is.    From her foster family:   From the outset, Chanel was gentle and kind, allowing us to touch her babies and trusting that we were there to help her. She was thankful to be out of the shelter and after ensuring her babies were taken care of, she allowed herself to settle in.    This gal is the real deal – easy to have around, mild-mannered, housetrained, sleeps through the night, rides well in the car, and considerately co-exists with our “I-don’t-play-with-dogs” senior dog. She hasn’t yet met a cat.    The day’s routine consists of waking up about 7am and heading outside. We play and then have breakfast. Because she was nursing a young litter, the days were primarily spent at home, in and out of the yard (Chanel has 24/7 indoor/outdoor access). She enjoys her time outside, and will come find you in the house and lay next to you. She keeps great tabs on what the family and her puppies are doing. At night, she sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom. I’m sure she’d love to snuggle in bed.    To match her award-winning personality, Chanel’s got a beautiful brindle coat that her namesake is in awe of. Weighing 37 lbs, she could stand to gain a few (don’t tell her modeling agency). She is full-grown.    Chanel is extremely bright. She learned her name in one day, and seems to understand the general things I’m saying to her in a way that I haven’t seen with another dog before. She’s intuitive.    She lays under the kitchen table at mealtime and doesn’t beg for food. She enjoys people with polite introductions. She’s curious and observant. Such manners.   Chanel's been offered the full range of toys and there doesn't seem to be a favorite yet. This might be her first time having toys. She is very appreciative of all the love, shelter/warmth, dog beds, hugs and time spent with her. It breaks my heart thinking about what her life might’ve been like before. But we assured her, her future is bright!   Chanel has really blossomed in her time with us, and her adopters will be blessed with her even-keel sweetness. You can see her gentle soul as you gaze into her eyes. We’re excited for her to explore all the goodness that life has to offer.    Chanel would enjoy a kind, friendly dog sibling, or could be a solo. Adopters should have had a dog in the last five years.  Kids in the home should be over the age of 8.  April 26, 2024, 2:38 am

Story
Hazel was drop to me during the pandemic because the owner needed temporary help while moving out. The owner never came back and I decided to keep her. Hazel is a very sweet and protective dog. The issue is that she is extremely dominant to other dogs. She bullied constantly my pug at the beginning but now they get along . All other dogs she sees on the street are a problem for her. She becomes aggressive and will attack. She has nipped already two dogs in my apartment community. The last incident was to the HOA presidents Chihuahua. I love Hazel and she’s very happy for weeks at a time but changes as soon as she sees other dogs. I would not think of giving her away but I accept that I’ve been incapable to help her to overcome her aggressive behavior. Sometimes love isn’t enough. She would be fine in a home with no other small animals. She may be ok with bigger dogs. A firm but not cruel or abusive owner a must. I hope there’s somebody out there willing to enjoy my precious Hazel.

Sweet Girl, knows her commands, well behaved, she is trained. Needs a good home. We have had her for two years, looks like she has had a few litters, but she is now spayed. We walk her daily, she is great, but our house is small, we have no yard, and we have inside cats, and she barks at them and chases them, and it causes problems in the house, so for the sake of a peaceful house, we are rehoming her.(I think they could work it out, but we intervene because we are scared of the cats or dog getting hurt.) She has always been good with my kids which are 12, 14, and 16 years old.

My Sibling's dog not mine. Sibling moved in but we never had the space available to properly house this dog and it's becoming unhealthy for both of them. No behavioral issues, but he is still young and does possess a lot of energy. Obedient and loving, a good boy all around, but he needs a home with the space he needs to grow. Has his kennel, leash, and his rope toy he loves to play tug and fetch with Not trying to charge anyone honestly, just want to find a good home as he deserves
