Story
A1250870 King is a 3-year-old, 58-pound, neutered male, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He came in as a surrender due to the owner stating he was getting aggressive towards children (no details were given). King has lived with children but not with dogs or cats. He is reported to be housebroken and used to using a doggy door. He did go to the dog park. King is eager to get out of his kennel and pulls on the leash with excitement to be out. He seems interested in the other shelter dogs and a `meet and greet` is recommended if you have another dog at home. He is a good boy, friendly, and enjoys being with people, we have not seen any aggression with him here at the shelter, although we do suggest a home without small children due to his surrender reason.

Story
A1256421 Steven approximately 2-year-old, 59-pound, neutered male, American Pit Bull Terrier mix.He entered the shelter as a stray with a `service dog` harness. The owner was made aware he is here and has chosen not to reclaim. Steven has been neutered by our medical team.Despite the service dog vest, Steven does not display behavior of a true service dog. He does pull on the leash and will grab it while being walked. He does knows some commands such as `sit` and `down.”Steven loves his toys and to run in the exercise yard. He loves to play “tug.” He does great with other shelter dogs his size in our group play and a `meet and greet` is recommended if you have another dog at home.Steven can be quite boisterous when playing or being walked on a leash. Due to this behavior, it would most likely be best not to go to a home with small children. He is energetic and is hoping to find a home where he can be kept busy with walks, hikes, and jogs where he can burn off his energy. He needs an energetic family that can match his activity level. A tired dog is usually a happy dog.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
A1262985 Findie is a 1-year-old, 61-pound, spayed female, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She entered the shelter as a surrender due to owner`s not allowed to have her where they live. She was spayed by our off-site medical team. Findie is a bit overwhelmed at the shelter and unsure of all the new people around her. She wants to meet you but will shy away at the same time. However, when her kennel is opened, she will lay on her cot and slowly push her head toward you for petting. This beauty knows how to `sit`, `down`, and `stay` (briefly) on cue, she is treat motivated, and is relaxed on the leash. She pulls, initially, with excitement to be out and will approach people happily. She seems friendly toward other dogs and a `meet and greet` is recommended if you have another dog at home. Once settled into a quiet home environment, she will be a wonderful and loyal companion.

She has done great in our large dog play group and `meet and greet` is recommended if you have another dog at home. She knows how to `sit` on cue and is eager to please her handler. Story
A1264772 Peaches is a 3-year-old, 51-pound, spayed female, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She was spayed by our medial partners. She entered the shelter as a stray. Peaches is full on energy and always on the go, go, go! In enthusiasm she pulls on the leash and will grab the leash to chew on if you aren`t paying attention. She loves attention and enjoys romping off-leash. She will jump on you with excitement and try to give you kisses. Peaches knows how to `sit` on cue, but her energy doesn`t allow her to sit for long! She needs an active family who will include her in activities like hiking, jogging, long distance walking, anything to keep her busy and to wear her out. She will need appropriate chew toys to keep her busy when she isn`t. Peaches will make a wonderful companion once she is settled into a family/home where she is not ignored.
