Sugar may be a special needs girl, however, the emphasis is on the word 'Special.' To know this girl is to love her! Despite her diabetes and blindness, she is a happy, extremely loving and lovable dog. She just wants to have a family or person to love and cherish her. It may take her a moment to warm up to some men, but it's all about smooches from there on out! Sugar loves car rides and rides quietly and well, she likes to be by someone and does well on a leash. She would prefer to be the only pet, though, and would need a home where someone is at home much of the time. This girl is well worth the time and effort! Simba was found emaciated in the woods in amish country by a good Samaritan. Such a handsome guy, he loves to play ball, he has quite the collection, he will give you hours of enjoyment and fun, all he needs is someone to give him a loving home and play ball with him. His original owner was eventually found and they didn't want him. So incredibly sad. He is neutered and up to date on shots. He really is a cute little guy with lots of personality!

Story
I'm heartbroken to have to rehome this wonderful dog and if I had any other choice I would keep her forever but it's not possible. Zarya is super sweet and loving, full of energy, and listens pretty well to commands like sit, shake, and wait. She is almost 3 years old and up to date on all shots and is spayed. She loves her squeaky nerf ball and takes it everywhere with her, and also likes other toys, bones and treats. Zarya is very playful and loves to run. She needs more attention and exercise, due to my work she is cooped up too much right now and would be happier with more time outside. She does not get along with cats at all and is iffy with other dogs, sometimes she gets along with them and sometimes not. She does pull on the leash sometimes on walks so I recommend using a harness but she listens very well to commands. Zarya is very cuddly and loves getting scratches, kisses, and pets. She is pretty good with kids but does get over excited and jumps sometimes.

Story

Ula (pronounced ooh-luh) is super sweet and loving, full of energy, and listens pretty well to commands like sit, shake, and wait. She is 3 years old and up to date on all shots and is spayed. We at the SPCA have had the incredible privilege and opportunity to watch this litter of pups be born and grow. Now these sweet pups are getting closer to looking for their forever homes! Though the pups are not quite ready for adoption and won't be for a few weeks, we are currently accepting pre-applications for adoption which can be found on our website, and emailed to info@medinacountyspca.com. If you are approved, one of our staff members will reach out to set up a meet and greet. If you have any other dogs in the home, you will be required to do at least one meet and greet to introduce them to each other as well. Please wait to be contacted if you are approved. Before deciding to adopt, please make sure you are ready for a 12-15 year commitment. Too many people jump into adopting with good intentions because they see a cute photo. Suddenly they get home with the puppy and realize they are in over their heads and the only one that suffers is the dog. If you're ready to potty train, if you're ready to lose sleep, if you don't mind things getting chewed up around the house and if you work full time and have someone willing to come over during the day to let them out, then take the next step today! (8-10 hours alone for a puppy is not fair at this age and makes it much harder to potty train) This puppy, born to Ms. Burger, has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and dewormed which is included in the $275 adoption fee.
