Story
Meet Birdie! Birdie is a young senior sweetheart at 10 years old who’s ready to trade rescue life for a cozy couch and a forever family. Found as a stray and waiting in an overcrowded shelter, this lovely gal never let it dull her sparkle. Birdie is a happy, social girl who truly enjoys making friends—both human and canine—and greets the world with a warm, gentle enthusiasm. When she’s not charming everyone she meets, Birdie proudly reigns as the queen of cozy. Blankets are her specialty, and she’ll happily burrow herself deep for the kind of epic naps only a seasoned snuggle expert can achieve. Birdie has had a full senior wellness workup and will soon be getting a much-needed dental cleaning along with a small mast cell tumor removed so she’s on track to feel her very best. She could be a wonderful addition to a family with respectful kids, other dogs, and possibly even a cat. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion who balances social butterfly energy with expert-level snuggling, Birdie might just be your perfect match. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on Instagram (@nwdogproject) for updates! If you would like to be considered as Birdie's forever home, be sure to submit an adoption application on our website! Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Birdie would do great in a home with...Cats : Dogs : Yep!  Kiddos : Yep!   ##2610204##

Story
Meet Theodore! Theodore, affectionately known as Theo is a 3 year old american bully mix who has been waiting far too long for his forever home. Found as a stray, Theo spent the last year in a foster home patiently hoping his person or family would find him. With no luck we welcomed Theo into the rescue in hopes of having a better chance. Theo has previously lived happily with other dogs and has even done well around chickens. While his experience with cats is unknown, he has adjusted beautifully to life at the rescue and truly seems to be a friend to all.  This fun-loving beef cake has a joyful spirit and a big heart. Theo enjoys life, loves people, his tennis balls and brings smiles wherever he goes. He would make a wonderful companion for a lucky individual or family ready to give him the loving home he’s been waiting for.  Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Story
This is Elvin Leroux, he's ~2 years old and about 55lbs. I helped liberate him from a small, city-run shelter in NorCal where he had been for about a year. I've had him for 5-6 weeks now and he's just wonderful. I would totally keep him if I could! Elvin is very sweet, very affectionate and a total goofball. He's well behaved, house-trained, and has started some professional obedience and loose-leash training. He's a fast learner. Outside he LOVES to run, so you must have a large yard for him. Elvin loves people and other dogs! He wants all the attention he can get so he would make a great family dog. He'd also make a great emotional support animal due to this sweet, affectionate nature. Indoors he can be a bit of a couch potato and just wants to chill and cuddle up but can go a little bonkers when he's excited. When you're sleeping he likes to curl up right by beside you, often with his head laying on you. Elvin is fixed, has current rabies vax, and is micro-chipped. Questions? Ask!

Story
Coco is a female 15 month old American Pit Bull. She is absolutely amazing with people and dog-savvy kids, house-trained, crate trained, and still working on not pulling on the leash but getting there. She would do best being the only dog in the home, as she has recently shown dog-on-dog aggression. (This is the only reason for us seeking a new home as she recently took a play session too far with our older dog.) She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and on monthly flea treatment. This girl truly deserves a wonderful loving home that we can no longer provide her. She currently lives in a home with indoor cats peacefully, although she will get excited when they run and needs a "No Kitties" reminder to not follow. Feel free to reach out with any questions! Story
Luna (age 3) was a stray from Baja, Mexico that I adopted when she was 12 weeks old. She is an amazing adventure buddy by day and snuggle pup at night! High energy, fast runner, loves to play tug of war and fetch, will jump up and dance with you to music, loves to hike and play with other dogs, especially puppies. She gets cold easily and loves pillows, fuzzy blankets and heating pads/heated car seats. very smart and can be taught many games and tricks. Luna loves children of all ages and sleeps well in her crate, but prefers to sleep with her family in between your legs or under your arm where its most warm. crate and potty trained, minimal pulling on leash, knows several commands: sit, stay, wait, drop, leave it, look, place, come here, off. Rehome reason: shes anxious and will bark/growl around people she doesnt know or if shes startled or approached too quickly, which makes her not the right vibe as my acupuncture clinic therapy dog. No history of aggression.
