Story
Meet Bonnie – Your Perfect Snuggle Companion! Are you looking for a lovable, affectionate house hippo to join your family? Well, then Bonnie (aka Bonnie B. Goode, aka Madame, aka Bongo Butt) is the pup for you! Not a morning person? That’s ok, neither is Bonnie! This little lady loves to sleep in and snuggle on the couch. But don’t let her age fool you—she’s spry for an older gal. She loves to explore outside, go on walks, zoom around, and play with her toys. While she enjoys being a couch potato, she does best with a daily walk or exercise to keep her happy and stimulated. Her mobility is great—she handles stairs just fine but may need a little boost getting into the car. A moderately active family or a fenced yard for exploring would be ideal for her. Leash Training & Socialization Bonnie is leash-trained and a very polite walker, but she’s also a strong lady when she gets excited by an interesting scent or sees another dog. It’s best for an adult to handle her on walks. She is dog-reactive and will whine or pull toward other dogs but can be redirected with patience. While she’s unlikely to be a dog park pup, we’ve seen improvement in her recall—she now comes back and sits when called! Bonnie loves her people but needs time to warm up to new faces. She can get overwhelmed in large groups and prefers to approach guests on her own terms. If given her own "safe space" (like her favorite chair), she settles in well. Guests should allow her time to decompress and wait for her to come to them rather than approaching her first. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll happily snuggle on the couch for movie night! She would do best in a home with older, respectful children (12-15+), as she can be anxious around rowdy kids. With time and structure, she has shown progress in meeting new people, and her foster family continues working on positive reinforcement training to build her confidence. House Manners & Playtime Bonnie is fully house-trained and now a pro at using the dog door! She can be left alone in the house without issue—she doesn’t chew or destroy things, though she loves her toys and Kongs. That said, she does need plenty of mental stimulation, or she may get creative—she once chewed some LEGO pieces when she got bored and hadn’t had her walk yet! Her favorite activities include: -Snuffle mats & puzzle toys - Lick mats & chews - Exploring the yard and barking into the void for 5 minutes a day ? Health & Care Bonnie is healthy, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and recently had a dental cleaning. She eats Science Diet Adult 7+ kibble and enjoys grazing throughout the day. She also gets a daily Cosequin supplement for joint health. While she was previously prescribed Trazodone (an anti-anxiety medication), she hasn’t needed it, but it could be helpful in situations like meeting guests. Who is Bonnie Looking For? -A home with no other pets—she wants to be your one and only! - A moderately active family or a fenced yard for her to explore. - Someone patient and understanding of her initial shyness with new people. -A loving home where she can snuggle, play, and be the center of attention. Bonnie is being fostered in West Jordan, UT, but we can transport her anywhere in the continental U.S. for the right home. Additionally, her adoption fee has been waived for the perfect adopter!

Story
Beetlejuice is a neutered male 2-year-old bull terrier! Beetlejuice is typical bull terrier, and we recommend a home with breed experience. A meet and greet would be best before taking him home to live with other dog friends and we do not recommend a home with cats. Beetlejuice is still puppy like and can be a little nippy. A home with older children would be best for him. He walks well on leash and loves to hang out in the yard and play! If you are interested in meeting with him, please come to the shelter during business hours!

Story
Say hello to Bella, the charming and spirited pup who’s ready to steal your heart! Bella is all about playtime, especially with her fellow rescue pals—she could spend hours frolicking in the yard! While it may take her a little time to warm up, once Bella trusts you, she’ll shower you with endless affection and loyalty. Bella thrives on slow introductions with well-balanced dogs, making her an ideal companion for other furry friends that match her energy. She’s crate-trained and settles in easily, though her playful nature means doggy beds don’t stand a chance—they quickly become her favorite toys! Highly motivated by treats, Bella is eager to learn and responds well to training. She walks well on a leash but can get easily distracted, so a gentle leader might help her focus during outings. Though Bella prefers the comforts of home, she’ll need a little encouragement to embrace the joys of a walk. She can feel anxious around other dogs on her adventures, sometimes expressing her excitement a bit loudly. But remember, every rescue has their quirks, and Bella’s incredible qualities far outweigh any challenges! Bella is ready to find her forever home with a family that understands and loves her just as she is. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will fill your days with joy, Bella is the perfect match! To add Bella to your family, simply send us an email at springbranchrescue@gmail.com for adoption and fee information. She is wagging her tail and wiggling her butt at just the thought of finding her forever home and her story is just beginning. Her next chapter could be with you! Our adoption fee includes transport, all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future away from a city that has an animal crisis. We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets. So often are these animals dumped, abandoned, or born on the streets and never find a home to call their own. We are giving them the chance that every animal deserves. We know that since you are looking to add a furry family member to your home here, you will provide the love, care, and attention they need to thrive. Thank you for considering adopting and not shopping. ##2149754##

Story
The Best 8-Year-Old “Puppy” Around! Looking for a dog who’s got just the right mix of wisdom and zoomies? Meet Gunner! At 8 years old, he’s got life figured out—except for why squirrels won’t be his friends. Why He’s Awesome: Knows important commands like “sit” and “go lie down” (though he sometimes pretends not to hear after “no more treats”). Crate trained—his “man cave” is his happy place. Leash trained, but if another dog walks by… let’s just say he gets very enthusiastic about making new friends. Neutered and fully vaccinated—basically, a low-maintenance best friend. He’s sweet, playful, and great with people of all ages. If you’re looking for a dog that’s past the puppy chaos but still ready for adventures (or couch naps), Gunner is your guy!  We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest & East Coast allowing us to post in specific cities. Due to Covid 19 restrictions all Meet & Greets have been cancelled to keep everyone safe. Our adoptable pets are in Houston living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier. Our application review takes about 10 days.  This adoption process will require 3 videos of (outside of your home, backyard, and inside of your home) since we are not able to conduct home checks at this time. We will be calling 2 references (Not related to you please). We will be contacting your veterinarian (We work with 1st time owners) to make sure you have vaccinated all your pets yearly, and that all have been spayed/neutered. Our transport company leaves Houston every 2 weeks for the Pacific Northwest & East Coast. We will book your baby as soon as adoption & transport fees have been received.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then go to https://www.petstablished.com/organization/920716    ##2351783##
