Story
Introducing Jackson, or as we like to call him, Jack Teller - a true survivor who has overcome countless obstacles in his journey. Imagine finding him at an intersection, abandoned and scared, anxiously waiting for his owners to return. It breaks your heart, doesn't it? But don't worry, this story has a happy ending. Despite his rough start, Jack Teller has blossomed into a remarkable companion. Like any dog, he was initially wary of new faces, but it didn't take long for him to realize that there are kind-hearted souls out there who only want to shower him with love and affection. And boy, did he surprise us all! Jack Teller turned out to be the friendliest pup around, melting hearts left and right with his warm greetings and wagging tail. He's not just good with people, but dogs too - a true social butterfly! If you're looking for a hiking buddy or simply a furry friend to join you on leisurely strolls, Jack Teller is your guy. He absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the great outdoors. Plus, he's a pro when it comes to crate training. Talk about an all-around good boy! But here's the best part - this gentle soul is a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered by the perfect forever family. We believe that every dog deserves a loving home, and Jack Teller is no exception. That's why we make regular trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a special stop in Bellingham, WA, just for our Canadian friends. If you're interested in adopting Jack Teller or want to find out more about him, head over to www.springbranchrescue.org. Don't miss out on the chance to welcome this incredible pup into your life. Trust us, it'll be a decision you won't regret. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.  If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue ##1714321##

Story
Who's the sweetest girl?! Meet Jackie, a 3-year-old pit bull mix and undeniably the sweetest girl! Jackie loves people of all sizes, especially children. She's a gentle and easygoing girl with so much love to give. Jackie came to CAWS from a local shelter where she was a staff favorite. She's a medium energy dog who needs daily exercise - she loves walks and is benefitting from extra practice while on leash, and enjoys a good game of fetch. She also loves swimming and going for rides in the car. Jackie can be a little choosy with her dog friends, but can live with medium to large dogs after a proper introduction and time for them to build their friendship. She shouldn't live in a home with small dogs, cats or other animals. Jackie weighs 44 pounds, but could stand to safely gain a few more lbs. She's crate trained and house trained, and eager to find her forever home! Is it yours? If you’re interested in Jackie, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationSeptember 22, 2023, 7:42 am

Story
Meet Rocco! This handsome boy is an 8-year-old, 80-pound labrador retriever and pit bull terrier mix who recently made his way to CAWS after spending 18 months in a rural West Texas shelter. This guy is so deserving of a forever home and family of his own. Rocco knows all the basic commands and walks very easily on the leash. He loves to play fetch with balls and always brings it back for more. He takes treats very gently and has no problem sharing his toys with the two dogs in his foster home. Rocco isn't a fan of the crate (can you blame him?), but is trustworthy in the house when left uncrated, both alone and with the other dogs. He's a little nervous around the resident cat, but with some time and training he will soon realize cats are cool and not scary! Rocco is very quiet and affectionate, he loves having his face and head scratched, and he really loves snoozing on the couch and his foster mom's bed. He's even gotten comfy enough to lightly snore! Rocco clearly loves living in a home and seems so grateful for every moment. If you'd like to meet Rocco, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Rocco's adoption fee is $200. Story
Don't tell Margot Robbie, but we have the best Barbie right here! This sweet 2.5-year-old pit bull mix is ready for her starring role beside Ryan Gosling's Ken. In addition to her gorgeous smile, our Barbie is a pure entertainer — energetic and curious, and enthusiastic about life. She has a zeal for life that is a joy to be around. This gal weighs about 40 pounds and is ready to find a forever home that will allow her to shine! Barbie hasn't had much training in her life, but we think she's a natural. She's house trained and is working on her crate training in her foster home, and she's proven herself to be a quick study at all things basic obedience. She loves car rides. Barbie gets along well with other dogs, and would make a wonderful co-star with a canine friend who complements her personality. Barbie would do better with older kids and an active family that will keep her mentally and physically engaged. If you'd like Barbie to join your cast, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Barbie’s adoption fee is $200.
