Story
Meet Nino Male DOB: November 14, 2020 Weight: 50 lbs Breed: Pit Bull Terrier Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Dewormed Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Nino is a loving, loyal boy who enjoys companionship, adventure, and spending time with his people. He has a fun personality and especially loves going for walks and riding in the car, making him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys having a dog involved in everyday outings and activities. He has matured into a wonderful adult dog who enjoys both activity and connection with his humans. Nino thrives when he feels included and part of the family. As a Pit Bull Terrier mix, Nino may show traits such as loyalty, intelligence, athleticism, and strong emotional connection to his people. Pit Bull Terrier mixes are often known for being affectionate, people-oriented dogs who bond deeply with their families. Nino does not do well with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. Some dogs naturally have stronger prey-drive tendencies or become overly focused on smaller animals, especially depending on breed traits and past experiences. Nino would thrive in a home that can provide: Daily walks and activity Companionship and inclusion Structure and consistency Positive interaction and engagement He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal dog who enjoys both adventures and affection. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Many rescue dogs come from very different backgrounds. Some may have previously lived in homes, while others may have come from the streets, overcrowded shelters, neglect situations, or environments where they had little structure or guidance. Because of this, most rescue dogs arrive with only basic training at best, and some may have had no formal training at all. Even dogs who appear well-behaved in foster care or at the rescue are still adjusting and learning. The rescue environment itself also does not always allow for extensive one-on-one training. While we work hard to provide safety, structure, socialization, and basic guidance, adopters should be prepared to continue training and support after adoption. Nino will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Structure and consistency Daily exercise and engagement Patience during adjustment periods Continued socialization and guidance Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience, stability, and commitment, rescue dogs often blossom into deeply loyal lifelong companions. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Owning a dog is a lifelong commitment that includes daily exercise, companionship, routine veterinary care, training, mental stimulation, and financial responsibility. Nino will need: Daily walks, exercise, and interaction Continued training and guidance Routine wellness exams and preventative veterinary care A safe, stable, indoor living environment Consistent veterinary care, proper nutrition, preventative care, and emotional stability are all essential to helping him live a healthy and happy life. Nino is vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, and healthy. He is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
We adopted Chewy in 2019 when she was four months old. Her and her siblings had been found in a garbage can. We have loved her and given her a good home for the past seven years. Unfortunately, I am going through a divorce and cannot take Chewy into an apartment. I want to find her a good home, with people that will love her. She is a barky dog. She barks at everything, especially at people she doesn't know. That is what worries me the most about re-homing her. She can be a bit scary looking, with her pit bull face and barking at you. She has never bitten anyone, but does not do well with young kids as their noise and sudden movements make her anxious. If she sees a dog smaller than her, she can be very aggressive. However, if the dog is bigger than her, she will roll over and show her belly right away. She has grown up with cats and is very mellow and tame and really will leave them alone. She loves the red Kong ball and will play fetch all day long, if you will let her!

Story
Meet Trooper – The Sweet, Goofy Companion You’ve Been Waiting For! If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving, and affectionate best friend, Trooper may be the perfect match! This handsome, petite 38lb, 4 year old Pittie / Weimeraner mix has a big heart and a goofy personality that will keep you smiling every day.Trooper is a medium-energy dog who loves going for walks, playing fetch, zooming around the yard, and then curling up on the couch for a cozy nap. He adores his plush toys (especially the ones he can toss around himself!) and enjoys being close to his people—he’s happiest when he can follow you from room to room, just to be near you.Trooper is friendly with other dogs, though he prefers a slow introduction and time to warm up. He would do best in a home with older kids and would love a backyard where he can play and explore. He can be a little uncertain around toddlers and young children. He’s currently learning the ropes of house training and leash manners, and he’s made great progress with structure and consistency. Trooper does best when he has access to a doggy door or regular potty breaks throughout the day. He’s not a fan of being crated for long periods, so a home where someone is around more often—or where he has a safe gated space—would be ideal.Trooper is on daily medication for mild seizures, which are well-managed and don’t stop him from living a happy, active life. He takes his meds like a champ and enjoys his regular vet check-ins.This sweet boy has a few quirks (he can be a bit mischievous if left alone too long and will occasionally indulge in a shoe or two!), but his loving nature and joyful spirit make up for it tenfold. Trooper would thrive in a calm, patient home—maybe with another friendly dog, older kids, or someone who works from home or enjoys spending time outdoors.Once you earn his trust, Trooper will reward you with endless love, loyalty, and laughter. His goofy grin and gentle heart will absolutely steal yours. ❤️Trooper’s Ideal Home:- Older kids or adults only- A yard or regular outdoor access- Another friendly dog (optional but helpful!)- Someone home more often than not- Willing to continue gentle training and give him love and structureIf you’re ready to open your heart and home to this charming, silly, and devoted companion, Trooper is ready to meet you!To meet Trooper, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Trooper's adoption fee is being generously sponsored by Bench Chiropractic <3 If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMay 19, 2026, 7:05 am

Story
This handsome guy is living proof that age only makes you better. Marky Mark is a sweet, older pittie with a heart as big as his adorable blocky head. Don’t let his “distinguished gentleman” status fool you, Mark still has a silly side! He’ll surprise you with little bursts of playfulness, funny expressions, and tail wags that show he’s young at heart. But his true specialty? Snuggling up in a soft, cozy bed (preferably right next to you) and soaking in the simple joys of life. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will fill your home with love, comfort, and just the right amount of silliness, Marky Mark is your guy.
