Have you been looking for a good excuse to be outside and enjoy nature? Me. Pick me! I’m sweet, full of energy and looking for adventure. I like sprinklers and fetching toys. I’m currently in a foster home with dogs of all sizes, a confident calico cat and chickens! I love getting belly rubs from all the kids at the park. I give the best hugs and love cuddling up with the humans before going to sleep through the night in my crate.

Story
If you're looking for a best friend with the absolute best smile and a sugary sweet affectionate soul, meet Tango. This boy is the full package: loyal, playful, soooo loving, and a total goofball with the pittie head that’ll make you fall in love at first sight! We believe Tango is a pittie mix of some sort around 2 years old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. He has the perfect little compact body and the most handsome face ever. Due to him being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. Check out Tango here: https://youtu.be/CS4K0UqmYSs Tango has never met a stranger. He’s the kind of dog who walks into a room and instantly makes everyone feel like they’ve been best friends for years. And if you’ve got treats? Well, buckle up, because you’ve just become the center of his universe. He was not shy giving everyone at the property his undivided attention for a quick round of kisses and puppy tail wags. Treats are the way to this boy’s heart, and he’ll show his appreciation with his signature toothy grin and the happiest tail wag you’ve ever seen. His love for people runs deep. His foster says her favorite thing about him is how he’ll climb into her lap and just gaze at her like she’s the most important person in the world. He is cuddly beyond belief and would absolutely thrive in a home where he can curl up next to you, soaking in all the love you have to give. Tango has lived harmoniously with a full dog squad, four pups in total, and he's been the life of the party. Whether it’s his dominant older foster sister, his high-energy lab buddy, or two playful 1.5-year-old boys. He knows how to read the room and match energy. He plays respectfully, knows when to follow the rules, and can roughhouse with the best of them. He also attends a daycare where he mingles like a pro with a group of 20-30 dogs. His best friends there? A Doberman and another pittie. He really shines around dogs his size or playful puppies who love a good game of chase. He would thrive in a home with another medium energy dog to spend his days with. After a bit of play, Tango knows how to settle down. One of our favorite moments with him was after the crowd cleared and he just hung out with us in a quiet room, relaxed and content, soaking up some one-on-one time. He’ll make a great adventure buddy followed by an evening relaxing on the couch. He walks beautifully on leash and would be the kind of dog you take to the park, patio, or trail and know he’ll be right by your side, smiling the whole way. At home, he’s crate trained and sleeps through the night like a champ. He would do best in a home with a yard to run off his zoomies, and we can easily see him thriving with older, dog-savvy kids who’ll love him as much as he loves them. If there is a certain age that you are curious to know how Tango interacts with, let us know. We will be happy to find out. We want to make sure he is perfect for your family! Cats, however, are not his cup of tea. He’s all about the people and the pups. He doesn’t need much to be happy, just a little space to play, a lap to lean into, and someone to share his big heart with. Tango is the definition of man’s best friend, but really, he’s everyone’s best friend. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving, treat-motivated cuddle machine with the biggest heart and a head you’ll want to smooch daily, Tango is ready to two-step his way right into your life. Does Tango sound like your future best buddy? Apply today! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6879689af05ad753a6069089 Questions? We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
If you’re on the search for the bestest girl, congratulations! Your search is over. You have come to the golden ticket of a pooch. Her name is Mocha Swirls, and just one look at her and you'll understand why. Her coat is a rich, velvety brindle, like fresh coffee laced with ribbons of cinnamon, and the delicate swirls across her back look like warm cinnamon rolls pulled straight from the oven. She’s just as sweet as she sounds, too. Mocha is the kind of girl who melts into every moment, especially when surrounded by her favorite things: her people, a soft toy, and treats for good measure. We believe Mocha is a pittie mix of some sort around 1 year old and weighs approximately 48 pounds. Due to her being a rescue, age and breed are our best guess and cannot be guaranteed. Check out Mocha here: https://youtu.be/Bb6CXAC40Ug At home, Mocha is a model houseguest. Her crate manners are something her foster brags about! She sleeps soundly through the night, never puts up a fuss, and willingly trots into her kennel like a seasoned pro. She lives with an 8-year-old child and has been nothing but gentle and loving, a sweet presence around younger energy. She even proved herself to be a social butterfly at a bustling July 4th party, mingling with strangers like she’d known them forever, her tail wagging and tongue hanging out in her signature goofy smile. We believe that she would do well with older dog savvy children. Want to know something cool? She is good with cats! Yes, cats! She lives with four of them and not only respects their space, but truly seems to enjoy being around them. She’s gentle, never pushy, just a polite little companion who knows how to coexist peacefully. Around dogs, Mocha is very neutral. When she came to visit some of our resident puppies, she wasn’t the type to immediately jump into play. She was more of an observer than a participator. She favored the calmer and gentle dogs over the high energy in your face pups. She would do well in a home with a medium energy pup who will allow her to settle into her new environment before they become besties. She doesn’t need another dog to feel whole, though. What she really wants is a human who will pay attention to her, spend time with her, and treat her like the best friend she’s longing to be. During her visit with us, she greeted every new person with joyful enthusiasm, offering affection and warmth to anyone who would receive it. We watched her entertain herself with a pink stuffed toy, tossing it in the air and chasing it down in a little game of self-fetch. She was perfectly content in her own happy little world, but the moment I joined in and played with her, she lit up like a firework. She craves connection, and while she can absolutely entertain herself, there’s something magical about being her chosen human. She is just so good! While lounging on the patio with her foster, dogs passed nearby and she didn’t bat an eye. No barking, no tension. Just a calm, composed pup soaking in the day. She showed all the signs of a future coffee shop companion, the kind of dog who would lie happily under your table while you sip your latte and chat with friends. Mocha has that lovely mix of playful energy and the ability to relax when it’s time to wind down. She’d do wonderfully in a home with a yard, but would also thrive with an active apartment owner who understands her need for daily enrichment. She’s smart, agile, and wildly food motivated. I had her following commands like a pro with just a bit of spray cheese and a few treats. The potential to train her for tricks, agility, or just cool party tricks is absolutely there. This girl has it all: beauty, brains, loyalty, and heart. She’s the kind of dog who fits seamlessly into a family, wraps herself around your heart, and becomes that once-in-a-lifetime best friend. With Mocha Swirls, every day is just a little sweeter. Does Mocha sound like your new bestie?
