Story
Don't tell Margot Robbie, but we have the best Barbie right here! This sweet 2.5-year-old pit bull mix is ready for her starring role beside Ryan Gosling's Ken. In addition to her gorgeous smile, our Barbie is a pure entertainer ----energetic and curious, and enthusiastic about life. She has a zeal for life that is a joy to be around. This gal weighs about 40 pounds and is ready to find a forever home that will allow her to shine! Barbie hasn't had much training in her life, but we think she's a natural. She's house trained and is working on her crate training in her foster home, and she's proven herself to be a quick study at all things basic obedience. She loves car rides. Barbie gets along well with other dogs and would make a wonderful co-star with a canine friend who complements her personality. Barbie would do better with older kids and an active family that will keep her mentally and physically engaged. If you'd like Barbie to join your cast, please fill out an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Barbie's adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationApril 18, 2024, 7:35 am

Story
Hi! My name is Moolissa and I'm the sweetest, most beautiful girl. I am a 10ish year old pit bull but I have a lot of love and life left to give. I am a chill sort of gal but also love to go on walks and explore the yard. Then I love to snuggle on the couch and get scratches behind my ears and on my head. Don't tell anyone though, my absolute favorite are... butt scratches! I will go between your legs to get the optimal spot for that soo wonderful rump scratchies. I even purr like a kitty when that happens. I'm seriously hilarious. I get along well with all my foster doggie brothers and sisters, big and small. I haven't met any cats so I don't know how I would be with them yet. I do find my foster bunny brother really interesting. ;) I sure do love my people! Overall I'm just a big love who just makes people smile. Did i mention I'm housetrained and walk well on a leash? I'm pretty darn near perfect. I do need to continue being on a good healthy diet and a regular exercise regimen to get me back to a healthy weight. I'm such a good girl though, I don't complain at all. Although I am known to beg for what you're eating. I also have some allergies and will likely need to continue my daily meds to keep it in check. But I am so worth it! Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. Story
This big guy is Bowie (fka Gambit). He was adopted as a puppy 2 years ago, but he was returned to us a few months ago. Bowie started having seizures and his adopter was not able to deal with them. We have spent the past few months working out a medication protocol that controls Bowie's seizures and lets him lead a good quality of life. Bowie is a big sweetheart. He is in a foster home with several other dogs of all sizes and a group of kitties as well. Bowie does well with all of them! Bowie is a bit independent, he doesn't snuggle much, but he's happy to just hang out with you. Bowie loves napping in the grass, going on car rides, walks around the neighborhood, and curling up in his bed while binge watching Netflix with you. And he loves the occasional bite of pizza! Bowie will need a special home that can continue his medication and vet care and will be able help him deal with his seizures if they happen. This gentle boy needs a loving family that will commit to love him forever. Bowie was born Feb 2021

Story
Hi! My name is Pibbles and I am a 5 month old pit bull x border collie (and maybe some lab?) mix pup. I am a very friendly and outgoing pup! A real social butterfly! I love everyone I meet-- adults, kids, dogs, cats. I have a moderate activity (especially for a young pup). A daily walk and a weekend hike or camping trip would be an ideal life for me. At the end of the day, I am content to snuggle down in your lap and watch your favorite TV shows. I am house-broken, crate-trained, neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org

Story
Miko is truly an experience that fills your heart with love and compassion. From the moment he was rescued approximately at six months old, it was evident that he had endured a difficult start in life. He was discovered in a state of poor health, burdened by fleas and even had a wire wrapped around his neck. This unfortunate past has left Miko with a timid nature, as if the world had not always been kind to him. However, once you earn his trust, you are welcomed into a world of the biggest and sweetest personality imaginable. His ability to play with other dogs is a testament to his resilient spirit. Regularly attending daycare allowed him to socialize and form meaningful connections with his furry companions. However it is crucial to acknowledge that Miko's past experiences have left him easily scared by loud noises and sudden movements. As a result, he may not be best fit for households with young children who may inadvertently cause him distress.  Miko's gentle nature shines through, as he has never displayed any signs of aggression towards anyone. If we were to summarize Miko's essence in just three words, they would undoubtedly be loyal, gentle, and playful. He has proven himself to be a loyal companion, always by your side through thick and thin. His gentleness radiates from him, making him an absolute joy to be around. And his playful nature brings endless laughter and happiness to those fortunate enough to share their lives with him. In terms of his overall well-being, Miko is a picture of health. He is both crate and potty trained, a testament to his intelligence and adaptability. Additionally, he has been neutered and is up to date on all of his necessary shots.  The only minor obstacle he faces is mild allergies and dry skin, which are effectively managed through the use of soothing coconut oil. In conclusion, Miko is a remarkable companion who deserves all the love and care in the world. His journey from a troubled past to a bright future is a testament to his resilience and capacity for forgiveness. Opening your heart to Miko means inviting an unwavering loyalty, a gentle soul, and an endless source of joy into your life. He is a true gem, ready to embark on a new chapter of love and happiness with a forever family. We offer transport from Houston to the Pacific Northwest every two weeks.  And guess what? We've got some exciting news for our friends up in the Great White North! We've got a special stop in Bellingham, Washington just for you, our lovely Canadian residents to drive to. So, if you're interested in adopting the one and only Stella, head on over to our website at www.springbranchrescue.org. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this little ball of energy and laughter! If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance.  For more info visit www.springbranchrescue.org ##1968778##
