IMPORTANT: The Nature Network Inc. is a small 501c3 non-profit no-kill organization. Most animals we rescue are abandoned at the pound, who no one wants--seniors and special-needs. 100% of all funds are used for them—extensive veterinary and medical costs, prescription meds, rehab, special foods, supplements, and more. Below, under our The Nature Network CONTACT INFO you can find a “DONATION” link. We are deeply grateful for help. To meet us, help us, or if you know people or businesses who would like to, please contact us at: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal Giving email address for donation and sponsorship). Mailing: The Nature Network Inc., 3826 Grand View Blvd., #66790, Los Angeles, CA 90066. We are not like many larger non-profits who use up to 90% of all funds on expensive advertising, enormous salaries, social media, and human expenses. Our veterinary references are available upon request. DIANA came to us because she used to "guard" people's purses and sweaters at her former mom's home and place of business. Visitors were a little afraid of her, and there was the idea that business could begin to slow down because of the guard-cat guarding the home :o) Diana doesn't care much for people touching her in any way or trying to moving her around, is very independent, and doesn't like being forced to do stuff she doesn't want to do, sometimes taking a bit of a bite out of folks' hands, very antisocial. However, Diana was declawed by her former owner, and this is the change that occurred afterwards. She was never the same after that. We think this is her revenge--and can you blame her? Diana is spayed and healthy. To meet Diana, please email theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our Paypal address for donation and sponsorship).

Our veterinary references are available upon request. SPOTS recently developed kidney issues. She just received her first IV fluids and may be needing them intermittently. Spots is a sweet girl with beautiful green, curious eyes and delightful black and white "reverse" tuxedo markings. She has always lived indoors and enjoys watching the other animals and birds from the comfort of her favorite window seat. Spots is a VERY affectionate cat. She expects a few face rubs as soon as you wake up in the morning and would love a nice rub down when you return home. She loves to be brushed and even likes the occasional belly rub. She loves to lie on your legs or lap and is an overall snuggle queen. Spots is obedient and will respond to the commands "stop," "sit," and "no" (when she wants to). She’s a little shy around strangers but will warm up to someone pretty quickly. When it comes to playtime, Spots enjoys laser lights against a wall, balloon string, feather toys and socks. She also likes to strike a pose for the camera. She definitely knows when she's being photographed. Spots is best as an only cat with a woman or man who works at home or has a flexible schedule. When she's alone she likes to sleep on your shoes or on her scratching post and wait for your return. She loves to be around her human, she likes to listen to stories and would feel safe and pampered in a low-key household. Spots has always lived indoors--so INDOOR ONLY, but now special needs with kidney issues. To meet Spots, please contact: theanimalsleftbehind@socal.rr.com (Also our PayPal address for donations and sponsorship).

Black: Just like James Bond this tuxedo is always ready for action. Full of energy this little guy is an absolute delight! A grade A snuggler, he’ll even put up with being cuddled like a newborn, for a little bit anyways. Black would be a fantastic friend to an older cat who might be slowing down. He loves to play with his brother, Grey, and they would both make a fantastic addition to a home that wants to make sure their cat has a compatible buddy. Fixed and vaccinated this cutie is ready for his forever home.

Fixed with all her shots she is healthy and ready to love, Fostered in an environment with multiple cats, she can definitely hold her own, but would really blossom as a solo cat. She is an experienced co-sleeper who knows how important bedtime is!

Story
Ducky is part of a BONDED PAIR with Lemon. He is about 3 years old but I'm not sure. He was rescued from underneath a house as a kitten, so he is a street cat at heart. He is an indoor only cat though. He is skiddish, but once he is comfortable around you he absolutely loves attention and affection. He's very vocal, playful, and food driven. He loves watching the birds outside. He loves Lemon a lot, they sleep together every night. He's got a little chubby belly. He is not neutered even though his ear is clipped, I don't know why it's clipped. He's definitely a cuddler, he loves to snuggle right by your legs or sit on your lap.

Story
My name is Batman. I am a big beautiful ginger cat with a cute little meow! I am a very loving kitty, but I grew up in a very scary, crowded, place that belonged to a horder. As a result, I am a bit shy, but I warm up to you as soon as I know you. I have a brother named Robin who looks a lot like me and who grew up in the same situation as I did. Luckily VFTA rescued us both and gave us a nice, clean place to live. Now I love lying in the sun, getting petted on my bum and eating cat treats! I get along great with other cats, but I'm hoping to find a forever home with someone who appreciates a handsome, lovable ginger like me!  Would you like to meet me and my brother? Story
Named after the super famous and totally fab, Penelope Cruz, I'm smart, independent, and the strongest of my five siblings. I am a tuxedo cat and I have been called very pretty and I like to think of myself as stylish too! My story didn’t start out as promising. I was born in an alley and I didn’t have much of a chance in the beginning. Then this nice lady decided to help my family. She called VFTA and they came to rescue me in the pouring rain. Now I am so happy and well adjusted. I like to climb, I love to play and chase toys, but my favorite thing to do is eat treats! Ahhh, fish a la carte mmmmm...I will do just about anything for a good treat! I am looking for a forever home with a human who wants a stylish cat. I look good with just about anything and match most color schemes. For more information or to set a meeting please contact adoption @vftafoundation.org or call 310-392-5153 .

We are not like many larger non-profits who use up to 90% of all funds on expensive advertising, enormous salaries, social media, and human expenses. Our veterinary references are available upon request. We rescued BELINDA from immediate death at the pound. She is a beautiful (not purebred) small black Burmese/Siamese-looking kitty who was abandoned by her owners and ended up in the pound, a mere shadow of herself. She was thin, had a cold, and the runs, and she made pitiful "meows" when we first met her. Belinda had been inside the back room at the shelter where they are euthanized, but was taken out through the pleas of a kindly shelter volunteer while we stood by to receive her. When no one had adopted her after another week went by (she looked so sad and thin), she was only one hour away from her second and final trip to the back room. That is when we rushed over to get her because of the emails her savior sent us. We also saved an emaciated small white Shepherd/Shiba Inu pup that day, who had also been taken out at her last moment, who also was to go back in for her final trip that same day. Belinda is now spayed, getting healthy, and hopefully soon back to her normal weight. We have bathed and groomed her and taken good care of her, and her faith in the kindness of humans is restored. Story
Hi everyone my names Bast, and I'm looking for my furever home! I recently moved in with my foster parent and am flourishing in an environment that's all my own. I like taking long walks from the window to my food bowl, which I do frequently throughout the day. When I'm not at my window protecting my new home from invaders, AKA birds, I am on my foster moms lap (or anyones lap for that matter) getting all the pets. I'm a chatty gal because there's simply so many things to discuss! I'm so excited to meet you!

Story
Lemon is part of a BONDED PAIR with Ducky. I rescued Lemon from an neglectful situation as a kitten, her previous owner got her from a breeder I believe. She is about 5 years old, and indoor only. She is timid but very very social and curious once comfortable, which happens fast. She loves physical affection and knows her name very well. Sometimes she pees outside the litter box if it needs to be cleaned. We're looking for someone who can provide her with a nice couch to sleep on and lots of physical affection.
