Story
The cat family was raised in a private homeI’M DAISY THE MOST LOVED KITTEN. Everyone tells me that I am their favorite and so I know that I am cute being black and white with my black mustache that everyone comments on! I like to be the center of attention and I’m a big hit on Zoom calls! People are always asking to adopt just me, but I love my sister Java and want to a home that would love us both! My sister Java lets me be the boss and I like that! But I’m not just a great looking kitten. I just want to love everyone! I’m always the first to run up to people and get my belly rubbed. I like to explore and pretend to hunt my sister and then we play chase. My sister Java is very special to me and I would like us to grow up together! The two of us lay on top of the cat tree and hang over the edge and snooze. If my sister is still sleeping and can’t play then I chase my tail and then I will play with my toys. I am looking for us to be adopted by a person that makes the time to take care of us just right! I’m a very clean kitten and I am fastidious about having a clean box.  If you rub my tummy then I will be your best friend always and I will adore you! For more info, call or text DiAnna at 949-759-3646 or email at DiAnna@animalnetwork.org. Story
Bottle Fed and Hand RaisedI am Robin the foster mom of young Bandit. He will probably always look like a kitten because he is petite in size. I named him Bandit because he makes me laugh by stealing my cat's toys and my socks and takes the things to his hiding place under the bed. Bandit just turned a year old, but he is petite in size so he still looks like a kitten and his coloring pattern is known as a "Cow Kittie".  Everyone at my work on zoom loves his markings with his black eyepatch and tail, plus a few black spots here and there.  His fur is so soft – he feels like a bunny.  He grew up with his brother so he had a good upbringing with interactive play, too. He lives with me and my two five-year-old male cats and Bandit is too much "about" play for them, or I would adopt him. He does well with my cats but despite his petite size he thinks he should get all the loving and tries to be the dominant cat.  Bandit was bottle fed and hand-raised which gave him his love to snuggle with humans. He loves to cuddle and snuggle up to your neck. He is a very affectionate cat, but he is shy at first. He can’t refuse petting, toys and wet food, so those are the methods to use when you first meet him and he seems shy. Once he feels comfortable, he will want to play and cuddle every day. He wants to be close so he can be stubborn about rules to not get on the table. He is excellent when it comes to the litter box and not using his claws. He has not scratched one thing in my house, not even the leather furniture. He has no desire to go outside, and he loves the cat grass I grow. Bandit is the perfect cat for someone who wants a small cat that wants to play and cuddle. Does Bandit Seem Like A Good Fit With Your Family? We Want To Get To Know You... PLEASE REPLY WITH THE "BELOW" INFORAMTION WHEN YOU INQUIRE. THE ADOPTION PROCESS: COVID and the Delta variant have changed the way we do things so the interview process starts with you replying about yourself, others in the home or others that visit regularly, current pets and about the ones that you have had in the past and where they are now. Your work schedule, and what lifestyle you plan for your pet; indoor only, indoor but allowed out sometimes, indoor / outdoor. Your answers will give us an idea of your experience and the lifestyle of choice for your new pet. The organization wants to get to know the potential adopter before formalizing an application because it is important to discover if the cat of interest is a good fit for you, your family, lifestyle and with any other pet family members.    August 14, 2023, 12:02 am

Story
Ducktail (Russian Blue look-alike) and Lawnmower (red-streaked tabby) are two gorgeous, sweet sisters who are less than a year old. They were found as newborn kittens last July in a Long Beach hospital parking lot. They are a little shy at first, but their curious natures allow them to warm-up quickly. They love to play and get all the head scratches. They get along well with other animals, but are also content to keep each other company. They are spayed, up to date on vaccines and are house trained. We'd really love these two to be taken in to a forever home where they are safe, cared-for and doted on because they are practically purr-fect and deserve the very best!

Story
For many years AALOC has been blessed with an amazing relationship with one of the best Mexican restaurants and event venues in Orange County: The Hacienda in Santa Ana. When one of their employees passed away, we were able to assist by taking into our care the person’s long-loved kitty named Sugar. There couldn’t be a better name for this little cat. She is as sweet as they come. She likes attention, loves to play and is curious about everything. You can tell Sugar had an owner from an early age – she is quick to make friends with humans. Sugar was recently diagnosed with FeLV, feline leukemia. Although she is showing no symptoms and has no active infection, and may never will, she can never be around her other cat friends again due to the virus being transmitted. Thankfully FeLV is a cat only virus, and humans, dogs, other animals are safe around Sugar. We’d love a foster home that can take this unbelievably wonderful cat into their home! Please submit an application to adopt Sugar on our website at www.aaloc.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Sugar and get to know her a bit. Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on adoption policies visit our cat adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.

Fizzy is an affectionate cat, likes to hang out with people, naps and sleeps on the bed. He loves chasing feathers and playing fetch. Fizzy would work best in a house without other male cats, he tends to be a little territorial around them. A lovely cat!

Story
Found in an adoption site around 7 years ago, at that moment he had some wounds and he was not too familiar with being around people. He was around 3 years old at that time and super skinny. We grew up to love him and did as much as we could to make him comfortable around us. Our household grew up a little too much now with 2 kids and a baby coming on May. We are looking for someone that could spend good quality time and can actually take good care of him since as he grows, he would need more care and more love that with pain in my heart I don't think our family could give him that. Please, if you're looking for a loving, playful, funny and really quiet cat, give him a chance and he would get into your heart.

Story
Bingo and Cheddar are the perfect pair. Bingo is mostly Orange with a little white. He is the cuddlier and and looooooves to be pet. Bingo will actively ask for pets in the morning and evening if he hasnt gotten his daily cuddles. Cheddar is orange with white bottom half. He loves to play and will nudge in on any pet session that is happening without him. The foster home has other young cats, a gentle giant, Golden Doodle and three young kids. Bingo and Cheddar are great with all of them! Loud or quiet house, these flexible kitties will thrive! They are both playful, love treats and laser lights. Cheddar comes to a whistle for treats. He would be easy to train to do tricks if you were up for that kind of fun! Cheddar is outgoing and social and Bingo comes out of his shell if there are cuddles or Cheddar is around. Bingo LOVES his big brother Cheddar and they need to be adopted together.

These pups are in Newport Beach, California too!

Story
An Overall Great Cat!We describe Cleopatra as a Bombay-look and call her “Cleo”. She is highly spoken of by her rescuer that says she is a rare “find” at a feral cat colony feeding station! She just sauntered right out of the trap after having been spayed instead of running away like a rocket like a wild cat. Who knows how she ended up out on her own but we are thankful that such a nice cat could find help and be rescued.   To people feeding feral cats, a tipped ear signals to the people feeding feral cats that the cat has been spayed or neutered. That’s why Cleo’s ear is tipped. If you are looking for a really sweet and wonderful cat that gets along with other cats and is easy going, affectionate and playful please inquire about her. She kneads her paws often showing her happiness to just be looking at you and is eager to enjoy your company or be included with your guests. All cats need time to adjust to a new home. Cleo may hide for a bit of time until she feels safe. But we are confident that she will adjust and become part of your family soon. STEPS TO ADOPTION:  I'm DiAnna and I can help you with information and arrange a meeting in the caregiver’s home.  However, we like to get to know the potential adopter before formalizing an application to discover if the cat of interest is a good fit. Some cats like getting all the attention and do best with people at home, some don't want to live with other cats and some don't like dogs and children. We want everyone to be happy! I know all the cats in our network and can speak with you about your search after I get to know you.  COVID has changed the way we do things so the interview process starts with you sharing in your inquiry about yourself, others in the home or others that visit regularly, current pets and about the ones that you have had in the past and where they are now. Your work schedule is important, and what lifestyle you plan for your pet; indoor only, indoor, but allowed out sometimes, indoor / outdoor.  I look forward to hearing from you and getting to know you. I am available to speak with you by phone and help you with your search but after you introduce yourself.    Then we proceed to a formal application and we accept short video clips of yourself, others in the home and the areas of your home that the cat will have access to.  A LITTLE ABOUT US: “We Specialize in “Pet-quality, Friendly, Sociable Cats and Kittens that Live in Private Homes with People That Love Them!” You, too, could become a foster parent to a cat, or a kitten litter! Just ask! It is super rewarding and a nice way to get to know cats before you adopt! Community Animal Network believes that all young beings enjoy the action of playing with another. Kittens adopted in pairs with their BFF or, “equal energy playmate” are happiest when having friends to play with. Just like all young beings rough and tumble together making it fun to watch, too.  This kitty is being cared for by Community Animal Network, a non-profit organization founded by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin in 1996. C.A.N is a veterinary medical rescue with a vet internship program for aspiring veterinarians as young as 15 years old. The founder of Community Animal Network, DiAnna Pfaff-Martin, is very particular about the quality of raising the kittens with vitamins, proper diet. A board-certified feline specialist provides the animals with their veterinary medical care and Community Animal Network offers veterinary internships to young people as young as 15 that have aspirations of becoming a vet.  Feral kittens are tamed to "pet quality" and rescue cats that are shy are disclosed and termed, "rescue quality" with a lower placement fee. The most current information is made available about how to keep your cat healthy, pet foods, litters and how to make your cat more affectionate and her specialty is teaching, “How To Make Cats Happy!” The AVID microchip is implanted in every cat and the chips’ registration fee is included in the adoption and the animals come with a 30-day heath commitment and return policy. MY SISTER IS DAISY: I’m Dolly and honestly, I am everyone’s favorite and they tell me that they love me. I’m a big hit on the Zoom calls and everyone loves my black and white pattern and black mustache and is talking about me! But I’m not just a great looking Kitten.  I have a lot of personality.  I’m always the first to run up and say “Hi” and I like to explore, have my belly rubbed and play with my sister who is another fun-loving kitten! She and I lay on top of the cat tree and hang over the edge and snooze.  I love to play with my sister Java who is another fun-loving kitten. But I also chase my tail when I get tired of playing with my toys. I’m just right for a really fastidious person because I like to have a clean box. I’ll be your best friend always and if you rub my tummy I will adore you! I'M THE MOM: I’m Bella and a beautiful female with sable coloring with longer fur. I started out with my family, but they moved and left me behind.  The very nice neighbor was 90 years old and she fed me, but I was all alone outside except when “the boys” came around…. and you know what that means!   RESCUE STORY: My caregiver passed away 3 days after my kittens were born and her son fed me, but the house was going to be sold and me and my gorgeous kittens had to move.  I’m finally inside and I love it since I was rescued by Community Animal Network and we are all safe in a foster home, now. I’m not a big cat, my fur actually makes me look bigger, but I have the “biggest” purr of them all. I love brushing and petting and I’ll follow you around for more loving.  I like to play chase with my kittens and zooming around the round is really lots of fun.  I’m looking for a home that would be “forever” that I can lay next to you and purr or we can play with the toys.  I’m just happy to be safe and be indoors with you.        August 14, 2023, 12:02 am

Story
The cat family was raised in a private homeI'M JAVA THE SWEETEST KITTEN. I look like a Bombay breed cat. People say I am a gentle kitten with a mellow attitude and I know that I’m very lady-like. I’m told that I take after my mom with a calm personality. My sibling Daisy (Black & White with a cute mustache) is my best friend and she is really outgoing.  I let Daisy take the lead and she will run up to everyone and I’m always right behind her to say “Hi”, but I like to observe the scene for a moment before stepping in when meeting new people. I am very polite and let my sister Daisy begin eating first but when it comes to play, I am “hunting” my toys and run from one side of the room to the other practicing my “prey skills’ to get them! My favorite thing is to run and slide on the wood floor… “Wheee, What Fun!” When I’m not playing, I’m cuddling with my Mom Bella, or my sister. I like to be held and cuddled.  I’m sure when you meet me that you will agree that my fur is so soft and you will never want to put me down. Community Animal Network didn’t separate us from our mom like others do. I’ve had a good upbringing and been nurtured and have had a good healthy start with mothers’ milk and my mom was provided with good nutrition when she was pregnant and not found starving like so many other moms.   For more info, call or text DiAnna at 949-759-3646 or email at DiAnna@animalnetwork.org. This kitty is being cared for by Community Animal Network, a non-profit organization founded by DiAnna Pfaff-Martin in 1996. C.A.N is a veterinary medical rescue that helps local animals find forever homes. The animals are cared for and raised in private homes.
