Story
I will start by saying Charcoal is a great and loveable cat under the right conditions. When we are alone with no other cats around, he is the most attention starved cat on the planet. He's shy around strangers so he takes time to warm up to people. We got him when he was about a month old back in October 2020 from a family friend. Things started out fine. We got him fixed as soon as the vet gave the go ahead to avoid the very issue we have now. He acts as if he's never been fixed. He fights all our female cats, (tolerates the males?) and worse of all, he's marking everywhere. We've taken him to the vet, nothing wrong. We tried pheromone diffusers and collars, nothing improved. Judging by his behavior when we are alone with him, we have come to the hard decision that our house might just be stressing him out too much. He might just not like other cats as we never see him playing with anyone.

Story
Maggie is a beautiful black and white cat. Maggie is a talker! She is approx 4 yrs old. She loves to drink out of the faucet and loves her independence. She would thrive in a home where she is the queen. She does well with dogs, but does not like other cats which is why we need to re-home her unfortunately.

I AM IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION, ONCE APPROVED, GIVE US A CALL AND WE CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO MEET ME! Born: 3/30/2017 Adoption Donation: $50 Pineapple can be a great companion as long as you respect his boundaries. He enjoys being in your company and observing your activities, often in anticipation of a treat. He is highly motivated by food and not very fussy about what he eats. Pineapple enjoys sharing your bed and playing with strings and laser pointers. He finds watching birds and squirrels entertaining. You'll be pleased to know that Pineapple is diligent about using the litter box and only scratches designated scratchers, not your furniture. All in all, he's a low-maintenance cat. All cats are microchippped, neutered, current on all vaccines, and FeLV/FIV tested at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present at the time of your appointment. The shelter is currently open by appointment only with an approved application. Please note, all applications are considered general and stay on file for 6 months. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, the adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Story
Tiny is a lover who no longer has to be a fighter! Her and her best friend Midnight were found dumped out side and taken in but couldn’t stay with the man who found them. So they hopped from rescue to rescue and then had one day to be either put down or released and considered “feral”. She is an absolute sweetheart who loves attention and being pet but is just awkward with being held. Please consider being her and Midnight’s forever home.

Story
Midnight just like her bestie Tiny is a love! She is weird about being held as well but her love language is food and cuddles. She will always follow Tiny around and ask for pets on her journey around. She needs a family who will love her and give her and tiny the life they deserve.

Anderson Humane is not responsible for any unsuccessful adoptions. Cheyenne is super sweet and loving. She will nudge on you when she wants to be pet. She will sleep in your bed every night with you. I do believe she should probably be the only cat due to her being mean lately to my other cat. She doesn't mind dogs, usually ignores our dog if they leave her alone. Her only issue is she does puke. She will eat her food too fast and puke later OR if she gets table scraps of any form she will puke. She has gotten outside before and comes right back in so she's not a flight risk at all. She loves to sit in windows and watch birds and smell the air. She also loves to be brushed. She does have all of her claws as well. I included a photo of her with pup showing she gets along and then a picture of her with my other cat. She likes her when she likes her but when she doesn't she's real mean.
