Story
Kitty Kai was found in a storm drain near our home July of 2022, she was very thin, malnourished and had obviously had an litter of kittens, and she was scared. I fostered her and got her back to health, had her spayed, de-wormed, shots up to date in July 2023. She is a very patient Cat, the Vets think she was under a year old last July (too early to have a litter). I am estimating her age at 2 years now. She does get up on my lap, often now and especially loves her early morning cuddle/love time. She is kennel trained, and sleeps in a large, 3 shelved playpen. Kitty Kai loves to go outside and be inside both. She is being treated topically every month for fleas/ticks. I have a lot of equipment for her if needed. She is a very sweet and friendly cat with my family but I simply can not take her with me.

Story
These two handsome 3 year old brothers were adopted from a local shelter about a year ago. When being brought to their new home they were extremely nervous. One was out and slowly exploring while the other took his time. Over a couple of weeks they started to warm up to me and the new home. They are very shy to new people. They are both extreme cuddle bugs; after I come home from work one, or both, love to come and use my body as a napping pillow. They absolutely love looking out windows and will watch birds and try to imitate bird noises. When going to pet them they make a little trill noise and lean into the scratches, sometimes to the point they will flop on to the floor for a belly rub. They love feather and string toys as well as batting mouse toys around, and they play with each other too. I am sad to see them go but my soon to be living conditions will not allow them, and I want to make sure they find a good home instead of a shelter.

Story
Hi, I’m Echo! I’m only age three, and still a kitten at heart. I’m a big-framed boy with exotic looks and resemble a bobcat when I run and jump, which I love to do when playing. I like to look out the window and watch birds, and would love a tall cat tree to watch from. I welcome visitors and enjoy being with people. I’m very loving, love being petted and kisses on my head. I'm a very curious boy and enjoy interactive play with all kinds of toys. My foster mom thinks I could learn to play fetch because I once chased a ball down the hall, picked it up, ran it back to her, then dropped it at her side on the couch. I was interested and curious when a cat-friendly dog visited, so would likely do OK with one with slow and gradual introduction. I was lost and came to my foster mom’s home looking for help. She has taught me to get back from the door when asked, so please continue that since my outdoor curiosity got me lost before. Because of my playfulness and high energy, I’m not the best match for young children, but would be OK with older cat-savvy children. For more information or to arrange a time to meet me, please call Gaye at 913.661-0294. I'd love to meet you to see if we are a good match! I'm staying in the Kansas City metro and would like to make my permanent home in this area, too. #thepetconnection

Story
Hi! My name is Jeanne, but my foster mama calls me Gigi. In my former life, I was a street cat, but at the age of seven months, I wandered into a humane trap set by folks at The Pet Connection when they were trying to catch a lost kitty. I'm now a big girl and over a year old, so my new goal is to find myself a forever home. I can be shy at first, but once I warm up, get ready to PLAY! I get so excited to see my foster feline siblings. Like, it's the best part of my day! We play chase and jump around together. The cat perch is super useful as a launching point, in case you need a launching point in the future. So. Much. Fun! I'm a little gal and my foster brothers are way bigger than I am, but that doesn't bother me one bit, because I have a TON of personality. Being a lap kitty and being petted are also some of my specialties. Helping my foster mom in the office on the side is such a blast! She says I need more practice at filing, but I'm excellent at making confetti. Guess what? Now I get to be around the dogs in the house! They used to like to watch me play, and I knew we'd do just fine once we got to know each other. But one of them did go and hide after I gave him a teeny tiny hiss, just to see what he'd do. Not so brave, that one. Call or text The Pet Connection for more info on me, Jeanne. 913-671-7387. I'm in the KC metro, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnection

Story
Hi, I'm Fern! 😺 My mother was abandoned while she was pregnant with us, but she found a home that took her in and raised us. I'm now 6 months old, up to date on shots, neutered, and looking for my forever home. I'm very playful and mischievous, I love to run around and play with toys 🧶 and then curl up beside you for a nap.
