Story
I adopted Mitch from the NE. Humane Society in 2015. He was 3 months old. I just found out he’s diabetic & needs medication which I cannot afford. (I also found out he’s got bad teeth as well). 2 years ago he had a rabies shot & also, apparently, got an infection in his right ear (I think my other cat bit him)—- that’s why he has that ‘cauliflower’ ear now. He’s VERY SHY… he has been this way for 10 years…BUT, this is the SWEETEST cat I have ever loved (I’ve had cats in my life for 60 years). He would love to have another playful cat to play with… he loves to play. My other cat has never wanted to bond with him & I have no idea why since I brought them home the same day. I would love to find a loving home & who can afford diabetes medicine because this cat has such a beautiful soul… so gentle & loving!!!!

Story
Huxley is a 6 year old loving boy that was born on a farm. He gets along well with other cats. He can be a scaredy cat, he is afraid of dogs, storms and wind. He loves to rub his head on you and always wants sleep with his people. His only behavior is when he gets too lonely, like being alone for the weekend, he pees by the door to communicate his loneliness. It only happens part of the time, but we can't find a pattern to correct the behavior. We love him dearly and would be great for someone who spends most of their time at home.

Story
Emi is an affectionate, cuddly cat. She looooves people and approaches them kindly and with purring. Emi does not love other animals, as she has had past cats chase and attack her. She gets scared and defensive and hisses when our dog tries to play with her too, although they do lay around in the same room or bed just fine. Still, she is best in a home without other pets. When she is stressed, she marks territory by urinating outside her litter box, usually in about the same area of the floor. I have carpet and unfortunately can’t afford to change to hard flooring to accommodate this. Emi gets annual vet visits. She had a teeth cleaning and one extraction last year, and her last checkup and shots were Oct. 31, 2025. I believe Emi needs a loving, cuddly owner without other pets to love on her in her senior years. If you have a heart for cats who need some attention and love cuddles, Emi may be perfect for your home. Let me know if you have questions or would like to meet her.

Story
Hexe is really sweet and gentle. She was a stray kitten in Los Angeles and we took her in and then moved her to Omaha with us when we finished college. Her name means “witch” in German and her birthday is in October. She’s a great, spooky girl! She is a little older, about 9 and is looking for someone to give her pets on the couch. She’s not aggressive with children, but is pretty stand-off ish with them. She might do better in a house with older kids who can play gently with her. We need to find her a new home due to our toddler’s allergies. No behavior issues.

Story
Luna is a beautiful black kitten with bright, curious eyes and the boldest personality. She’s playful, affectionate, and loves being close to her person. She’ll cuddle on your belly, curl up beside you, and follow you around like your tiny shadow. Luna is very gentle, great at entertaining herself, and loves exploring every corner of a room. She loves hair ties and knows how to play Fetch! She’s healthy, litter-trained, and still young enough to adapt easily to a new home and bond deeply with her new family. She does great with toys, loves head scratches, and has the cutest little moments. I love her so much, and the only reason I’m looking for a new home for her is because I’m moving and can’t take her with me. She deserves a safe, loving home where she can grow, play, and be adored. If you’re looking for a sweet, silly, affectionate kitten to brighten your days, Luna is waiting for you. 😊
