Story
Ralph is a great cat. He is snuggly and playful when he gets comfortable, but he is a scaredy cat that will need time to adjust. We're having trouble with him peeing on the dog beds and any laundry left on the floor and our attempts to get this behavior to stop hasn't worked, so we are looking to re-home him. Maybe someone with more experience or fewer cats can correct this.

Story
Oscar is such a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and rub his face on yours. He enjoys laying on the back of the couch and resting his legs over your shoulder. I love him so much. I need for him to have a good home. I can't keep him because my grandson is extremely allergic. I know he will make a great addition to your family.

Story
Took the kittens in at 7 days for a friend that agreed to find homes for them when they were old enough to be adopted. They are now 13 weeks and I still have them. I have other cats and can’t keep although I would love to. These girls are very smart and loving. They come to me and love to be pet and held and sleep in my lap or on the bed at night. The kittens also love to play a lot. They were born around April 5, came from a school yard where some kids disturbed them. The teacher thought the mother abandoned them so she brought them to me. I’m sure the mother was going to come back and care for them so I wish they hadn’t disturbed them. Now they need new homes where they will be fed and warm in the winter, loved and have a family.

Story
Loki is about 3 yrs old. I took him in to help out a friend and I’ve realized I’m just not a cat person. Loki loves to sleep, lay in Amazon boxes, and chill in his cat tree. He digs cat nip and scratch pads. He is looking for a home that will love him and treat him right. He loves people and I believe he used to live with other cats so he may enjoy siblings to play with.

Story
Benny ls a young adult cat, almost half a year old. He’s such a kind and loving cat, he’s talkative loves attention and cuddling on top of or near legs and chest. Any cat food is fine for him he has no favorite and would be happy with a small or large home/family. He is a house cat and has not experienced being outside, would likely need a good amount of attention.

Story
Red Velvet is a very sweet and loving boy to humans. He has issues with my other male cat. He is around 3 years old and I have had him for about a year. He has started fighting more with my other male cat but he gets along great with my two female cats. I just want to make sure that he goes to a loving home as he is a good cat, but I can’t keep him in a home where he is starting issues with one of my other cats. He does have a heart murmur but we are not sure if it was something he was born with or developed.

Story
Echo is a sweet boy who was adopted from us as a kitten. He has come back to find the best new home to support his new diet. This 4 year old was given a clean bill of health from the vet, and provided he stays in a low stress environment with his urinary support food we expect no reason for their to be any issues going forward. The crystals are long gone, and he is ready to cuddle into your heart. The adoption fee is $125 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures.    Please note, we do NOT allow declawing of any cat or kitten that we adopt out, unless deemed medically necessary.  We will gladly provide you with alternative methods of managing cats with claws.   **We are currently operating by appointment only. If you would like to meet this pet, and are interested in adopting, please fill out an application here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/12536/generic After you have submitted an application and been approved, a Cat Team member will reach out to set up a “meet and greet” between you and the pet. The introduction between you and the pet will be supervised by one of the cat team members or the foster. If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit.** Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission ##708021##

Story
Snowball and Kirby are both loving and friendly gentlemen looking for a new home.  Their elderly owner is ill and no longer able to care for them.  Snowball and Kirby are usually calm and enjoy being around people.  They are a little shy at first, but will eventually warm up.  Their perfect home would be with adults that have lots of love to give them! The suggested adoption donation for Snowball and Kirby is $75 for both, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
