Story
Meet Allison! ❤️ She’s 6 years old now, her birthday is ON Valentine’s Day (because she’s an absolute sweetheart). She loves to cuddle, loves to play. Shy at first but very vocal and bossy when she’s hungry. It’s adorable! All in all she’s the perfect cat: very low maintenance, so chill and affectionate, greets you at the door once she’s comfortable, good with kids. She even travels well. She’s lived with other cats before but it costs her a lot to warm up. Dogs are a no. I’d say my little diva would do best as an only pet. She wants all the love.

Story
Ralph is a great cat. He is snuggly and playful when he gets comfortable, but he is a scaredy cat that will need time to adjust. We're having trouble with him peeing on the dog beds and any laundry left on the floor and our attempts to get this behavior to stop hasn't worked, so we are looking to re-home him. Maybe someone with more experience or fewer cats can correct this.

Story
Oscar is such a sweet boy. He loves to cuddle and rub his face on yours. He enjoys laying on the back of the couch and resting his legs over your shoulder. I love him so much. I need for him to have a good home. I can't keep him because my grandson is extremely allergic. I know he will make a great addition to your family.

Story
Benny ls a young adult cat, about a year old. He is such a kind and loving cat, he is talkative loves attention and cuddling on top of or near legs and chest. Any cat food is fine for him he has no favorite and would be happy with a small or large home/family. He is a house cat and has not experienced being outside, would likely need a good amount of attention.

Story
Kaylee is amazing people cat and would be ideal for a single pet home. She's a healthy indoor cat who is very affectionate without being clingy, demonstrating her love with big purrs and rolling around on the carpet, and recently she's taken to curling up on people's laps. She's a big fan of interactive play. Kaylee is very well behaved around people, apart from not getting along with other animals, which is why after many attempts we have no remaining options but to rehome her (so no other cats or dogs, and we're not sure about very small children). We're invested in finding her a loving single pet home and can give a lot of information about her preferences. Story
Snowball and Kirby are both loving and friendly gentlemen looking for a new home.  Their elderly owner is ill and no longer able to care for them.  Snowball and Kirby are usually calm and enjoy being around people.  They are a little shy at first, but will eventually warm up.  Their perfect home would be with adults that have lots of love to give them! The suggested adoption donation for Snowball and Kirby is $75 for both, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
