Story
Meet handsome Wilmer! He's a striking tabby with a full, round face and gorgeous green eyes. Wilmer has a remarkable story and we consider him extremely lucky. Wilmer showed up on a volunteer's deck in early January. He was friendly and looking for food. Realizing Wilmer was not like the unsociable farm cats in the neighborhood, he was taken inside. Shortly after Wilmer's rescue, his foster parents removed two steel BBs lodged barely under his skin. Upon closer examination, more BBs were discovered and he was seen by our vets. X-rays revealed Wilmer had been shot 5 times and while one BB was easily removed under surgery, the others are located in deep muscle tissue making them risky to remove. While Wilmer is extremely outgoing, friendly and playful, he carries the trauma of being mistreated. Because of this, he needs an experienced family or person. Wilmer is exceptionally curious and wants to investigate anything new. He is extremely playful and loves any interactive toy, but can entertain himself for hours. Wilmer loves chin rubs and doesn't mind being picked up. Wilmer does not get along well with the other cats in his foster home and given his background, we are recommending he be the only cat in a home. We think he might be tolerant of an easy going dog, but he has a tendency to be aggressive towards other cats. We also don't recommend him for a family with young children or a couple intending to include him in a future family. Wilmer is a special dude, but he is going to be a work in progress because he was injured by people early in his life. Wilmer is about 1 year old, neutered, up to date with yearly vaccinations and negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. For more information about Wilmer, please email Lori at apcatrescue@gmail.com

Story
Oscar needs a good home. He lives with me along with his sister (Gracie, which I would like him to be adopted with), his Mom and Dad, and his Auntie Li’lbitz (my other four cats). I would like him to go to a good home because I feel like my attention is spread too thin amongst the five of them and I work 5-6 days a week. I live in a small apartment and it’s also a bit too cramped with five cats. I love him dearly. I’ve raised him very well, feeding him the best raw chicken and rabbit and giving him all the love I can muster. He’s the sweetest boy. Not a mean bone in his body. He is a bit on the shy side, but if you take your time with him he will love and trust you. He lets me hold him like a baby and rub his nose. He also likes when I dance with him when I have the music playing. He’s a big, long boy with a long tail. He loves to eat too! He likes to go outside sometimes (supervised) and climb the trees. He never leaves the yard and always comes in the house when I tell him to.

Story
Gracie is two years old and sweet as pie. Gracie has a brother, Oscar, who is also listed on adoptapet.com. It’s my hopes that they can be adopted together. Like her brother, Gracie is shy. She is sensitive to fast movements and loud noises. Gracie does suffer from occasional seizures. I have counted 4 since she was born. When she does come to you she likes to give head-butts and little kisses. Gracie lets me hold her, but she prefers not to be held. She doesn’t like to be off of her feet for too long. Gracie and Oscar both like to go outside sometimes. In the fall Gracie likes to talk to the leaves as they fall to the ground. She is fascinated by this. Both Oscar and Gracie come in the house when I call them, and they are never left unattended while outdoors. They are well trained, fed, and loved by me. They both have quite the appetite! Gracie is my little twinkle-toes. She is very special to me and it will be hard for me to part with her.

Story
Evie will be shy at first but once she trusts you she will be your best friend and snuggle you any chance she gets. I would prefer her to be an only pet where she can thrive. She would also do ok with 1 other girl cat. She currently has other cats and a dog that she does not get along with anymore. She is 4 years old and is chipped and spayed. We rescued her as a kitten from the arl. She really is a sweetheart and it breaks my heart but she is no longer happy here. I just want her to have a loving home where she can be happy.

Story
My husband and me got her in 2018 when I returned home from overseas and my husband was on the road a lot for work. When we got her we were strongly advised that she was a one pet household only. We tested this theory out once at a friends place who also had a cat and immediately saw the reason why :-). We started having children in 2020 and schedules became very busy. She has not gotten the attention she has deserved over the years and although she is used to our toddlers by now, I feel like she lives her life mostly in hiding from them when we are home. She does shed quite a bit but I believe its partly because we dont brush her regularly like we should, again due to busy schedules. We would really like her to go to a home where she can be free from toddlers and receive the TLC that she deserves. If you adopt her, you will be given everything you need for her. Her pellet litter box, her travel bag, her bed, all her brushes, shampoos, toys, lasers, food/water bowls, food, etc!

Story
Cupid is super sweet to everyone he meets. He adores cuddles, belly rubs, napping on laps and cuddling up next to his cat playmates. He would do best with other cats since he has lived with them and always had a playmate or cuddle buddy. He was found on the street by someone walking their dog and delivered to the foster home in a taped up box.
