Marmalade is a loving, energetic young cat who would thrive in a home where he can receive love often. Sweet boy is 2 years old and does well with cats and kids. He doesn't mind dogs, but doesn't like playing with them. He loves chasing a laser and will make you laugh when he catches a case of the zoomies. When he isn't playing he loves to be snuggled and even carried like a baby, and will show you his love by purring loud enough for everyone to hear.

Fox is 6 yr old. He is an indoor/outdoor. During the winter he is mostly inside but as soon as weather is nicer outside, he enjoys being outside. We live in a private wooded lot so it has been safe for him to be outside. He uses a pet door to have access to the outside. We never kept a litter box for him but has used it before when he had to be inside for a while. He is independent but loves to be around people. He is not very cuddly but likes to be petted…. In his own terms. He is very clean and we trained him to only lay where we have a blanket for him. He is used to sleeping in the garage at night where he also has his bed, food and water. He loves our dog but has been spooked by other dogs before & left him hesitant to enter the house for days. His ideal home would be where he can be indoor/outdoors.

Maverick is three years old and can be an extremely sweet boy. We adopted him from Loving Care Cat Rescue with his sister. Sadly, his sister was diagnosed with cancer and passed in 2023. Maverick is house trained, and loves a good place to snuggle, especially a warm lap. When feeling playful, however, he can be aggressive. He has swiped at people when playing, can be very rambunctious and will let you know when he has had enough pets. We are looking for a patient, caring home or an experienced pet owner- preferably without children and other pets at this time.

Secret was found when he was a few days old in our back yard. When he was old enough and weened, we brought him inside to socialize him to people. Now at a year old, Secret spends his time enjoying a good scratch and lounging in the cat tree by the window. He absolutely loves people, and he gets along well with our oldest cat. Secret is very playful with other cats, so it would be best for him to find a home with someone that matches his energy. We are willing to negotiate the adoption fee, if needed.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application.The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!I am the sweetest little girl EVER!  I didn't have anyone love me and I found myself pregnant and alone. I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs.
