She is a beautiful and independent girl who loves napping on the couch, exploring outside during the summertime, and being the neighborhood watch from the windowsill. She wants pets and scratches to be on her own terms, and she will quickly warm up to you if you are chill. She does not want constant attention but will curl up next to you on a quiet evening. She would make a lovely companion. She would be best with a small household or with children who are old enough to understand boundaries.

Sophie is a cute, cuddly 8-year-old female cat whose elderly owner has to move into a hospice facility in January 2026. She had a rough kittenhood on the streets but as an adult has settled into domestic life. Sophie is healthy and has been receiving annual vet care. Unfortunately, her owner, in declining physical health and also caring for a second cat that has bullied Sophie, has been neglecting to provide Sophie with a clean litter box of her own, which has resulted in some litter box avoidance. Ideally, Sophie needs an experienced cat owner who provide her with a clean litter box and be a little patient as she adjusts back to a proper litter protocol. Sophie's sweet personality will reward you with lots of love and affection!

Her current owner is elderly and must move into a hospice in January 2026, so she needs a new home as soon as possible. Cassandra is a mature, independent, and undemanding girl who will serenely watch you go about your daily activities from her favorite perch. She is a bit territorial when it comes to other cats, so she would do best in a household where she is the only cat. Cassandra is healthy, active, and has been receiving annual vet checks. Shadow showed up on my daughter’s porch. Her and her husband do TNR and neighbors know it. This beautiful regal lady was way too friendly to be a feral. But they caught her right away and took her to be neutered and her shots. Daughter and husband have three cats already so I offered to foster her until we find a furever home for her. I was hoping it would have been with me, I think she is about a year old….still has a lot of playing to do. Oh, and she is very inquisitive about everything! I have adopted a 7 year old lady recently and Shadow is just too much for her. I have had to separate them, doing room swapping. My little girl is afraid of Shadow. 😞 It has become urgent to rehome her now due to my medical issues and upcoming surgeries.

Benny is an adult British Shorthair/Arabian Mau mixed cat. His original owner left him outside in Kuwait and a rescue group there took him in. He arrived to Lancaster in November and he is now ready to find a home! Benny is a happy and easy going cat who loves attention and loves to talk to you. He gets along very well with other cats.
