American Shorthair kittens & cats in Columbia, Pennsylvania

Josie has been our family's kitty friend for several years now. She is a beautiful and independent girl who loves napping on the couch, exploring outside during the summertime, and being the neighborhood watch from the windowsill. She wants pets and scratches to be on her own terms, and she will quickly warm up to you if you are chill. She does not want constant attention but will curl up next to you on a quiet evening. She would make a lovely companion. She would be best with a small household or with children who are old enough to understand boundaries.

Moo is a sweet cat that we have had since she was a kitten. She loves people, other cats and dogs. We are moving out of state and unfortunately cannot take her. We want her to go to a good and loving home.

Junie is a very sweet girl. She’s 7 yrs old . She was moved from her home to another and became stressed around my other cats. She needs to be in a home with no other cats or just 1 other.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! I am the sweetest little girl EVER!  I didn't have anyone love me and I found myself pregnant and alone. I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. Sophie is a cute, cuddly 8-year-old female cat whose elderly owner has to move into a hospice facility in January 2026. She had a rough kittenhood on the streets but as an adult has settled into domestic life. Sophie is healthy and has been receiving annual vet care. Unfortunately, her owner, in declining physical health and also caring for a second cat that has bullied Sophie, has been neglecting to provide Sophie with a clean litter box of her own, which has resulted in some litter box avoidance. Ideally, Sophie needs an experienced cat owner who provide her with a clean litter box and be a little patient as she adjusts back to a proper litter protocol. Sophie's sweet personality will reward you with lots of love and affection!
