Story
I adopted Newman when he was just a little baby. He was the only black kitty there and I knew I had to have him. He is the funniest most unique cat I’ve ever met. The way he plays, the way he communicates with all his weird sounds he makes. He always wants to be around you, there isn’t one place I go that he isn’t following my every footstep. It is not an easy decision for me to have to rehome him. But due to his behavioral issues I am not able to keep him anymore. I have went to the vet on many occasions and I don’t have enough money to keep trying to find out why he just won’t stop peeing on specific things. I am also moving and cannot take him with me. I would be sooo so happy if he could go to a loving home. He deserves it.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!I am the sweetest little girl EVER!  I didn't have anyone love me and I found myself pregnant and alone. I was scared and I had no where to go. I had my babies alone under a deck :(  Finally someone saw me and my babies and called 2nd Chance, but unfortunately by then I had lost one of my babies :(  Now my 3 other little ones and me are safe in the arms of 2nd Chance. I'm spayed, housetrained, had my shots and am super sweet. I love kids but I am not fond of dogs. I can tolerate cats but would prefer to be an only pet. I am ready for someone to love me FUREVERVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!October 14, 2024, 6:08 pm

Story
Hudson is our first baby. We have been through a lot together as a family with adding a dog and 3 kids over the past 12 years. Hudson will be 12 on June 1st. He does use the litter box but does occasionally go outside of the litter box when his anxiety is heightened. He has previously been on medication for it. Unfortunately we lost our home to a fire in March and have struggled to find housing that will accept pets. He has been staying with my brother in-law temporarily but has recently started to pee outside the litter box. As hard as it is for us unfortunately we have to find him a new home quickly because my brother in-law doesn’t want him having accidents since he has 2 other cats. Hudson was always good around our kids and our dog but he does have trust issues with adults. We have a 3 pet rule when guests would pet him before he would go to bite them. He has recently lost a lot of weight that we are seeing the vet about.
