Story
Bayi is an incredibly affectionate and sweet cat who I rescued back in January from a neglectful situation (locked up in a room and only interacted with to be fed once daily). He loves to be held, scratched under the neck, and cuddling right up in your face. I think he would do well in a home with no other animals, specifically no cats, as he thrives being a solo pet. The negatives have been his behavioral issues. When bringing him home, I spent a month introducing him to my cats and keeping them separated. This only slightly bettered his aggressive, bullying behavior. While the aggression towards people was gone in days, you can tell he just cannot get along with other cats. Overall he is a "naughty", stereotypical cat. He loves to jump on things he shouldn't, knock everything over, and absolutely will seek out and tear open any bag that has food or treats in it. I'd love to keep him, but it's not worth stressing him and our cats out for. Fee is to make sure he goes to a good home.

Max was adopted as a kitten. He has predominantly been an outdoor cat. That is where the problem stems. As part of a divorce, Max came with me but had to adapt to apartment life. After trying for over 2 years to find a way to give him what he needs to be happy, I can't afford to do it anymore. He is outrageously affectionate which makes this very difficult. He only wants to potty outside and won't adapt to a litter box. He will pee everywhere else indoors though. He really needs to be able to go outside to be happy

We are seeking a new home for a bonded pair of male American shorthair cats. They are not siblings, but met as kittens in the shelter from which we adopted them. They are both neutered and micro-chipped and up-to-date on their shots, and had a vet check-up recently (they are healthy.) They are relaxed, indoor cats and get along well with each other. Ollie is full of personality and loves to play. Shoofly is very serious about watching birds and squirrels out the window. They get along well with children and adults and will snooze on each other and on humans' laps. They confine their scratching almost entirely to their scratch posts. The behavior we haven't been able to keep ahead of is marking. Ollie and Shoofly would be good pets for someone who enjoys cats with engaging personalities and who would have the time and willingness to work on the marking behavior.

Kiki was abandoned by her owner and taken in by a KARE volunteer. She is up to date on vaccines and spayed. Kiki prefers to be the only pet in the house cause she wants all the snuggles for herself. She is sweet and would love a home with one or two adults. She is not good at sharing a home with other pets, they scare her. and she will reward you with all of her love.

We have a BONDED pair of kitties needing a home. Keeping them together is absolutely non-negotiable. We will only consider homes willing to adopt both of them. Astraea FEMALE (Born April 3, 2025) Black Domestic Shorthair Astraea is the complete opposite of Apollo in many ways. She is incredibly easygoing, affectionate, and adaptable. She loves attention and is happy to be held, cuddled, and handled throughout the day. She is one of the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet. She also isn’t a fan of belly rubs, but instead of getting upset, she’ll usually start licking your hand to politely tell you she’s had enough. Astraea is a constant purr machine and loves being around her people. Her favorite toys are pom-pom balls and string toys, and she’ll proudly carry them around the house like little treasures. She has a playful and loving personality that wins over everyone she meets. Please note she must go with Apollo (they are $200 together) and will come with all their supplies.

Story
This cat's ideal home would be as an indoor/outdoor cat, hopefully somewhere with a bigger property where he can help with mouse/rat control. Tux was lost and hungry when he wandered to my house at about 1 year of age. I learned he'd been raised then abandoned in an unregulated cat environment and then spent several weeks lost and hunting on his own before I adopted him. That was four years ago. He's been a great cat, very affectionate once he knows you, gets along well with my cats and visitors, pets etc. Until recently he was able to go outside, but a neighbor is strongly objecting to Tux crossing his property. I have been trying to train him to be a fully indoor cat. He's doing great with house training, but still is very unhappy unless he can go outside some times during the day and night. He'd be a great addition to a caring home, with property.
