COURTESY POST- contact GINA at (310) 903-0470♥️🩵Subject: Deuce’s Story – A Sweet Boy Still Waiting for His Real ChanceI wanted to share Deuce’s story as well, because he truly deserves to finally find the stable and loving home he has never really had.Deuce originally came into West Valley Animal Shelter around September 2025 with his brother, Deebo (now Scooby). From what volunteers understood, the brothers had likely been used for breeding and were reportedly being advertised on Craigslist before being surrendered. The shelter was told the dogs had been fighting, yet neither dog showed injuries or signs consistent with fighting. Both participated in playgroups and were doing well. They quickly became volunteer favorites because of how sweet, affectionate, and loving they were with people. As often happens in overcrowded shelters, both dogs were placed on the euthanasia list after only a short time despite being good dogs.Deuce was eventually pulled from the shelter by an older woman named Carol after someone falsely claimed they would come pick him up “in a few days.” Unfortunately, it turned out this individual had allegedly done the same thing with multiple dogs through social media. Carol stepped in to help temporarily, and because she cared about him so much, she continued pseudo-fostering him to keep him safe.Since October of last year, Deuce has remained in that situation. Carol is kind-hearted and genuinely loves him, but due to his size and strength, she is limited in what she can physically manage. As a result, Deuce spends most of his time living in a backyard kennel area. We are told he occasionally goes to daycare, although we are not fully sure of the details. One beautiful thing is that every Sunday, a lovely lady Natalia takes him out for a few hours to Orcutt Ranch and adoption events so he can experience the world outside of confinement, get affection, and simply be a dog for a little while. And despite everything, Deuce remains an incredibly sweet and loving boy.He is strong, but gentle. He absolutely loves affection, hugs, and kisses. Once he warms up, he walks nicely on leash and enjoys being close to his people. At the shelter, volunteers spent a great deal of time working with both brothers, and Deuce had learned several commands and structure routines. Unfortunately, because of his current living situation, much of that consistency has been difficult to maintain. The biggest thing Deuce needs now is not perfection — it is stability, guidance, structure, exercise, and someone willing to truly invest in him. He has spent so much of his life surviving uncertainty, yet he continues to show love and trust toward people. He deserves more than a kennel and occasional outings. He deserves a real home, real leadership, and a real chance to finally decompress and thrive.Thank you for taking the time to read his story and care about these dogs.

Story
Piper is a young dog looking for an active home. She is very smart and walks perfectly on a leash. Piper knows many commands and is easy to train. She's fully house trained. Although Piper is being fostered with other dogs and cats, Piper needs to be an only dog. She's fine walking past other dogs on the street, but needs a home of her own. She is very playful, smart and loving. In the right home, Piper will be an easy dog. She'll do best with someone who has had a big dog in the past, but no current dogs. Piper does best with structure, and loves to learn. She is a healthy, happy young girl. We had her spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. If you live in the Southern California area and would like to meet Piper, please complete our adoption application found on dexterfoundation.com

Story
✅ Currently located in South Korea ✅ 💟 Available to fly to LAX💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Mina 💞 💙 Adogs Center Account: @*adogs* 1️⃣ Health Condition • Spayed. • Microchipped and heartworm negative. • Has some hyperpigmentation on her skin, possibly due to irritation caused by allergies, but she has no health issues! • After experiencing periodic vomiting and weight loss, she underwent a check-up and is now on a managed allergy diet. The exam showed no other health issues, and as long as the allergy-specific formula is fed, there are no abnormal symptoms. 2️⃣ Rescue Story Mina was brought to the Gimje City Shelter and was very scared of people for unknown reasons. Due to this, she would be earlier at risk of being put on the euthanasia list, which led us to urgently rescue her. 3️⃣ Basic Information With People Tends to be wary of strangers, especially when someone unfamiliar enters her personal space, like her kennel or the playground area. However, when treats are involved, she becomes more active and circles around with interest. Once on a leash, she becomes a bit more reserved but still allows physical contact. With familiar people, she’s quiet and gentle — she doesn’t avoid them or show any signs of aggression. Doesn't refuse full-body touch, though she’s not the type to particularly enjoy it. Is a cautious little friend who shows affection in subtle ways, like gently touching noses when greeting or receiving treats. With Dogs Gets along well with other dogs. Is curious with new dogs and greets them with sniffs. Doesn’t fight and gets along well with familiar dogs, while she doesn’t pay particular attention to other dogs. With Cats Due to high excitability, she requires careful supervision around cats. When she sees a cat, she will attempt to chase them, often by climbing the exercise yard’s wire fencing or dashing directly toward them. Separation Anxiety Not confirmed since she’s living in a communal environment at our center. Sleeps in a kennel and relaxes even when alone at our center. May need training from scratch if she lives in a family home. Potty Training Goes outdoor potty while residing at our center. Prefers potty outside but makes occasional mistakes in her kennel while trying to hold in it. Hygiene Stays still during human touch. Accepts baths and brushing nicely. Is patient enough to have her nail trimmed once her paws are firmly held. Walks Isn’t used to walks and finds them awkward. Recently through training, she walks well in areas she’s comfortable with but pulls on the leash in areas where she’s uncomfortable. Follows along well if she walks with another helper dog. Leans her rear against her friend to find comfort. Doesn’t chase other animals on walks. Barking Barks when she’s wary of strangers and when she wants something, especially when she gets impatient and wants it faster! Likes Prefers treats over toys. Dislikes Is scared of uncomfortable places, people and collars. Personality Has a timid and quiet personality. Possesses an independent, cat-like nature. The adorable charm and smiles she occasionally reveals from within that demeanor are her unique appeal points.
