Story
RUBEN – Male Pharaoh Hound/Staffy Mix | Born 7/30/2024 | 35 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Meet Ruben, the handsome, bright-eyed boy who’s equal parts sunshine and snuggles! With his expressive ears and a smile that can melt any heart, Ruben brings warmth and joy wherever he goes. He’s playful, social, and absolutely adores being around people. Whether he’s trotting proudly on a walk, chasing his favorite toy, or curling up beside you for a nap, Ruben’s happiness shines through. This boy loves to explore the world but also loves a good cuddle just as much — the perfect mix of energy and affection. Breed Info: The Pharaoh Hound is known for its elegance, intelligence, and playful spirit — one of the oldest and most striking breeds in history. Combined with the Staffy’s loyal and affectionate nature, Ruben’s mix makes him a devoted, joyful, and fun-loving companion. He’s smart, eager to please, and has the heart of a true family dog who will bring endless love and laughter to his home. Owner Responsibilities: Ruben will thrive with an owner who values routine, kindness, and active companionship. He’ll need regular walks, mental stimulation, and time to bond with his people. Continue positive training, provide a balanced diet, and give him the love and patience he deserves — and you’ll have a best friend for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting: Before bringing Ruben home, take a moment to reflect on what it truly means to adopt: Do you have time for daily walks, play, and attention? Are your living arrangements stable, and is your landlord pet-friendly? Are you ready for the financial responsibility of food, vet care, and grooming? Do you have a secure yard or plan to provide structured exercise? Are you ready to commit for his lifetime — through moves, life changes, and all the love-filled years ahead? A dog isn’t just a pet — he’s family. Make sure you’re ready for forever. Vet Care: Ruben is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Even though he’s in great shape, it’s important to take him to your trusted vet soon after adoption to establish ongoing care and keep him thriving for years to come. The 3-3-3 Rule & Commitment for Life: The first 3 days are for decompressing — everything is new, so give him space, comfort, and reassurance. The first 3 weeks are when he’ll start learning your home, your routine, and your heart. The first 3 months are when trust blossoms, and he’ll know he’s truly home. Remember: adoption is a lifetime promise. Be patient, love deeply, and you’ll watch him bloom into his best self. Why Ruben Would Be a Great Addition: Ruben has a heart as golden as his sleek coat. He’s that once-in-a-lifetime companion — loyal, funny, affectionate, and endlessly grateful. He’ll fill your home with joy, laughter, and the kind of love that only a rescue dog can give. Every wag of his tail says, “thank you for believing in me.” If you’re ready to be his forever person, Ruben is ready to fill your life with love. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
This precious bonded pair of senior dogs needs a new hone ASAP! Their owner has lost his home and is completely out of options. He is devastated and, out of fear of them ending up in a shelter and suffering that trauma in their golden years, he is considering humane euthanasia. These sweet babies do not deserve for their story to end this way. They deserve warmth, love, soft beds, gentle care, and the chance to spend their final years feeling safe and cherished together. Please, if anyone can foster, adopt this bonded pair immediately, their lives truly depend on it. We are racing against time to find them a safe place before it’s too late. Even if somebody can foster them just for 1 months while their owner gets back on his feet it would be beyond appreciated!! You could be the reason they are saved. Please help us give these seniors, the ending they deserve, not the one they are facing right now. 💔🥺🙏

Story
Your Wiggly, Green-Eyed Adventure Buddy, Who Sleeps Like a Tiny Donut Hole. Meet Teddy. Soft taupe-brindled fur. Sparkly green eyes that stop people in their tracks. Expressive, aware, and deeply attuned to the humans around him, Teddy doesn’t just live with you; he connects with you. He is the perfect family companion. He’s wiggly in the best way — full-body, can’t-contain-himself happy when he sees his people. He’s proudly human-attached. If you move, he moves. If you’re heading out the door, he’s ready to ride shotgun. If you sit down, he’s right there beside you. He loves: • Car rides • Sunshine naps • Exploring new places • Being your loyal shadow. And when bedtime comes? This handsome brindled boy folds himself into the tiniest, tightest little ball — like a donut hole, a bouncy ball, a soft marble tucked into blankets. It’s almost magical how small he can make himself. He’s very well-trained and genuinely wants to please. He can be goofy and occasionally forgets his size, so older kids who can respect his space would be best. When Teddy bonds, he bonds deeply. He gives his whole heart. Teddy is three years old, 55 pounds, fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, and in excellent health. He is ready for his forever person (family), someone who sees the adventure buddy, the cuddle bug, and the soulful green-eyed companion all in one. If you’ve been waiting for a dog who feels like a true partner in life… Teddy might be your guy. To learn more about this incredible boy, please submit an inquiry.

Story
💔 How many times can one dog lose the people he loves?About a year ago, this sweet senior boy was found tied up in an alley with his sister. They were taken to the shelter, and while she was adopted right away, he was left behind. Then something beautiful happened. A wonderful couple in their 80s opened their hearts and gave him the love he had always deserved. For the past year, he was their constant companion, their best friend, and their family. They adored him.But life had other plans. When they recently had to move into assisted living, they weren't allowed to bring him. They held him, kissed him, and sobbed as they said goodbye. Now, at 8 years old, he is looking for a family once again. He is sweet, calm, affectionate, and happiest simply being near his people. He would do best as the only pet so he can be the center of someone's world. More than anything, he needs someone who is home most of the time or loves taking their dog along for life's adventures.

These pups are in Inglewood, California too!

Story
Brownie COH is a 2 year old neutered male Puggle and Boxer Mix with a warm, easygoing charm and a personality that feels instantly familiar—like he’s always been part of the room. Found by animal control in Hawthorne, he arrived with an “unplanned adventure” behind him, but he’s kept his outlook simple: be kind, stay curious, and see who’s ready to be your friend. He’s got a fun, wiggly spirit when he’s engaged, then settles into a steady, mellow presence that makes him easy to be around. Brownie isn’t demanding the spotlight—he just naturally earns attention with his sweet expression and relaxed confidence. He’s the kind of dog who fits into everyday life without complication: a walk buddy, a couch companion, a quiet comfort at the end of the day. Brownie is simple in the best way—good energy, good heart, good dog. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Please note a Petfinder and Adoptapet Inquiry is not applying for the dog. You have to come to the event or send an email inquiry to our records email.

Story
Kia is an amazing girl. She is a German Shepard Boxer mix! This girl is still young and she is eager to please and ready to learn! She was in training for a while and knows her basic commands! She is also crate trained! Kia is ready for a family that is going to take her on lots of adventures! She loves to get out and see the world and would thrive with an active family! She is good with large & medium dogs, people, and kids! She is looking for a foster home or her forever family. Kia Lia is amazing with everyone and she gets along well with large and medium dogs, unfortunately not so well with small dogs.  If you are interested in adopting me, please go to the Ozzie and Friends website https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.or g March 7, 2026, 9:30 am
