Story
Cooper is the best boy ever. He is approx 7 years old and was a rescue pup from Louisiana. I adopted him in 2017 from a kill shelter and have pampered him ever since. Cooper is extremely low maintenance and spends most of his day lounging, sleeping or playing outside. He also loves walks and toys. He is independent and dos his own thing most of the time but he does obey commands well. Cooper does not have any health issues. He can be standoffish at first and can be nervous around strangers especially men so he will need someone who can be patient with him while he adjusts. It breaks my heart to re-home Cooper and I would never do it if I wasn’t moving in with someone who has an aggressive big dog who will hurt Cooper. I am willing to take Cooper back if it doesn’t work out. Please someone give him love and patience please!!

Story
Grab your tissues! (No seriously, we're warning you - you will need them!) After presumably living her life on a chain (she was wearing a nasty, thick collar that was coated in dirt and filth that made it hard to remove), Annabelle was dumped in the overnight dropbox while in labor with TEN puppies. Poor momma had to deliver all by herself on the cold concrete floor overnight. We're just thankful she was left somewhere safe, temperature-controlled, with access to water, and where she would be found by loving humans who could help her! Despite her rough start and being abandoned at the most vulnerable time of her life, momma Annabelle was such a sweet girl and let the shelter staff handle her babies immediately - like she knew they were there to help. Annabelle was the BEST momma who took great care of her babies and always kept her area clean. Annabelle is treat motivated and knows how to sit and catch treats! She is a sweetheart who enjoys pets, short walks, catching hotdogs, and being safe and loved. This beautiful girl needs a home where she will be cherished as the true queen that she is and NEVER neglected or abandoned again! From her current foster (6/2024): "Annabelle is a loving pittie girl. She's super sweet and goofy! She loves her people and just wants to be with you. She loves toys and kongs. She always greets me with tapping toes and a toy In her mouth. She follows me around and "helps me with yard work. She does well with other dogs as well as integrated and adjusted with time. She likes calm dogs, and gets over excited with other energetic dogs. She gets zoomies when excited and it's so funny! Once I was sitting on the ground with her and she zoomie jumped right over my head. She always has a big goofy smile, it warms everyone's heart! Once comfortable she's very calm, and loves to nap! She's just looking for a forever understanding home where she can adjust and live a happy life as a companion! She bonds quickly to her people, and is a very loyal gal. She does have anxiety in the kennel while adjusting but settles with peanut butter kong." From her past foster: "Annabelle has no aversion to the crate, is slightly reactive to loud cars and bunnies but is doing better with it every day. She almost never barks and loves to cuddle all day! I'm absolutely in love with this dog and would recommend her to absolutely everyone! From her previous foster: "Annabelle is SUCH a sweet girl! She will steal your heart in no time. You can tell how caring she was as a mama because she is so gentle with things she loves (like her one special toy). She was very nervous at first but has become so brave and is becoming more comfortable in a home! She can still be nervous to go back outside but is working really hard on making sure she goes outside to go potty. She's getting so confident! She loves people and is usually interested in checking out other dogs as well. Annabelle raised her family and now is looking for a family of her own!! Annabelle is the sweetest girl and is definitely a velcro dog! If you are looking for a constant companion who will be incredibly loyal, dedicated, and want to always be by your side, Annabelle is your gal! Not every dog attends every adoption event. Interested in this pup? The first step is to complete our online application by clicking the "Apply for Adoption" button. Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Check our Instagram and/or Facebook page for info on where we will be hosting adoptions this weekend! All Aboard Animal Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high-kill shelters in other states. These pups are brought to Colorado, where they are required to be spayed or neutered - breaking the cycle of unwanted litters of puppies who end up as strays! Please consider supporting us in this mission by adopting, fostering, volunteering, or donating.

Story
When it comes to changing a life, it takes a village. Partnering with a local animal shelter and All Breed Rescue & Training, if we are able to find a foster for a girl named Sunshine, she comes with a village built-in! And you know if she has this many people who believe in her and the life she could have, she's something very special.  Found abandoned and terrified in the Denver area, “Sunny” is a beautiful 4yr old American Staff/Corso mix. Sunny was clearly abused and overbred, so, understandably, she is slow to warm up to new people, is still pretty afraid of most of the world and doesn’t trust other animals. However, once you win her over (which isn’t to hard to do with a few good treats), she will become your most loyal companion and will show you nothing but love, playfulness and an unbreakable bond.  The amazing All Breed Rescue & Training has offered to bring her into their program & care at their Colorado Springs facility, supporting both Sunny and her foster family. But this is only possible if Underdogs is able to find her a dedicated foster. Her foster home requirements are an adult only home as the only pup, in/near/willing to travel to CO Springs for potential in-person foster training, experience with large breed dogs/dogs with some fearfulness and mild reactivity, and who are committed long-term, if necessary. Sunny is truly an amazing dog and though it sounds like she has a lot stacked up against her, she has a whole network of support behind her to make sure she is successful in her new home. So many people would say "no" to a dog like Sunny, but we know her sunniest sides - everything that is loving, endearing and oh so darling - will warm the right heroes heart and help her overcome her heartbreaking past. If you feel you may be a good fit for Sunny and would like to be considered as her foster and/or foster to adopt, please fill out anapplication here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/.  Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!  ##1860728##
