Hi, I am Kona. I am a happy and energetic pup looking for a home. I like to run around and chew on toys. I have a good history with strangers and other dogs. I can be jumpy and mouthy when excited so I need a home without children under the age of 12. I would love to meet you.

Story
"Hi. I’m Stella! I’m basically the full package: beauty, brains, bounce, and just a touch of dramatic flair. At 62 pounds, I’m what you might call “athletic goddess meets goofball roommate.” I’m about a year old and my foster mom thinks I’m a pittie/boxer/mastiff mix! 💕 About Me I LOVE other dogs. Like… all of them. Big, small, fluffy, awkward — I’m your girl. I play hard, but I listen. If a dog says, “Hey Stella, that’s enough,” I’ll dial it back and be a polite lady. With humans? I’m a slow burn. I like to build suspense. I may play a little hard to get at first, but once I know you’re my person… buckle up. My personality is HUGE and you’ll never be bored again. 👶 Kid Policy I think kids 10+ are my vibe. I just need them to understand that I like to take things slow at first. Once we’re friends? I’m loyal for life. 🏃‍♀️ My Ideal Match You’re active. You like walks, hikes, adventures, maybe a little backyard zoomie time. I’m young and full of energy, and I’d love a family that’s excited to do life with me. 💪 Fun Fact (The Comeback Story) When I arrived in Colorado, I had a mystery broken hip. Plot twist: I’m healed now! I had surgery and don’t have a femoral head on one side, which just makes me unique. Think of it as a custom upgrade. It doesn’t slow me down from living my best life — it just makes me extra special edition. 🛋️ My Guilty Pleasure I may lie, cheat, and steal… I’ll lie right on top of you. I’ll cheat on you with any comfy couch. And I’ll steal your spot the second you stand up. But I do it in the absolute cutest way possible, so honestly, you’ll probably thank me. If you’re looking for: ✔️ A dog who loves other dogs ✔️ A big personality in a gorgeous 62-lb package ✔️ A loyal best friend once she trusts you ✔️ A comeback queen with a heart of gold Then congratulations. You just found your match." Stella is being fostered in Castle Rock, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/stella/. Story
Kona is a beautiful boxer mix who will be 3 years old this May. She is full of love, joy, and personality, and she has the biggest heart. She forms strong bonds with her people and truly just wants to be close to those she loves. She is a high-energy girl who needs space to run, play, and be herself, so a home with a backyard is very important for her. Kona would do best as the only pet where she can soak up all the love and attention, though a calm, small dog may be okay with the right match and slow introduction. She is house trained and crate trained. She would thrive in a home with a family or individual who is home most of the time and can give her the time, exercise, and companionship she needs. Kona is loyal, people-focused, and wants nothing more than to be someone’s constant companion. March 9, 2026, 3:20 pm

Story
Meet Kosher! No doubt his stunning eyes caught your attention, but his sweet and goofy personality is sure to win over your heart! Kosher is the definition of wiggly puppy butt, he is truly SO excited to make new friends! He's still learning how to channel his excitement, but he's eager to please and is an excellent student. This lively boy LOVES playing with other dogs, and would make an excellent companion for another playful dog (or even playful teens!). If Kosher had a resume, his special skills and certifications list would include: RTD (Rapid Toy Disembowelment), Communication (multi-species, dog and human!), CTS (Certified Treat Snuffler), and CGB (Certified Good Boy, duh!!). Whether it’s going for long walks, playing outside, or learning new things, Kosher is happiest when he has something to do and someone to do it with. With a dedicated family by his side, Kosher will grow into an incredible companion. He has so much potential and love to give, and he’s ready to find a home that will help him become the very best version of himself!

Story
Raya, Pitbull mix, 2 yrs., 42 lbs., Raya, a gentle and loving Pit Bull cross was that suffering from a gunshot wound. She was in pain, but her spirit shone through from the very beginning. Despite the trauma she endured, Raya greeted us with hope in her eyes and a wag of her tail, showing us she wanted to fight for her life. It was determined that her leg had to be amputated. Through it all, Raya’s sweet nature shines—she loves to see people and enjoys short walks, always eager for affection and encouragement. We are looking for a loving home that can offer her patience, understanding, and the chance to thrive as a tripod dog. She is good with other dogs but probably not really rambunctious dogs since her balance is not the best. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Hi! I`m Nova and I`m a fun loving pup who enjoys long walks, playing with toys and relaxing in the sun. I can be shy with new people but once I`m comfortable I am affectionate and love to jump up for attention. I have a good history with older kids and may do best in a home where I can be the only dog. If there are other dogs in the home I would love an in shelter meet and greet to make sure we are a good fit. I can`t wait to meet you!

Zeus, 10 yrs., 55lbs. Zeus is a sweet dog with a calm, easygoing nature. He enjoys simple things like quiet walks, soft spots to rest, and being nearby. Zeus has a gentle presence and a relaxed way about him that makes people feel comfortable. A good boy through and through, he brings a steady, pleasant vibe wherever he goes. Zeus is hoping to be pampered during his golden years and be at the center of his family’s attention. For this reason, he’s recommended for a home without other dogs. Zeus has been in a shelter for over as year that is not where a senior dog should spend the rest of his life. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385
