Warrior was found back in December on the side of a highway, very skinny, and dragging himself to the bushes. Unfortunately this guy had suffered a lot, and it is unknown what have caused the fracture on his back. He was tested positive for heartworm and thankfully we have done the complete treatment already. He is now finally neutered, cured, vaccinated, microchipped and all set to find a wonderful family to make him forget all the nightmare he had to endure in life. Warrior needs someone to teach him love! Someone that walk him at least 2 to 3 times a day on his wheelchair, and he can smell the flowers…He need to find love! Warrior would do better in a home where he is the only child, and only with adults. Since he cannot walk, makes him to be frustrated when there is too much noise, or other animals running around. Cooper is a big squishy boy who loves nothing more than pressing himself into your arms for the best hugs imaginable. This handsome guy is incredibly smart and received extensive professional training through Magic City K9, an organization that accepted Cooper into their unique program focused on giving both dogs and people a second chance to thrive. As part of this program, Cooper lived with his trainer at Everglades Correctional Facility in Miami, where inmates and dogs work together to build skills, confidence, and brighter futures.Thanks to this experience, Cooper has learned over 40 commands and truly enjoys using his brain. He made friends with many of the dogs in his training class, though he does best with proper introductions when meeting new canine pals. While Cooper is a total softie once he knows you, he can be a bit nervous around strangers, so he needs time to build trust. A lower-traffic home where he can settle in at his own pace would be ideal. Cooper is about 4 years old, weighs 65 pounds, and is made up of pure American Bulldog snuggles. There really is no hug like a Cooper hug. Now that his training is complete, Cooper is back at Abandoned Pet Rescue, patiently waiting for a loving forever home to call his own. Meet Hank, affectionately known as Wrinkle Daddy! A loyal and snuggly eight-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier currently living in Durham, NC, whose big fawn-colored frame holds an even bigger heart for humans. Hank is the ultimate blend of couch potato and outdoor enthusiast! While he enjoys his daily walks and the occasional hike (especially if there's a scenic sniff spot involved), his true happy place is curled up next to someone under a cozy blanket. Yep, this 70-pound gentleman will politely ask to join you under the covers, he’s got a PhD in snuggling and isn't afraid to use it! Thanks to professional board-and-train experience, Hank knows his basics like “sit,” “down,” “place,” and “leave it,” and he’s especially tuned in when treats are involved. He’s crate-trained, house-trained, and has no trouble staying calm when left alone for short periods. Hank responds well to calming chews and joint supplements that support his comfort as he ages. Because Hank’s heart is big, he sometimes struggles with sharing it. Over time, he has displayed escalating aggression toward other animals in the house. This has included lunging, attempts to attack, and unfortunately, a serious incident where he bit the family cat. While he’s affectionate with people, including showing protective interest in his guardian’s infant, he is not compatible with other dogs or cats.
