Story
Dexter is a 3-year-old mixed breed who was found months ago emaciated and roaming the streets. He has spent the past few months in foster care getting lots of love and putting on weight. He’s thriving at 90 plus pounds right now. He is healthy, neutered, up to date on all his vaccines and ready for his forever home. He’s a big goofball that loves to play and is a lapdog at heart who would love to sit on you and give you kisses. He’s a friendly boy who gets along well with people and as seen in the photos, loves playing with other dogs. Because of his size, if he is going to have a sibling, a larger dog would be recommended. He does walk well on a leash and does great in car rides.  He is crate-trained, but his ideal spot would be snuggling on a couch with his forever human. Apply to adopt Dexter today to give this goofball the permanent love he deserves. Adoption fee is sponsored and includes a veterinarian visit, deworming, age appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and microchip lifetime registration. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://ufarescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee is sponsored. Warrior  was found back in December on the side of a highway, very skinny, and dragging himself to the bushes. Unfortunately this guy had suffered a lot, and it is unknown what have caused the fracture on his back. He was tested positive for heartworm and thankfully we have done the complete treatment already. He is now finally neutered, cured, vaccinated, microchipped and all set to find a wonderful family to make him forget all the nightmare he had to endure in life. Warrior needs someone to teach him love! Someone that walk him at least 2 to 3 times a day on his wheelchair, and he can smell the flowers…He need to find love! Warrior would do better in a home where he is the only child, and only with adults. Since he cannot walk, makes him to be frustrated when there is too much noise, or other animals running around. A chance is all he needs. Shelter has become a sad and depressing place for him to be.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Cooper is a squishy boy who loves nothing more than pressing himself into your arms for big hugs. This handsome 4-year-old American Bulldog is incredibly smart! He received extensive professional training through Magic City K9, an organization that accepted Cooper into their unique program where he lived with his trainer at Everglades Correctional Facility in Miami, where inmates and dogs work together to build skills, confidence, and brighter futures. Thanks to this experience, Cooper has learned over 40 commands and truly enjoys using his brain. He made friends with many of the dogs in his training class, but a home as the only dog would be ideal for Cooper as he adjusts to a loving home after being in a shelter for several years. Cooper is a total softie once he knows you, but he is a bit nervous around strangers, so he needs time to build trust. A low-traffic home is ideal. He has excellent house manners and is overall a chill, affectionate dog!You can see more of his sweet personality on Instagram at @supercooper_apr. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. To meet Cooper, please fill out an adoption application at abandonedpetrescue.org Abandoned Pet Rescue - a no-kill shelter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. To meet this adoptable pet, please fill out an adoption application at www.abandonedpetrescue.org and a team member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

He was found as a stray in Palm Beach County on October 22nd and wound up at the shelter. Lady Luck Animal Rescue rescued him in early December where he has been thriving in an amazing foster home. NuNu required surgery on his eyes to correct a condition called entropion, which he has since completely healed from. He is a typical bulldog and suffers from allergies, which we have learned to manage. He is living in a home with little girls who love to dress him up and treat him like a Big NuNu pillow! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 He has a big smooshy face that you can’t resist smooching !! There are literally not enough ways to describe what a nice dog NuNu is. We would love for him to go to a home with big kids to love on him. He walks great on a leash, he is NOT currently living with other dogs or cats. He is not reactive to them on walks and can be tested.
