Story
I adopted Winnie (5YO) from the Humane Society as a first time dog owner. I've made the difficult decision to help her find her forever home that can give her what I can't. Inside the house, she's perfect. House/obedience trained, cuddler, very tolerant of grooming - she hops in the bathtub and good with nail trims. She's patient, a pleaser and isn't destructive. She's vocal when someone's at the door. Outside, she's a very nervous pup. She's reactive to dogs, bicycles, the wind, and anything fast & close. My dog trainer confirmed her behavior is fear-based. Walking her in my neighborhood has become very difficult with all of the surrounding dogs. Every walk leaves her anxious and exhausted. She would do best in a home with a large fenced yard, as the only pet, & without many dogs in the neighborhood. Also, to an experienced owner that understands reactive dogs. Looking for the right fit and would take her back if it didn't work out. Price includes her bed/toys/food, etc.

Story
Maddie is a lovely, happy girl with a strong desire to please and lots of love to give. She came to us through a volunteer that saved and pulled 17 dogs from a shelter outside of Florida as they were in line for euthanasia for space. The facility literally has no space and often has to euthanize dogs as young as puppies. If you are interested in giving one of these lovely rescued dogs a wonderful forever home, please request an application. You can find more of these dogs in need under Skyway Dachshund Rescue on Adopt-A-Pet. Thank you for your consideration.

If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Hey there, awesome humans...I'm Chance the 9-month-old (DOB 4/19/2023) 50lb bundle of joy and mischief with a flair for the extraordinary!  Rescued from an Alabama shelter, I dodged the "ruff" life, and now I'm on a quest for my forever home (or a snuggly foster spot)!   Sure, I'm a mix of 12 different breeds, making me a unique pup with a one-of-a-kind personality. I shine brightest in a home sans tiny tots (none under 12), and I prefer to be the solo dog because, let's face it, I'm a showstopper craving all the spotlight.    Long walks are my jam! I'm a leash protector, always eager to say "hello" to my fellow canines. After six weeks of obedience training, I've mastered sitting, staying, and the art of treating myself to the crate when I hear "go home."    Sure, I've got a strong personality, and maybe a touch of stubbornness, but who can resist my charm? I'm neutered/microchipped, vaccinated, house-trained, and ready to shower my forever peeps with kisses and belly rub requests.   P.S. I'm still a pup at heart, and yes, I love to nibble and chew, but think of it as my way of spreading joy! Help me thrive, and I promise to be the most entertaining and lovable companion you've ever had. Adopt me, and let the enchanting adventures begin! Story
Howdy...my name is MoMo!  I am 2 years old and 50 lbs. I am very high energy and love to play. I love to play ball in the yard...so a fenced in yard is recommended for me. I love to play with the water from the hose too!  I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, hw/fecal negative, on trifexis, dewormed, microchiped.  I am good with kids! From her Foster Mom: She was adopted from a Polk County shelter and they no longer wanted her so they signed her over. . She is very strong and playful but must be the only dog. Not sure about cats. She does try to catch lizards outside so maybe no cats. She is just a really sweet girl who is looking for someone to love and play with her! She has so much Love to give you!!!  Momo has been waiting a year for her new "Furever Home".  Fill out her application at www.stfrancisrescue.org...and as long as my picture is showing...I am available for adoption!!!  We allow week trial stay to ensure you both are perfect for each other! **Please note that the St. Francis Dog Team only adopts out to the immediate Tampa Bay Area...thank you!April 29, 2024, 5:28 pm
