Tricia is a fun-loving, spayed, ~45lbs,  ~2-3 year old, compact bundle of joy! Tricia loves to play with other dogs, toys, and water hoses. Tricia has lived with cats and does best with confident cats. Small foster kittens are a little too exciting for her, but this is expected for such a playful pup. Tricia enjoys mental and physical enrichment including food puzzles and would make an excellent hiking or other adventure buddy. Tricia was a hit with several Tampa Bay Buccaneers players at a recent event and has never met a stranger! Tricia has only been around children briefly during events and has taken treats gently from them but may accidentally knock smaller children over. Tricia responds very well to positive reinforcement training techniques and responds to the cues sit, shake/paw, down (as in lay down), off (great to use when tempting counter treats are within sniffing range!), touch, and place. Tricia is also house trained! Tricia can sometimes get a little overwhelmed and extra excited but is easily redirected with toys and/or treats. If you’re looking for a dog who will be your partner for all of your fun activities, Tricia is your girl!! All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. George (~2yrs) was adopted from the county shelter in March of 2024. He is 66 lbs. of happiness and high energy from the time he wakes up until evening! He also is house trained, he knows some basics (sit, wait (before food), lay down), he has a love/hate relationship with the crate, and he is a BIG cuddle bug - a stage 5 clinger at times! He can't hold his licker and loves to give kisses. Tug is his favorite game. He likes toss as well, but he doesn't like to share the toy for another toss. He prefers the thrill of the chase. Also, he can be mouthy when he plays/gets excited and likes to jump when greeting people and playing. Sometimes he chews things he shouldn't and his listening skills could use some improvement as well. Our family, however, are not so energetic and we don't have the schedule, training knowledge, patience, or finances to give George the happy, healthy, and active lifestyle that he deserves so we have made the difficult decision to rehome him.

Our rescue teamed up with Melanie to help provide Mr. Meaty the best chance at finding his perfect home   Mr. Meaty is a 2 year old lovable slobber chops that will melt your heart. He loves long walks, playing in the yard with his toys; playing tug and chewing on his Kong and Nylabones.  He is the best of both worlds he is as he plays hard but also loves to snuggle up with his person. He will sit and give paw for treats and will stand and give hugs when he sees you.  He has some anxiety and new situations scare him until he feels safe. His new adopter will need to take it slow and not overwhelm him. He is potty trained but not crate trained as being shut in the crate makes him panic.  Mr. Meaty needs an active home, a fenced in yard (at least 5 foot) since when he’s excited he will pull very hard on the leash (we are working on this). He deserves lots of attention so a family that is home more often than not. Since he’s not a puppy, and has already had a hard life at just 2 years old - he won’t be adopted to any home with small or young children. MAXX & ME PET RESCUE adoptable dogsEthan &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143. The first thing that drew us to Ethan was the dramatic and horrific injury he sustained from a deeply embedded collar. We knew he needed help. The recovery he has made on that front in such a short time is truly remarkable! (Before pics, update pics, and current pics included in this post!) Like most dogs who suffer tragic injuries, though, Ethan is soooooo much more than that part of his story. The moment you meet him, his charisma bowls you over. His bright, sparkling eyes and goofy smile are as endearing as can be. Throw in the underbite that causes his jowls to hang on his teeth and… well… goooood luck not having to grab him and smooch his face! It’s impossible not to! Ethan will be neutered soon and on the hunt for his forever family. We are currently processing applications for him! (If in the Tampa area, we can do a foster to adopt and allow him to join your family right away!) He will need a fenced yard to run and cut up in. He would prefer a friendly dog or pack to join so he can wrestle and run and play with them but we will also consider an active family committed to exercise and socialization who doesn’t have a dog already. Ethan loves children and people of all shapes and sizes. People = pets, treats, all the “good boys”, so he’s a big fan! In addition to them going to heaven, he believes all dogs were put on earth to play and rough house so a home with crotchety older guys won’t work. Ethan needs younger dogs who want to be a mentor and demonstrate good behaviors he can emulate but who can keep up with him as he attempts to break the speed record for yard courses and zoomies. He also has some boxer in him maybe so he’s handsy and bumps with his chest when he plays. We cannot say enough about this guy!
