Harvest was rescued in July 2023 from a cruelty case in a "home" of 20+ dogs and her own 3-week old puppies, since weaning them off when they were ready, Harvest has been living her best life and has not looked back! Harvest is a mostly black pittie with white paws, white tipped tail and a blaze of white on her chest and face along with some freckles and beautiful golden brown eyes. Harvest is an independent pup who mostly ignores other dogs when off leash in dog friendly areas. Harvest is very non-reactive and enjoys focusing on her tennis ball. On leash, she is more dog selective and will vocalize her displeasure quickly, so it's important to know her boundaries. Harvest will make her opinions known and get bossy with younger dogs. Harvest is a medium energy pup. She loves to walk and play! She's very athletic and would do well with an active owner. Loves sniff walks and squirrel hunting. Absolutely loves the beach or a dog friendly area where she can be off leash playing keep away and fetch. She is also a big cuddle bug and will give you the warmest hug you've ever had, accompanied by thousands of kisses. Harvest is just a really good girl. She is a very happy-go-lucky pup who rolls with whatever comes her way. Harvest is one of the most affectionate, friendly, funny, listens, and is very cued in on her handler. Our boy Cucumber is like a delish golden graham cracker – chunky pit bod married with an adorable worried face that makes him irresistible! He’s approximately four years old and about 60lbs, but has been a great leash walker and never mouthy with treats or his toys. Despite coming from a home with 22 other dogs in deplorable conditions and being kept in a cage far too small for him, he has maintained a positive outlook and exudes best friend vibes every day. The ideal family for Cucumber would be active yet enjoy relaxing evenings together on the couch. A yard would be a bonus as Cucumber has discovered the joy of toys and balls for the first time in his life, especially those with ropes. Despite her challenging past, she is nothing but love! Have you ever thought of the definition of joyful? We think it might be a beautiful tan and white dreamboat pit mix named Cantaloupe. Cantaloupe is an adorable girl who is at the great age of about a year and half – past the puppy crazies and ready to learn and be a very loved family member. She came from a confiscation with 22 other dogs where she never got the home she deserved from the beginning, but she has brought nothing but sunshine with her to the shelter and loves everything about her human friends! Cantaloupe would do well with a family who is ready to show her the ropes – she would like to be with you and involved in your life so would do best in a home where someone is around much of the time. She’s a great petite size of about 45lbs, and she absolutely loves to sit with you in your chair or spot and get snuggles, and is starting to play independently and discover some toys are really fun! Esmeralda is a petite grey and white pittie with the sweetest eyes! Esmeralda was taken in to CACC as a stray. She ended up catching a URI, which later turned to pneumonia. She was time stamped to be euthanized due to her being sick and the shelter is so crowded with not enough resources to treat her. Players for Pits stepped up and covered her treatment, and now she is healthy and starting her new beautiful life! Ezie is very smart. She knows how to not only sit, but how to give paw too. She always listens very well and she is a very good girl in the car. Esmeralda is absolutely wonderful with the all of the kids that she has met. Esmeralda has a medium energy level. She is mostly chill and loves to cuddle! Ezie is the perfect catch! She knows sit, give paw, stay, and come. Also, she is a perfect angel in the crate! Ezie is a wonderful dog in every way! Charlotte is a a beautiful young, healthy pit mix. I got her from CACC 6 months ago. They told me she was an older (maybe 4 years old), calm dog. But once she got used to being in a home, she came out of her shell and is a happy, young, energetic dog. I’m 60 years old and can’t keep up with her! She's 100% housebroken, can be left alone for many hours (I've done 8 hours a few times and it's been fine). She doesn't have separation anxiety and is not destructive while you're gone. She doesn't countersurf. The only times she's ripped something is when I'm ignoring her (like when I'm working) - she knows it will get my attention! She is a total "velcro dog" and wants a lot of attention. She loves people, I mean she really LOVES people. She's ok with dogs if she can be slowly introduced. She also loves squirrels and will pull on the leash when she sees one. She can jump a 4' fence. She is a great dog, she just needs more people (or another dog) in the household to play with.
