This sweet girl was rescued with her litter of eight tiny puppies. She was such a good mama, and now that all of her puppies have found their forever homes, it’s finally Chili’s turn. 💕Chili’s is a shy, gentle soul who is still learning to trust the world. She would do best in a calm home, ideally with another confident dog who can show her the ropes. With patience and love, she’s sure to blossom into the loyal companion she’s meant to be.In her foster home, Chili's is so soft with the resident old, blind, little Miniature Pinscher. The foster mom says having a confident dog to teach her the ropes will help her grow a lot. She's now playful with the dogs at her foster mom's work but alone it's like she doesn't know how to play outside because she just sits by the back door to be let back inside. We think she would love an active family to take her for walks on trails. 🐾 Shy but oh-so-sweet🐾 Great with other dogs🐾 Ready for her forever familyWe require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Lyric had a great day out of the shelter on a date. She did great in the car, but needed a bit of help getting in. Lyric is very gentle on the leash. She loves smelling and looking at everything around and will sit politely for a treat.Lyric was very calm when other dogs walked by even when a couple of dogs barked at her, she never barked back. Their date took them to Virginia lake and to meet new people at the V.A. Lyric had a great day and can`t wait for more dates in her future.

She loves spending time with those she trusts and thrives in a calm, structured environment. Journey can be selective with other dogs, so we recommend slow, thoughtful introductions if there are other pets in the home. She’s looking for an adopter who will give her the stability and love she deserves — someone who understands that trust takes time and is willing to walk this next chapter of her Journey together. She has some skin allergies that are now being treated and are managed with diet.
