Story
MLK -aka Curious George and Butterscotch are looking for a loving forever home TOGETHER! Both boys had a rough and disappointing beginning but they are safe and loved in foster. MLK was rescued in the Bronx in January when someone heartless threw him out in the cold bleeding and covered in mange. His ears and paws were inflamed and bleeding. He was emaciated and dehydrated. We originally believed him to be a puppy bc of his underdeveloped body. After months of care, nutrition and medication, MLK blossomed into a beautiful boy. During his healing process, he bonded with Butterscotch who assumed the role of his protecter. MLK had never been outside, walked on a leash or socialized. He was terrified by anything unfamiliar but Butterscotch played an integral role in his healing and recovery. We would like to see them in a home together. Butterscotch is an ACC survivor. He is stunning. He is a Sharpei- pitbull mix. He is a very sweet and funny guy. Young -approximately2 years old and fully vetted. He loves to play in the yard, crate trained, good w cats and dogs but would require a meet. Loves his buddy MLK. Butterscotch enjoys walks and hanging in the yard. If you’re interested in opening your heart and home to these beautiful boys, please complete an application with Remember Me Rescue NY. Let’s help these boys enjoy their summer in a loving forever home Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you! ##2067391##

Story
Look at this S M I L E - this is Princess 👑 It’s heartbreaking 💔 to know that she’s losing her home and her dad. It’s not your typical story though… Her dad loves her so much but fighting a battle involving his health. We all agree what’s best at this point is to move Princess 👑 into a foster or adoptive home by this weekend. Princess is a young female pitbull mix who’s great with all commands and housebroken. She loves to lay around but she also loves to run and play catch and do all kinds of activities. She’s spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. If you can FOSTER, please submit a foster application on our website and we will supply you with everything you need. Crate, food, supplies etc. We will also get her training should it be needed. Two week decompression protocol is a must, please be sure to read it thoroughly when you submit the application (the link is on our website). Ideally, Princess will be fostered (or adopted) by someone who has some large breed dog experience, is in agreement with the necessity of crating (or willing to be taught why it’s an absolute necessity) and DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE OTHER PETS LIVING IN THE HOME. Princess *may* be fine with other dogs but has lived as the *only pet* for a long time. Therefor we would like to find someone who can foster this sweet girl without other pets. Princess has not been around kids so we would prefer a home without young kids until we have a better understanding of her needs. She likes to “talk” to the squirrels 🐿 so we are erring on the side of caution: No Cats 🐈 If you work 8 or 10 hours a day NO PROBLEM, you don’t need to be a work from home person to provide a happy and safe place for Miss Princess. All she needs is someone who’s open to following our protocols (because they make for the best results) and can give her love and structure. We’ll provide you with the rest. Vacationing soon? NO PROBLEM, we’ll take care of Princess while you’re away so please don’t let planned trips stand in the way of fostering. BARC-CT.org/foster BARC-CT.org/adoption Please help us help this sweet pup. She deserves a soft landing since she also losing her person 💔

Story
TABBY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE SHE IS ADOPTED!  Tabby is a 2-year-old bundle of joy offering up her velvety coat to pet with a happy "smile" whenever she sees you.  Her foster family says she is full of playful energy, eagerly romping around the house with her giant foster brother who is 3 times her size.  She gets along with cats as well as other dogs, and she is both crate-trained and potty-trained. Tabby is full grown at 55 pounds.  She loves affection and will happily climb into your lap given the slightest invitation...she can never get enough belly rubs, hugs, or kisses.  And if you like to put clothes on your doggie, she wears t-shirts, pajamas, and jackets just fine.   This sweet girl is ready and waiting to be someone's furever friend.  She is fully vetted including spay, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations and her rabies shot.  Adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to CT.  We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Tabby up north to her new family.
