The Dogo Argentino is a powerful, purpose-bred working dog developed from the Córdoba Fighting Dog, Great Dane, Spanish Mastiff, Pyrenean Mastiff, and Dogue de Bordeaux. This is not a breed for first-time dog owners. Dogos were bred to protect humans and hunt wild boar, and they require confident, experienced handling. Mac is seeking an adult-only home with proven experience in protection or guardian breeds, such as Mastiffs, Boerboels, Cane Corsos, or similar. Despite their strength, Dogos are known for being: • Extremely loyal • Loving and people-oriented • Intelligent and stubborn • High prey drive Mac is currently at a critical developmental stage and will need a handler who provides clear structure, strict boundaries, and consistency. For this reason, Mac must be enrolled in a structured training program prior to adoption.
