Story
Meet Gunner, Your New Best Friend! Gunner is a 2-year-old male American Staffordshire Terrier with a heart as big as his paws. He is the definition of a gentle giant, calm, affectionate, and always ready for a belly rub. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side and melt into your arms, Gunner is your guy. He’s fantastic with kids and other dogs, making him a great addition to a family home or a multi-pet household. Gunner is both house-trained and crate-trained, and he has no health issues. Rehoming him is one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make, but due to my own health issues, I can no longer provide the care and attention he deserves. I’m looking for a loving home where he can continue to thrive and be part of a family that will cherish him as much as I do. If you’re ready to give Gunner the love and home he needs, please reach out. He’ll return it with endless cuddles and devotion.

Story
Well hello everypawty! Did you say you wanted to get to know me? Well, lets see, I love humans, but other dogs are a hit or miss, so me being the only pet in your home would be the absolute best! Even though I have an awesome professional trainer working with me, I can be a little reactive to other dogs while going on walks, so having a fenced in backyard where I can run and play would be way better! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love walks, but it will have to take a special someone to work with me to make sure I listen while going out on adventures away from home! I also love it when someone throws toys for me! If you don't have a great throwing arm, that's okay, because I'm great around kids, so an awesome family giving me attention also works for me! To adopt me, please fill out an application at lpah.org/adoption.

Story
Alright folks, not to brag but I'm kind of a big deal. Here is a little bit more about my fabulous personality: I'm medium to high energy, so that means my perfect family will be active. You like long walks? How about playing fetch in the back yard? Then I'm your gal! Do you like to shop? Well then, I love toys! So you can shop for me all day and pick out the coolest ones! I do love to chew them though, so you'll have to shop quite often! If you get cold easily, then don't worry I can keep you warm! I'm quite snuggly and I love attention! If you would like to adopt me, an application can be filled out at lpah.org/adoption.

Meet Montana – The Wiggle Machine with a Heart of Gold Quick Facts: Name: Montana Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Age: 2 years Weight: 59 lbs House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Working on it—very well-behaved in the home Other Pets: Cat-selective; best with proper introductions Good with Kids: Best with older kids due to his size and exuberance Energy Level: High—playful, social, and full of bounce Special Needs: Would benefit from continued training with a confident owner Why You’ll Love Montana: Overflowing with personality—goofy, affectionate, and always happy to see you House-trained and leash trained Social butterfly who loves people (and UPS drivers!) Loves to play and enjoys walks or backyard zoomies Smart and eager to learn—great for active, experienced dog parents Has an adorable “happy-feet” dance when he gets excited Fully vetted and ready to be someone’s best friend About Montana’s Breed Mix: American Staffordshire Terrier American Staffordshire Terrier mixes are affectionate, intelligent, and full of personality. These loyal companions are deeply devoted to their people and thrive when included in daily life. AmStaffs are strong, athletic, and playful, making them ideal for active homes where they can burn off energy and show off their smarts. With consistent training and socialization, they’re often great with other dogs and gentle with children. Confident yet loving, an AmStaff mix is a steady, soulful friend who brings both fun and loyalty into the home. Montana’s Story & Personality: Montana arrived severely neglected—emaciated and covered in wounds—but you’d never know it from his joyful spirit. This resilient boy greets everyone with a smile and a tail wag. He’s housetrained, walks beautifully on leash, and is looking for a home that can match his energy and enthusiasm for life. Montana adores people, especially those who give him attention (bonus points if you’re a delivery driver!). He thrives with structure and would love an adopter who can continue basic training. He’s very intelligent and eager to learn, making him a great student. Because of his exuberance, a home with older kids is ideal—Montana’s happy wiggles and “herding” behavior (yes, he may gently tug your shirt to guide you!) can be a bit much for little ones. He would truly shine in a household that values playful energy, daily walks, and affection on tap. Montana’s Perfect Home: Active adopter or family who can keep up with his energy Fenced yard or regular outdoor time to run and play Older children or teens who can enjoy his goofball nature A confident, experienced dog parent to continue training A family who wants a smart, affectionate, social pup to share adventures Ready to Make Montana Yours? Story
Bonnie is a 2 year old, 49 Lb American Staffordshire Terrier This dog is not part of CrisisDogsNC.  This is a courtesy posting on behalf of Ben with Haven Dog Training.  If you are interested in finding out more, email him directly at email ben@havendogtraining.com  Meet Bonnie. When it comes to homing dogs a sob story sells (and boy does she have one) however, I want someone to adopt her because they want a great dog and not because they want to get a dog on an emotional impulse or to brag about her back story. For anyone I interview as a potential home I will tell you everything I know about her.    Bonnie is energetic, smart, and incredibly sweet. For the right dog person she even has sport dog potential. She was intitially unsure around large men but now will warm up to anyone. She also loves playing with my personal dogs. She’s my ideal pet dog-has a good burst of energy and then will happily sleep the rest of the day away.    Bonnie is crate, house, and leash trained. I want her to go to a home that will incorporate training into their life with her, crate her when leaving her home, and shower her with love. I have taken her on as my personal project and so she is available directly through me. I am in no rush to get rid of her. I am willing to wait for the perfect home. Ideally I want her to go to someone in/around the triangle so I can do a follow up lesson as well as be a resource for life. I also offer boarding to dogs that have been through one of my programs. While she’s been just fine with other dogs as well as an indoor pet rabbit I think she’d thrive as an only dog-she literally cannot get enough love.    If you’re interested in applying to be Bonnie’s new home then email ben@havendogtraining.com with your name, number, and location as well as why you would like to adopt her and I’ll get back to you from there. If you aren’t looking for a new dog but see this-sharing it would be a huge help. The more people that share her,  the more likely she’ll find the perfect home nearby.      November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm
