Story
Dale is approx thirteen years old, 53 pounds and is an American Staffordshire mix. He is a wonderful goofy character! Dale was picked up by animal control as a stray.  He was starving and looked like he had given up and was on his way out. A week into fostering and he popped back, playful, enjoying food and toys! He is great with other female dogs and fantastic with people. His foster writes: "Dale is so loving. I rub his head and give him kisses and he literally melts into my hands. He's such a good boy! He is going to make a great dog for someone!"  Dale loves his milk bones and playing with his toy bone (see hilarious video). Dale is healthy and fully vetted. Dale has visual impairment due to a detached retina and we had some of his teeth pulled that caused him pain.  He doesn't let his lack of sight stop him!  He learned his way around his fosters house and yard very well!  Dale is a playful soulful boy, one of our favorites.  Many years ahead for this boy snatched from the jaws of death!  He loves to be the life of the party and looks for anyone who might have a good treat or love to give him!  He has never met a person he didn't like!  He is also a hoarder.  He likes to shoe shop in his foster mom's closet and take all the shoes to his crate!  He doesn't chew them, he just likes to collect them!  He also likes to wander around the house and get his brothers and sisters food bowls and carry back to his crate.  At least she knows where to find anything missing!   If you are interested in finding out more about Dale, please fill out an adoption application online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!    April 25, 2024, 12:58 pm

Story
Bonnie is a 2 year old, 49 Lb American Staffordshire Terrier This dog is not part of CrisisDogsNC.  This is a courtesy posting on behalf of Ben with Haven Dog Training.  If you are interested in finding out more, email him directly at email ben@havendogtraining.com  Meet Bonnie. When it comes to homing dogs a sob story sells (and boy does she have one) however, I want someone to adopt her because they want a great dog and not because they want to get a dog on an emotional impulse or to brag about her back story. For anyone I interview as a potential home I will tell you everything I know about her.    Bonnie is energetic, smart, and incredibly sweet. For the right dog person she even has sport dog potential. She was intitially unsure around large men but now will warm up to anyone. She also loves playing with my personal dogs. She’s my ideal pet dog-has a good burst of energy and then will happily sleep the rest of the day away.    Bonnie is crate, house, and leash trained. I want her to go to a home that will incorporate training into their life with her, crate her when leaving her home, and shower her with love. I have taken her on as my personal project and so she is available directly through me. I am in no rush to get rid of her. I am willing to wait for the perfect home. Ideally I want her to go to someone in/around the triangle so I can do a follow up lesson as well as be a resource for life. I also offer boarding to dogs that have been through one of my programs. While she’s been just fine with other dogs as well as an indoor pet rabbit I think she’d thrive as an only dog-she literally cannot get enough love.    If you’re interested in applying to be Bonnie’s new home then email ben@havendogtraining.com with your name, number, and location as well as why you would like to adopt her and I’ll get back to you from there. If you aren’t looking for a new dog but see this-sharing it would be a huge help. The more people that share her,  the more likely she’ll find the perfect home nearby.      April 25, 2024, 12:58 pm

Story
This little guy may be low to the ground, but his affectionate nature reaches new heights. Naveen is a people enthusiast, and he thrives on human companionship. From gentle ear scratches to cozying up, he's happiest when surrounded by his favorite people. His tail wags with excitement, and his soulful eyes light up when he's showered with attention and affection. While his love for people is undeniable, he's also a bit of a "nervous nelly." New situations can make him a tad anxious, but with a patient and understanding adopter, he blossoms into a devoted and loyal friend. A calm and reassuring environment will help him build confidence and showcase his true, loving personality. Naveen's unique physique adds to his charm, and his endearing low-to-the-ground stature makes him an absolute heart-stealer. If you're looking for a canine companion who appreciates a cozy lap, and just needs a little extra TLC to overcome his nervous tendencies, this guy might be the perfect match for you. Open your heart and home to this lovable low-rider, and watch as he transforms into the most devoted and affectionate member of your family.

Story
Bruno came to us severely neglected. After months of love and medical care this big goofy boy is ready for a family. He is best with female dogs and has several play gals she pals around with Male dogs make him grumpy. He is a gentle lower energy boy He is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs about 60 lbs. he was a stray at Hoke County who found himself st the euthanasia door and one of our volunteers was there and took him home to foster. He couldnt see such a sweet goofball lose his life. He has surgery for eye entropian so the skin around his eyes is looking better. He does have some sensitive skin as a lot of white dogs do so a fish based diet is recommend All our dogs/cats are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, on preventions, and spayed/neutered if old enough. Story
Well hello everypawty! Did you say you wanted to get to know me? Well, lets see, I love humans, but other dogs are a hit or miss, so me being the only pet in your home would be the absolute best! Even though I have an awesome professional trainer working with me, I can be a little reactive to other dogs while going on walks, so having a fenced in backyard where I can run and play would be way better! I mean, don't get me wrong, I love walks, but it will have to take a special someone to work with me to make sure I listen while going out on adventures away from home! I also love it when someone throws toys for me! If you don't have a great throwing arm, that's okay, because I'm great around kids, so an awesome family giving me attention also works for me! To adopt me, please fill out an application at lpah.org/adoption.

Story
Alright folks, not to brag but I'm kind of a big deal. Here is a little bit more about my fabulous personality: I'm medium to high energy, so that means my perfect family will be active. You like long walks? How about playing fetch in the back yard? Then I'm your gal! Do you like to shop? Well then, I love toys! So you can shop for me all day and pick out the coolest ones! I do love to chew them though, so you'll have to shop quite often! If you get cold easily, then don't worry I can keep you warm! I'm quite snuggly and I love attention! If you would like to adopt me, an application can be filled out at lpah.org/adoption.
