Story
Molly is a young female who was found as a stray with her pregnant sister. She looks like a pug mix, maybe with a boxer. But that is a guess based on her good looks!!Molly can be shy when she first meets new people. She was very skiddish when she first arrived in her foster home and she took a few days to warm up. She is still nervous in new situations and can still be spooked by loud noises. However, once she is comfortable, she reveals her true playful, and silly personality!! Molly is crate trained but doesn’t need to be crated other than for her comfort and security. Molly is potty trained. She is very playful and loves zoomies. Molly is not cat tested. Molly adores her sister and her sister's babies. We are gradually introducing her to other dogs.We do not recommend Molly for a house with young children because she would likely be very nervous around young playful kiddos. Molly will need a fenced yard or will need to be kept leashed outside at all times. The adoption fee for Molly is $250 and includes two sets of shots, spay surgery and microchip at our partner veterinarian.Apply to meet this sweet girl at www.ricopetrecovery.org.

Story
Sweet Bailey was born in our care on March 17, 2026. A Happy Saint Patrick's Day surprise!! Bailey's mom is in our care and looks like a Boxer mix, maybe with some pug or some English bulldog. The dad is unknown. Whatever the mix, these puppies are sweet, healthy and smart! They are all well socialized with people and with other dogs. We estimate that Bailey will be a medium sized girlie full grown (about 40 lbs).If you are looking for a sweet, playful, cuddly puppy with a side of forehead wrinkles, apply to meet Bailey at www.ricopetrecovery.org.Bailey received her first vaccines on May 13, and will be ready to go to her forever home after she receives her second vaccines in about 3 weeks. The adoption fee for Bailey is $350 and includes the first two sets of vaccines, spay and microchip at our partner veterinarian when she is old enough to be spayed. The adopter is responsible for the third and fourth sets of puppy vaccines and any additional vet care.

Story
🥰 This beautiful girl is Cocoa. Cocoa is 6 years old and has a pure velvet coat. She is very smart and PERFECTLY house trained. She has not had any accidents, has no desire to get on furniture, she is curious, but not at all destructive.  🧸 She is also a very gentle dog that loves her toys, but does not destroy them. She can “sit” and give you her paw like a champ. Cocoa would love an active family that would take her for car rides, hikes and runs. She is an athletic girl that excels at ZOOMIES and TWIRLS.  Cocoa needs some leash work and would need slow introductions to new dogs. 🙏Please consider fostering or fostering to adopt Cocoa so she can continue her great progress! Apply to meet Cocoa at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Izzy is a sweet girl who will let any person pet her. She seems very good with children. She is sensitive about her ears (just pulls away) and we have been told she is sensitive about her legs (untested). She was a little uneasy, but good, at the vet.Izzy birth date is listed as 12-17-2021 and she is a spayed female. She was used in dog fighting as the “underdog” at some point in her life, then she was rescued by GU. GU took her all over in his truck and fattened her up by feeding her people food. GU passed away in 6-2025. LO took ownership. LO loved Izzy but moved 5 times in a year, and was too busy to take Izzy out like she needs. Izzy lost a lot of weight. I offered to foster her to give her regular food, potty time, and companionship.Izzy is reactive to other animals. She whines and pulls toward them but then acts aggressively. It looks like fear to me and I am going to try to see if some training will help. For now, she needs a home where she is the only pet.

Story
Penny was found on the streets shortly after having a litter. She has been with us two years, and is a big people pleaser. She is on the smaill side - 40lbs. Her happy place is snuggling on the couch. We had her trained professionally for 6 months, but she is still a leash puller. We are looking for a single pet home for her, as she can be reactive with other dogs. She has an adoptive sister that she plays well with usually, but lately they have had increasing issues and fighting. She also has a playmate that she sees twice a week, that works out well, but she would really like to be a family's sole pet.
