Story
Say Hi to George!  This poor pup has spent his whole life in a shelter. At 1 year old he has never had a home of his own.    George was found as a puppy running the streets with his mom. She has since been adopted and it’s now George’s turn for happily ever after !!    He is quite literally a super mutt !! We did his DNA and it came back as ….  Boxer…27.1% Border Collie…15.9% Norwegian Elkhound…14.2% Catahoula Leopard Dog…14.1% Golden Retriever…13.5% Supermutt…15.2% (mix of GSD, Lab, and Mountain Cur)    Who would have guessed?!    He went through our prison training program and did great! But he will need a very patient owner to help him continue to grow and figure out life isn’t so scary. George is looking for a home with a fenced yard, no young children and some furry siblings. He loves having other dogs around !    George is potty trained, crate trained and does well on a leash. He is also neutered, fully vaccinated, HW negative and on prevention.    If you are ready to welcome George with open arms, please apply to adopt at www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Due to the volume of apps and inquiries, we may not be able to respond to everyone.October 3, 2025, 10:13 am

Story
Hi, I'm Crawford!  I'm your typical 10 week old puppy who loves to snuggle, sleep and play. The nice people brought me into RO after my sister (Kim) and I were diagnosed with a bad case of mange. You may notice my hair is still growing back, but it's almost back to normal and I'm much less itchy. I'm believed to be a Boxer Mix, my parents are unknown. I'm a little bigger than my sister in size, but I don't think I'll grow too big.  I am looking for a home with people to play and snuggle with me. I would be okay with an apartment, I'm pretty quiet during the night and when my humans leave as long as you leave me with a nice warm bed and some toys. I would love a fence to run and play, but not required. I'm working on potty training, it's still a ways to go but I will go outside when I'm taken out (after sniffing all of my surroundings).  I know my new family is out there, could it be you!?  Adoption fee is $400. All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm current. Apply at rescuedohio.org to become an approved adopter and a meet and greet can be set up once approved.  ##2628552##

Story
Say hi to Lorelai!! This sweet 1 year old girl came to us from an Amish puppy mill. She spent the first year of her life in a kennel with little to no human interaction. She has now completed our prison training program and is ready to find her happily ever after!   Lorelai will require a very patient family who understands she is still learning what love and a home is all about. She is very reserved in new environments, but is a lover once she warms up!   Her ideal home would be with adults only, or older kids, as young kids are too noisy and fast ;), have a fenced in backyard so she can safely explore, and someone committed to showing her life is GOOD and humans can be loving.    She does well with other dogs and cats, but does not require another dog in her forever home.   Lorelai is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She does have a grade 2 out of 6 heart murmur but it is not effecting her life at all. She has no exercise intolerance and underwent anesthesia for her spay without any complications. It will just need monitored with her family vet.   She is crate trained, house trained and knows her basic commands. If you are interested in adopting Lorelai please visit our website and complete an adoption application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! This beautiful girl is Cocoa. Cocoa is 4 yrs old and has a pure velvet coat. She is very smart and PERFECTLY house trained. She has not had any accidents, has no desire to get on furniture, she is curious, but not at all destructive. She is also a very gentle dog that loves her toys, but does not destroy them. Great loving dogo argentino! Very loyal and protective of the family. Pros: - playful personality to the max -great hunting dog if that’s your thing - your home will be instantly more secure - loves kids Potential cons: - not recommended for cat owners. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Fill out an Adoption Application HEADLINER : Lively, Lovely, LaLa, aka Lala-palooza, Lala-pop! PERSONALITY : It's hard to believe that Lala hasn't been snapped up as yet. She's smart and loves everyone she meets. This energetic girl loves fresh veggies, fruit, ice cubes and a vigorous "butt scratch." Have you ever had that friend or relative that overstays their welcome? You know you have. Do not despair as there is a solution. Lala definitely has the bulldog "toots" that are guaranteed to clear out a room (or unwanted guests). Just remember to "breathe through your mouth". :) If you're looking for a dog with the personality of a potato, Lala is not the dog for you; lazy is not in Lala's DNA. If you want a hiking or running companion or a dog (with training) that would excel in lure coursing, agility, fly ball or any other high energy sport, Lala's your girl. Ahhh, if only there were a way to harness all that energy. FAVORITE ACTIVITIES : Lala is a high energy pup that loves to fetch... though she hasn't quite grasped the idea of releasing yet, she is working on it. Lala is a pup that never passes up the opportunity for a good game of tug of war. MEDICAL ISSUES : None. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST KIND OF HOME : Lala would do best in an active home with a fenced yard where she can run around to her heart’s content and burn some of that high energy off. Lala can quite play rough with other dogs. A home where she the only dog soaking up the attention or a home with another large male dog that matches her energy would be best. Kids older than 12 would be best as Lala may knock a smaller child down. Lala would greatly benefit from positive reinforcement obedience classes. Though Lala loves to go for a ride, she does get car sick so best not to feed her before she hops in the car. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Application Fees, Adoption Donations and Rescue Policy: Please know that 100% of our fees and donations pay for the costs of rescuing dogs. These include but are not limited to pull fees from shelters, veterinary examinations, vaccinations, medications and care, microchips, neuter/spay surgeries, heartworm treatments, behavior evaluations, and foster care, as needed. Approved adopters must have their primary residence in one of the following states: Delaware, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and parts of North Carolina and Kentucky. You must be at least 21 years of age to apply and legally sign our contract for adoption. Applications must be completed by the homeowner.  We do not adopt giant breed dogs to renters. Applications will be denied if anyone residing in the household has a record indicating drug/alcohol abuse, theft, or violence. Pets currently in the applicant's home must have a history of appropriate veterinary care. Homes with intact dogs will not be approved for adoption.  Proof of any of the following exceptions is required: The intact dog is a working member of a law enforcement, or search and rescue/recovery team. The intact dog is registered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club and is actively being shown. A veterinarian has determined the sterilization procedure would harm the intact dog.  We believe in Force Free Training Methods and do not approve of methods or devices using pain or force to control the dog, or to deter undesirable behavior.  Homes with highly varnished steps must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. **We encourage you to remediate potential safety issues while your application is under review, prior to the home visit. &#226&#128&#139Any inside steps to which the dog(s) have access, must have carpeting, securely fixed stair treads, or a non-skid surface. Homes with highly varnished floors must have non-slip area rugs or mats wherever your animal walks or rests frequently.  **Puppy Adoption Policy** To ensure proper house training and socialization, puppies will only be adopted to homes where an adult will not be away more than an hour per day, per month of age of the puppy, up to 6 months. Certain large-breed dogs should not be sterilized prior to 12 - 18 months of age.  If you adopt an intact puppy, you will sign an adoption contract agreeing to have the dog sterilized at your expense at the time your veterinarian recommends. Proof of sterilization must be provided to Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue as soon as the procedure is completed.  If the puppy is not sterilized as required, Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to claim legal ownership of the dog.  For additional information please review our FAQs or contact mastiffstomutts@gmail.com **Mastiffs To Mutts Rescue reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption that occurs through this organization without disclosure.  We reserve the right to make exceptions for special circumstances. **PA Kennel License: 05845   January 6, 2026, 7:07 pm
