Where I come from, Viktor stands for VICTORY!!! And I am living proof of the victory there is in the rescue world! I mean, there I was, skinny and mangy and sad and scared and trying to help my little "girlfriend" sweet Dasha. I had no idea who to trust, I had no idea where to go or what we were going to eat..... We are a great pair of pups, only about 7 months old, and we were literally found dumped on the side of a railroad tracks at less than 10 weeks old :( When we were found, we each had one eye that was like a "cherry pie", I think that's what the doctor man said..... (the doc said "cherry eye!!") We were so bonded that Shirley's left eye and Laverne's right eye had the "cherry pie" :) I mean, how cute and sad is that???? Collette is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Collette was a young puppy running the streets in a small coastal community. A nice lady rescued her and cared for her until we had room to take her into our rescue. Collette is an American Staffordshire terrier - probably a mix - going on two years of age and weighing around 60 pounds. She grew up around cats, children, and other dogs - so she is good with all of them. Collette is a very sweet girl. She is crate trained, fairly well-housetrained, and good in the house. But we have seen her use the pee pads on occasion. Collette loves playing with toys and other dogs. She is normally at the bottom of the dog pile and we have to make sure that the other dogs are not being too rough with her. Collette is a typical wiggly butt pibble. She is sweet and submissive and just wants to be loved. But doesn't realize her size, so she can be a bit of a bruiser. She only needs additional obedience training. Collette will sit for treats, walks well on a leash, and rides well in a vehicle. She also obeys fairly well and comes when called. Collette must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a large fenced yard to run and play. Collette is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Collettes' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Washington or New Stanton PA. She is being fostered in Texas and we do not have the resources to send her north until after she is adopted.
